  • Sections stock scanner & printer preference is missing from the Solutions Center

I just bought a 6510 Photosmart e-all-in-one. I had no problem setting up on my laptop and set it up easily on an old desktop PC. However, I noticed in the center of HP Solutions on the laptop that two sections are missing from this - Actions "Scan" and "Printer Preferences". The only sections appearing on the page of the laptop are connected solutions, commercial Web resources, help & Support, then disclosures of personal information. However, the missing sections both appear on center of my Solutions desktop PC. How can I get they appear on Solutions Center the laptop?

The Solutions Center I want to talk about is the page that appears when I click on all programs / HP / series Photosmart HP 6510 / HP Photosmart 6510 series or the icon of the printer.

EDIT: I completely rewrote this post, including the title I used the terminology wrong so I hope that makes more sense now and I can get an answer to my problem. Maybe even an expert!

Apologies in advance to the moderators if I did the wrong thing by rewriting, sorry.

Due to a lot of things in my life I never had to call HP. However yesterday I did something stupid and had to reformat my hard drive. As a result, I had a clean slate to work with, and last night I was finally able to install the missing stock Scanner and Printer preferences. What I noticed during installation this time, was that I had an additional question that I could choose to install from the full functionality driver, called Smart something thing-or-other (sorry, can't remember title), which certainly is not in the list before (this is the same list that includes HP Photo Creations). I don't know why that did not exist before, but maybe it could be that I installed the printer in order to deparaments of the one below. He would have just because the news about my previous printer, which I had uninstalled it, was somehow still on my PC. Was the order I completed the installation in this time - 1) go to devices and printers, add printer, click the Photosmart series 6510 with the URL contains only numbers & points, and NOT the one with http / / in front of him (which is the link to the eprint centre) 2) download the driver full features on the site of HP , launched the present and choose what to install. And voila!

  • Create pdf from scanner option not appearing is not in adobe reader DC. Can anyone help?

I don't see the "create a pdf from a scanner" option in adobe reader DC. I have an option to create a PDF Online and then the next page offers a lot more options (pdf export, pdf, edit, comment, fill and sign, sent for signature, send & track) but not the real option I want. Ironically, it worked quite perfectly yesterday with nitro 9 (pre-installed on my computer Lenovo) I uninstalled as I prefer adobe! Now I can print PDFs already saved on my printer (communication is apparently possible between adobe and my printer), but I can't create a PDF of my scanner. My operating system is windows 8.1 and my printer/scanner/copier is a Dell 2335 (no color). Y at - it something I am doing wrong or do I downloaded the adobe version to enable the option "create a pdf from a scanner? Any help would be welcome. Thanks AJ

A quick introduction to Adobe products.

Adobe Reader. Free. New name for Adobe Acrobat Reader. Can read a PDF (free). Can create PDF files online (extra charge). Cannot make a PDF from a scanner. Never could.

Adobe Acrobat. Commercial (a cool weather or subscription). Two flavors: Acrobat Pro and Acrobat Standard. CAN create PDF files, including the scanner.

If you had once an Adobe product that could create a PDF from a scanner, you have Adobe Acrobat (not Reader).

Note that many scanners is also equipped with scan-to-PDF software.

  • Use the Interface of the Scanner in gray

Does anyone know how I could change things permanently in a scanning interface? I'm on a desktop PC Windows 7.

When I select file > create > pdf from scanner > scanning custom, and then select the Options button next to the scanner, the User Interface appears dimmed. I really want to permanently change the defaults - dpi, color, paper size, etc.. Is there another way to do this in Acrobat DC?

    Thank you.

    Hello

I expect you are scanning with WIA scanner drivers. Interface scanner option will always disable to WIA drivers.

If you want to enable this option, you can download the scanner TWAIN drivers, site of the society of the scanner. For TWAIN drivers, these options are by default turned on and you can set any value of DPI, color and papersize.

