  The photos full size will always go to the cloud. They also remain on (or download) your Mac depends on if 'Download this Mac originals' or 'Optimize Mac storage' is ticked in Photos > Preferences > iCloud. If it is enabled, it also depends on how much storage is available on your Mac.

All I want to do is import a file from my camera and make a DVD from the file that anyone can stick to their DVD player and watch it on TV. When I try to import the creator of the file said DVD the file is either corrupt or is of the wrong type. I did the DVD by other methods which play on my computers okay but a home dvd player can't read the files. Please help and put an end to my misery. This must be a simple process but of course I did hard.

  Are you able to play the AVI with Windows Media Player?

  If you are not able to play the AVI file, you probably need to install the codec/software suitable for your camera.

  block size is to see how large the file size, you have .jpg .doc .xls etc and its size is 2 TB, then you have to select the block of 8 MB for the vmfs data store.

  I believe you can create 2 TB datastore with block 1 MB

  You will need a third party software that will convert and burn the video file. If you want to be able to watch the video at home or auto dvd players you will need a software who authors the file as well. I prefer Ashampoo Burning Studio 10. You can download and get a free trial from the link below. It is an excellent program and well worth the $15.00 you can buy it for after the expiration of the trial period. There may be some restrictions on the trial version but, I'm not there.

  In general, once you write multi-utilisations, you can not edit the file.  If you use a rewritable media, you can delete the file and write again.

  I have a question about backing up my files using dvd - r - dvd + r dl - I used to be able to back up my files once you write information about the disk backup, which includes the number of drive - computer name - date - time-. After completing most of the time to backup their still room left on the disk to add the backup files.

  So every time I have to perform a regular new save new files to the computer would ask the previous disc and then add the new files if had left them enough space on this disk.   Joe, welcome to the forum.

  I suggest looking for a driver or Firmware Update for the drive.  Sometimes the glitches may occur which will cause the type of problem that you are experiencing.  You may have to completely reinstall the training software and driver.  In addition, it seems that the DVD may close at the end of each burn.  This would make the DVD so it will not allow adding more data.

  Here's a guide to the types of CD/DVD that you can use for backups and other uses.  Personally, I've always had the best luck using (+ r) discs.  They seem to be compatible with many brands of discs.
