  Since coming to iOS X and Sierra when the photos are downloaded from Photos on the cloud, they appear on my phone in pictures as well as my photo app. If I delete my photo app, they disappear from the Photos app as well.   HY, I recently bought a laptop vaio which is preloaded with windows 8 since I am new to windows 8, I'm having a problem with live tile of camera and photo app. I clicked on a few photos of the camera of my laptop and when I removed them from the photo app they were always playing on the live tile of the application but when I open the application there is no picture at all...  I met the same problem even with my windows phone(lumia_525).can someone help me why this is happening as I'm afraid if it's a bug or other type of problem.

  It just need time, the tile updates only on a set timer (to save battery power and performance).

  I think that you can force it to update by going to the start screen, striking to swipe from right (or pointing to the right), then by going to settings > tiles > erase personal information.

  I understand that you have a question about your available space in iCloud. Looks like you are using total 3.4 GB, and maybe not entirely because of the 10 photos that show only stored in iCloud.   I am trying to import photos/videos from my iphone to my Win 7 PC.  I imported the photos from my iphone a few days ago, but not a not erase them the iPhone when I imported.  Now I want to re - import these pictures and delete them, but I can't.  Apparently, the Win 7 photo/video import wizard (and photo gallery of Win) remembers if you have already imported some photos, and if you have, it doesn't let you "import" them later.  He can't even see them - it just says no: "no new pictures or videos on this device" or similar.  Is there a way to disable the photo how the Import Wizard remember already imported photos, so I can just import all the photos that are on the iphone, regardless if they were imported before?

  I've been struggling with this for hours, and it shouldn't be this hard.  I'm a PC user since a long time, but new on Win 7 (I can't find where everything is more) and relatively new to iPhones.  Help?

  First, you must use iTunes to * manage * photos and music * on * your iPhone. You
  can't do what you want to use anything native to Windows 7. Or with Windows Live
  Phot Gallery.
   
  iTunes is actually pretty intuitive when it comes to synchronization of content.

  Open iTunes on your computer, and then connect your device to your computer. In iTunes, select your device. You will see a bar that shows how much storage your iOS content uses, divided by type of content. Roll your mouse over a type of content, as well as other applications, to find more information. If storage is not yet put in correspondence to the top, then back up the phone via iTunes or iCloud, wipe the phone to the factory settings and restore your information. That should erase all ghosts who gets up on the device.

  My free iCloud storage began to look a little tight, as did the storage on my phone, so I paid for storage of 50 GB iCloud and had my phone storage optimization. Now my 50 GB is a little dominated by my 30 + GB of photos. Yes, I'm much too shy the removed button, but this is how I am!

  Looks like you have a lot of photos and videos may be too.  If this is the case, Yes, you are right, you will have to pay for more storage.  Looks like the 200 GB plan will work for you.

  I guess you'll have to manually lower the file full resolution first. I would ' t think that any application would just go and take it automatically from the Cloud. You may need to check if you have not already.

• My MBP with retina display has no top file, but storage information still show a lot of memory being exhausted by audio, photos and movies.

  Recently, my MacBook Pro with retina display has started to run out of memory, so I moved all my downloads and stuff in my external hard drive. After the transfer, I had some good 20 GBs free and my folder all my files to completely empty.

  

  But even now when I go into storage under the about this Mac information, it shows that more 1 GB of audio files, about 800 MB of photos and 500 MB of movies.

  

  Using the search option (and put a black space in the search bar), I discovered a few files in the Mac section, but they were barely a few MBs in size, and no audio or images or movies were present there.

  Where are all these "hidden audio, photographs and films that take about 3 GB of space from my hard drive? I am naïve.

  This view will be incorrect until the Spotlight indexing your drive. In addition, it is only an effort to classify the files types are known by their file extension. Thousands of files on the computer, however, will only be classified as 'Other' because they did not have a type that falls into one of five or six available categories. If you want an accurate display of disk space then: press command-I to open the window read the information. In the top panel is a visualization of the status of your drive: capacity, used and available. It's everything you need to know. • Need tips on backup and storage for photo / audio

  I have an iMac of 2013 end 5 k. I do a lot of photography, treatment with Photoshop and Lightroom.

  However, I also do a lot of audio (for the most part, podcasting), so I need a silence almost workplace.

  When I bought the iMac, I also got a LaCie Little Big Disk. It's a quick series of PCIe SSD 1 TB super set pre-configured in RAID 0 mode, and it is completely silent. Certainly, it is a total overkill for photography work, but I was really happy with him... until he has filled.

  I use a separate 4 TB of HARD drive in an external enclosure from OWC for disk backup internal of my iMac as LaCie hard drive with my photos.

  Now I need more capacity, and I would also like to combine the storage and backup in the same case. Naturally, I am considering a Thunderbay OWC 4. But I'm stuck on which we get.

  A 4 between thunderbay with JBOD 3.5 hard drives probably makes the most sense. I have 3 x 4 TB, HDD, one for storage of photos, one for saving the photo viewer, for Time Machine. And then a 1 TB of HARD drive to back up my iMac (512 GB SSD) drive. Problem is I'm afraid that's not too noisy. Even if I had a quieter fan, I'm worried about the noise made by the readers of spinning.

  Second option is a Thunderbay 4 with 2.5 1 TB SSD in a RAID5 configuration. It would give me 3 TB of storage with protection against failure. With a Noctura fan, it would be nearly silent. But this isn't a true backup and I still need a separate backup drive, which is not the most elegant solution.

  FWIW, I have backup off site with Backblaze. But although that offers protection data, if the entire Thunderbay somehow got fried, it would be nice to have a backup closer at hand than Backblaze. I believe that they will send a disc with recorded data, but not sure about that.

  Any ideas would be appreciated!

  If noise from Thunderbay concerns then just get you a longer cable of love at first sight. I saw them in 10 meter lengths, then you can have the flexibility to put the box in another room or at least a distance of your office.