  • The Acrobat Pro DC scanner interface Windows OS TWAIN published since July 14,2015 update.

The program Acrobat DC is more interface correctly with the scanner driver TWAIN of Windows since the update of July 14, 2015.

    My settings are:

    Windows 7 Pro 64 bit OS w / Service Pack 1.

Adobe Acrobat Pro DC version 2015.006.300060.

TWAIN driver scanner HP Scanjet 8350 using a HP Scanjet series version 1.0.10908.12014.

Before the DC Acrobat 14 July 2015 update, the interface between the presets 'Create a PDF file using a scanner' has worked well. The selection 'Entry, sides' would work as selected, 'Front-end' would scan simplex and 'Both Sides' duplex scan. Since the update of July 14, 2015, if the predefined selection is 'Face' or ' the two parties, the output is always frontal (simplex).» This was also the case using the "Custom Scan" selection. The workaround for this inability to use presets for scanning two-sided problem is as follows. You must now use the "Custom Scan" selection. Under "Scan", select "Options." under 'Scanner Options - User Interface', select 'Native Interface of the Scanner Show '. In this window the 'Coast' selection will be irrelevant; However, the balance of the "Output" selection applies. Now select "Scan" in this window. The native scanner TWAIN interface opens now. Front or double-sided scanning / will be now selected as well as the colors, resolution, paper size and scan document of entry (dish or document feeder). Select "Scan" in the window of the native interface. The document will now analyse as selected, simplex or duplex, and the native interface window will close leaving the program open Acrobat DC. The scanned document will be treated more according to the options selected in the ' Custom Scan-output ' window YOU ARE NOW ABLE TO SCAN DUPLEX.

Before update on July 14, 2015, would be sufficient to use the Scanner DC Acrobat presets for this. Now, no matter what the selection 'entry-Sides", the scan will be simplex. I understand that this update included integration of the use of 64-bit drivers TWAIN on a MAC system. This integration affected the Acrobat / scanner TWAIN interfacing? It is not the TWO. The interface has worked flawlessly before the update and now works only through a process of manual handling. I never needed to use the native scanner TWAIN interface for scanning and duplex in the older version of Acrobat Pro DC.

I was buying Acrobat since the 1990s, the upgrade as newer versions release became available, and not what I expect from Adobe, or what should be accepted. Your update of July 14, 2015 has degraded user experience and functionality of the program. Please get this fixed.

    Thank you.

  • Acrobat Pro XI is not detect a scanner

I use Adobe Acrobat Pro XI on the Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 machine.  When I go into file, create PDF from Scanner and choose picture color or Custom Scan it doesn't show any available scanner (scan custom watch "Please select a device") if I choose color Image it gives an error message "the scanner driver is not installed or scanner is not connected."

I try to use the scan engine is a multifunction Ricoh on our network of the company, it's a Ricoh Aficio SP C240 SF.

The problem is weird, because on my old computer running Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro, I had the same printer but do not know the differences in driver, and when I went to the similar scan option to create PDF he registered this printer/scanner option.

Someone at - it suggestions on obtaining Adobe to recognize this printer/scanner?   I can download these drivers for the printer/scanner:

    CIM files

    Network TWAIN

    USB TWAIN / WIA

FaxDDST LAN printer driver (this is what I have currently installed and it looks like that had installed the old computer too)

Well I thought about it (I hope it helps people in the future).  I had to launch the setup from TWAIN for this printer/scanner driver (which should just add this printer driver) because now when I go into create Scan of the PDF document in Acrobat, it lists the scanner

Wasn't able to scan to the computer.  Follow the instructions in the Help Guide.  Under all programs select stock Scanner, double-click on handle scanning to computer and then click Activate.  I don't have those options available in the HP printer folder.

I reinstalled the software and still do not have these options.  The only way I can turn on the scan of the computer is the installation of the printer software.

Thank you, downloaded the software according to your instructions and installed.  I now manage scan computer option in the HP folder.
