stop AV Security Suite infection

Why my Norton Anti Virus did not prevent the AV Security Suite infect my laptop? I managed to do a full computer scan (while it is infected) and it gave the fire, which it clearly was not. This package will actually do the job? Is it possible to stop him coming back?

Hi, geci.  Welcome to MS responses.

As it is stated of mohdrafi, Bleeping Computer has for the rogue AV Security Suite removal instructions:

How to remove AV Security Suite (uninstall Guide)

I'd say the time to clear the system restore is after cleaning your computer.

  • Click Start, type Disk Cleanup in the search box
  • Click Disk Cleanup and select "Run as Administrator" and accept the UAC elevation prompt.
  • Select the drive where Windows is installed (if you have more than one drive), and then click 'OK '.
  • When the analysis is complete, check / uncheck the boxes that you want.
  • Then, please click the Other Options tab at the top.
  • Click on the button "Clean up...". ' under the heading ' System Restore and shadow copies "at the bottom.
  • Click delete in response to the question "Are you sure you want to remove all but the last restore point?", click OK andYes again .
  • The utility disk cleanup will delete the selected items.  When it is finished, restart the computer to properly save the changes on the hard disk.

As to why your current antivirus software did not stop or detect the rogue, each software has definitions and different settings.  Make sure that you have the latest definitions before analysis.

Can someone help me? I have the Windows Security Suite virus on my XP computer. Whenever I start the PC, a program runs telling me I have so many viruses, Trojans etc. and asks me to buy software to get rid of them (I didn't buy it!). I also pop ups in the lower left corner of the bar saying various programs tasks, we stopped loading due to infection by the w32/blaster.worm. I learned that it is the Windows Security Suite Virus. How can I remove this? I try to run various software in normal mode, but the virus blocks to open up. I can't open any programs or crib etc. in normal mode due to the virus of the task. I went into safe mode and ran the programs, but they detect all viruses! I used Malwarebytes for it. How can I remove this virus? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Remove IE plateau and AV Security Suite virus Scanner.

original title: I need help to remove AV Security Suite Scanner viruses and viruses IE plateau.

I have AVG on my computer, but also Malwarebytes.

I have downloaded SpyHunter 4 and found several tracking cookies, but nothing named AV Security Suite. So I removed the H_Keys virus. Some of which that were listed, were not in my pc. However, I was watching a Guild for a XP user. I need help as a Vista user.

I did a scan with Malwarebytes and AVG several times in safe mode with network. I was able to remove AV Security Suite the first time with the help of SpyHunter 4, but he had to analyze my laptop. I don't have the money to buy it. After retiring the first time, everything was fine, so to appear. Windows told me about some start up programs that he blocked. AV Security Suite came back after some time. Three times I counted that he's back.

I looked in my process and do not see running, however I noticed a csrss.exe that I came to the conclusion that he was part of the IE platform virus. I found how to remove by hand, but I get a blue screen, or other wise, that my laptop fell down after trying to put an end to the process in the taskmanger. After that I had AVG and Malwarebytes scan in safe mode without network. Malwarebytes found nothing, and Spyhunter doesn't work, nor does internet explore and Windows Defender is turned off and I get an error after trying to turn it back on.

Please do help me. And if it is a free software to dial a number, I'll be ready call and take a step by step process to help eliminate these viruses.

Get back to me as soon as possible please.

I have Norton and who found no AV Security or the other. But I just solved the problem by restoring my computer. I couldn't do this in normal mode to in SafeMode by using my own newspaper in AV security kept the stop action.

Go to safe mode with network and log on with administrator, and then restore your computer to before that the problem started.

    Worked for me.

  • Impossible to get rid of Security Suite on my PC (read all the other posts)

    Hi guys,.

I also have problems with this security suite. I followed all the guides provided on the site to remove it, but it is always present. It looked as if it had been uninstalled, but returned shortly after the restart. I would rather not reformat my computer because it's a pain so wanted to know if there are other things I could do to remove it. None of the anti-malware programs have worked and I don't really dare to change anything in the registry because I don't know what I'd be looking at and could make things worse.

    Thank you!

  • Safe mode disabled AV security suite

My computer is infected as a result of security AV.  the instructions I found on this site said to re-boot in safe mode to remove the virus using anti-virus software.  In my view, that this av security suite disabled safe mode, so I am not able to detect and remove the virus.  Any suggestions?

    Acer Aspire with Vista

Thank you very much for your help!

Thank you very much for your answer.  However, I found a simple solution.

In my view, that the ransomeware on AV had disabled the safe mode.  Then when I pressed F8 and select Safe Mode option, the computer should boot into normal mode.  However, after you press F8, once again, I have selected to "restore" which has scanned the hard drive, stated he was clean and then it has started in safe mode.  Perhaps without going through the Safe Mode option regularly infected by the Suite AV.  Once in safe mode, I was able to remove the ransomeware with Malwearbytes Anti-Malware.

Thanks for your reply.  I appreciate your response!

