  I have an internet connection 'OK '.  Not flash, but VDSL2 which found its level at 30 MB/s.  The point being that I wouldn't wait for each file to download before I could edit, so I would always be more comfortable to place all the files on my hard drive and then using Bridge.  Dropbox throttle your bandwidth according to what plan do you have?  I only use 2 GB free plan.

  It is interesting that the Pro plan, with 1 TB of storage, costs the same per month than the plan of Photography Photoshop/Lightroom CC.  I am constantly amazed that some people always have a beef about the creative cloud subscription model.  What planet are they on?

  I have 10 iSCSI LUN (all on the same device), each 1.8 size to which I want to introduce ESXi to create data warehouses.  Are there all recommended for how I divide these LUNS to the top, or should I just do a giant data store?  Maybe there are performance factors to consider here?

  If I had to do 10 1.8 data stores to I can see a problem on the road when I need to expand a vmdk but cannot because there is not enough free space on the data store, it would be less of a problem if I had a giant data store at first.

  Performance for inserts using the direct method does not seem to impact to load performance, but updates and regular inserts take somewhat of a sudden when you use compression. Queries that have all significant IO operations seem to benefit the most compression and more the number of I/o operations more than the impact on performance tends to be. Remember that compression takes a CPU hit for compression and compression operations, while this doesn't seem to be really big, that this is a consideration if your system already has problems of CPU resources.

  I found that partitioning and compression used together provides the best performance when using the partition key and partitioning offers benefits for facilities management, scope/level partitioning offers the benefits of a data warehouse management.
