Storage USB WRT160NL is too slow

I just bought this WRT160NL router to replace an old G 54, I had that malfunctioned and died a few days ago. I bought not thinking about using it as a server NAS/media at all, simply, I discovered this feature while I was put in place, and I was very happy because I have a LED TV compatible DLNA, so I thought I'd give it a try. For the moment I still full haven´t Setup for the media server, I already work with the storage of this part but I am confused to slow it is! I use a 1 TB external HDD with NTFS file system. If I plug my pc this HDD directly to any USB 2.0 port, I get normal speeds for USB 2.0, but if I try to copy/read from the HDD connected to the router instead, I get speeds that most resemble USB 1.1 (somewhere in the 12 ~ 15 Mbit/s range).
Anyone know if this is normal? This router has a USB 1.1 port? (I can't find a datasheet or manual indicating the type of USB port used in this unit). Maybe the NTFS system is supported, but not the best to use with this router?

It is USB 2.0 but the router CPU is not so powerful to support fully as much transfer of data via the USB interface. A NAS works better.

I managed to get the WRT160NL running, but the option of storage link. I connected an external hard drive that displays in the Control Panel, I put the shared full score but I the have not found in the overview of the network.
Through some FAQ I found that I had to make a new network connection, it designated Z:, matched to the \\192.168.1.1\ and click Browse. I think I'm so for unfolding the 192.168.1.1 map and select the 'default' card that I read in another thread somewhere, but he invites me to sign first on the network. And there's the part I'm stuck like some sign that I use, it does not accept me. I don't know I tried all the possible sign ins but they come all up with may not be correct. Unlike the signature in the Panel, I am also to select a specific user or otherwise, the password ok is grayed. What forgets I have here?
I have no problem signing the control panel router and my laptop but I can't seem to connect when I am asked to do this when you set up a new network connection so I simply can't access to this option of storage link this router offers. Anyone to the rescue?

Can I have more information on your mac? The info above, it looks like you have 4 GB of ram. What is your CP?
It look like your computer is slow is because 98% of your PC is used for Hearthstone witch led to a driver failure, and your RAM has a lot to deal with. I would recommend strength leave Hearthstone when they surf the web, etc... Hope this helps, good luck to you.

Help! My Lenovo T60 Thinkpad too slow for life...

So I got my Lenovo T60 for like a year and a half, and until two months ago, it worked well enough (he got the occasional fan at first error message place however) and then all of a sudden he started bluescreening, as it would not go past the Welcome screen. So I installed Windows 7 and it worked fine for 3 weeks, then again bluescreening. So I decided to go back to XP. Establishment lasted 2 days (no, I'm not exaggerating) and since then, it takes 30 minutes just to start. And although I can't do anything on this issue because it is too slow; a simple command such as opening a folder takes 10 minutes! Has it damaged something by installing Windows 7? What can I do to make it normal again? Thanks in advance
Looks like a bad HD for me. You need to check the bad sectors, which can be easily made to initialize with a linux LiveCD/USB and by running disk utility it. It will report on the SMART status of your drive, and I suspect that your HD to be riddled with bad sectors, ergo long boot time and BSOD.

Adobe elements editor 12 suddenly too slow to work after working perfectly for weeks
After having made several highlight videos for recruitment purposes, Adobe elements editor 12 suddenly became too slow to work. Using a MacBook, I get the wheel of death, no matter what I asked it to do, and try to do something with video materials other than to play at normal speed causes the video to freeze in place. Does anyone have an idea what could change so quickly?

I'm strictly a Windows of the elements user. That being said, your problem description... files. mov (id) caught my attention.
What is the file name complete for one of these problem files. I found a name online... (id) .mov - HD.mp4. Do you have anything in your afterlife (id) .mov file name?
What happens if you rename the file
a. If you see now .mov (id), then just remove the (id)
b. If you have now (id), mov - HD.mp4, then simply delete the .mov (id) - HD, leaving just a .mp4 file.
I took 'a' and 'b' in elements of first 12/12.1 on Windows 7 64 bit and it has not made a difference... any both in the program without problem.
I don't know why Mac could be rename some of your files, but would it be the name change process which slows down things. Is there file storage / recording of locations that need to be explored? Is the name of the file to the left of the .mov (id) change also when appears the .mov (id)?

Problem: executeUpdate takes about 0.33 sec. However, getTemporaryClob is very slow, arnd - 1.33 sec
In getTemporaryClob()->
CLOB.createTemporary-> 0.2 s
CLOB.getCharacterOutputStream-> 0.2 s
Writer.Close-> 0.8 s
Alternative:
XMLType.createXML (conn, InputStream) is far too slow.
My approach:

Disk is too slow or overloaded system

Are there audio recorded into your song? If this isn't the case, you can set the 44.1 kHz sampling frequency. The question with regard to your question is: what happens at the bar 9? Try to mute the titles one by one until it clears up the question. A screenshot of your project can also help determine the problem.

Get the overhead of disk too slow on my iMac for LogivX 2010