  • Recommended Security Suite for Firefox 25. Using Mcafee Security Center 12.8 worm, I was wondering if I should change to Bitdefender or Kaspersky? Any suggestion

Have 2 Win 8 machines, running Firefox 25 and a laptop with Win 7. All three are using Mcafee Security Suite ver 12.8 with Anti Virus 16.8. The subscription runs out in February 2014. I would like to make a change and I'm concerned about compatibility with Firefox worm 25 issues. Are there problems of compatibility with Bitdefender Security of Windows 8? Are there problems of compatibility with Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 or Pure 3.0 Total Security? If I make changes on the security Suites, I'll use the same version on Win 8 and Win 7 machines. All three will use Firefox 25. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We're not supposed to indicate any personal point of view.

    I'm sorry.

  • My Norton security suite and the toolbar Norton will work with the new Firefox?

A previous version of Firefox eliminated my Norton toolbar and I had to reload an older version of Firefox to get it back. I've been reluctant to upgrade to newer versions of Firefox because of this problem. You are now compatible with Norton?

It depends on what version on Norton you have: I have Norton Security Suite (not to be confused with Norton 360). Free Norton Security Suite is available to Comcast customers. Updates following Norton Security seem to be a bit behind Norton 360. Norton said currently their Norton 360 product can be updated using Live Update and the toolbar does not work in Firefox 22, but this does not seem to solve the problem of the toolbar with Norton Security Suite. It is a very frustrating issue that is causing me does not want to update to Firefox.

  • Norton Toolbar does not work with Firefox 17, provided Comcast Norton Security Suite, Win 7.

I have Norton Security Suite provided by Comcast. Norton Toolbar does not work with Firefox 17.0.1 on my Win 7 machine. I lived all the questions on this topic and did all the steps and when I click on "Add-ons", he always says that the toolbar is not compatible. It works with IE, but I prefer to use Firefox.

I had the same problem in the past. If you call customer Norton service toll-free they have always helped me start (without charges) when I have updated to a new version of Firefox - seems to happen every time even if I run the updates regularly. Hope that this phone help-Norton support is always very friendly and helpful-just Google their 800 number.

  • Satellite A100: Reinstalling Symantec Internet Security Suite

    Hello

I tried to renew the subscription on security Internet from Symantec (Norton) after that 3 months free OEM subscription expired on my Toshiba A100 Satellite, but after I paid and everything that I could not subsequently confirmed the renewal and the security suite and the confirmation of the renewal of Symantec told me to uninstall the suite and reinstall.

I managed to uninstall - question is how can I reinstall? I can't find the file of re-installation anywhere. Symantec support they told me to refer to the Toshiba support... How can I do?

    Hello

This is an OEM version which is available for 3 months. As far as I know after 3 months, you have no privileges for updates and you should buy an original version.
By elsewhere all applications of this are part on the image of Toshiba and it s not possible to install only one program.

You must reinstall the entire image.

  • Satellite L550: BIOS settings after upgrade of security suite

I have two of my machines restarted two nights there after an upgrade to my security suite.

Now my office restarted without a hitch and the upgrade went through without incident.
However my L550 rebooted to a screen called "Phoenix SecureCore Tiano Setup" and I notice in the BIOS system Toshiba 1.70.

Now knowing what to do, I ran across the screens that lists the components that were in the machine and after that just after the installation itself.
Now the machine reboot ok and it seems to work more quickly - I have no beef with that, but I would have thought that Toshiba would have warned me that it was about to happen.

I'm a bit experienced user and vaguely knowing what can be done with the BIOS settings and not knowing how to do these were my insides run at a gallop.

What is the go with that?
I now have to Phoenix BIOS instead of Toshiba and it's this kind of thing is going to happen in the future as a warning would be really appreciated by people like me!

    Hello

Support L550 Phoenix BIOS but its modified by Toshiba.
It s nothing unusual each laptop manufacturer to set the BIOS for the purposes of the laptop.
To be honest I n t have any experience with the Phoenix SecureCore Tiano and cannot say anything about the modified BIOS options. However, each BIOS can be set to the default settings.
So in all cases, you are able to load the default options in the BIOS.

I'm not sure what button you press to get the default settings (I guess that F10) but this info is always mentioned at the bottom of the BIOS screen.

    Get rid of PC Cleaner

I'm trying to download Security Suite from my provider and I get a message that I have to get rid of PC Cleaner. I searched my PC and that you do not find PC Cleaner. If I don't know how I'll remove it. Thanks for your help. The only reference to PC Cleaner is the Microsoft Security on the PC.

Go to add/remove programs and see if PC Cleaner is in the list. If so, then click to remove.
Then go into Windows Explorer. Research on Windows/System32 and see fi there is pcsd.dll and delete it.
Then go to regedit and search for any mention of PC Cleaner, PC Cleaner and remove these entries.

Change the settings of the REGISTRY can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the REGISTRY settings configuration can be solved. Changes to these settings are at your own risk.

Then see if you still get an error of PC Cleaner.
