store data in external storage with sbRIO 9602

Hi all

Does anyone have experience of sbRIO data storage in an external USB or any other type of storage?

Since there is no USB port on 9602, I am planing to use for serial ports do.

But how?

Thank you.

Zhuoyuan

Hi Zhouyuan,

This wikipedia article on the technical details of SD card is where I got the idea of using the FPGA to speak directly to an SD via SPI.

http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Secure_Digital#Technical_details

Unfortunately, I don't know all the technical details that would be involved to make this work, but it seems possible.

As I said, the SPI interface for SD cards is very low, and develop a functional driver can be difficult.

In the spirit of brainstorming of ideas... You could create a small logging system compatible ethernet on Arduino.  I searched a bit on Google and found the shield which includes the Ethernet and SD card.  Coupled with the Arduino microcontroller, the device could receive the news of the IMU of sbRIO via ethernet on the robot and save the data on the SD card.

Both the aforementioned efforts would work, but are less expensive than adding a dedicated SD card module that includes the necessary firmware in its design.

See you soon,.

  • How can I configure NAS as external storage with TCS?

    Hello

I read Cisco TelePresence Content Server
Version 6.0.x and 6.1 Administration and
    User Guide
August 2014 and I tried to implement NAS with the TCS.

    TCS (windows 2012 R2) - NAS

    Unfortunately, it failed.

    So, I have a question.

    1. How can I implement the same field of TCS and NAS without Windows file services, DNS Server service or Active Directory Domain Service (ADDS)?

-Content server does not support Windows services running as the Active Directory domain
Services (AD DS), DNS server or file services. You must configure an external server for all
Windows-based services. (extracted from the guide)

-The content server and the NAS must be in the same domain. (extracted from the guide)

TC is not supported on R2 Windows 2012, unless you talk about your NAS running on 2012.  The operating systems supported for a TCS are:

    • first and second generation: Windows 2003
    • third generation and virtual: Windows 2008 R2 Standard

If your organization has Active Directory, you must add the CHT and the NAS to your ad, just as you would for any other computer or server.  If your organization does not have AD, so you cannot use external storage without it, at least I've never heard of anyone trying.

  • Store data locally on browser with Muse web app

If I understand correctly, the Muse is compatible HTML5.

Does this mean that all information or data input, i.e. a list of contacts or a collection of records, would be stored locally on the user's browser?

That info will be present if user revisted the site again.

I was hoping to use the command of localStorage objects.

    See the link:

  • USB port - C Dell XPS 13 9350 and external storage

    Hello everyone,

I have a 3.1 USB enclosure external (Vantec Nexstar USB 3.1, model # NST - 270a 31 - BK) that I connect to the USB - C (Thunderbird 3) of my XPS 13 laptop 9350 port.  The player does not start even after using two different 3.1 USB cables.  I installed all the USB drivers and Thunderbird from the Dell Web site and active port in the BIOS, but still have no chance to get the player to run.

That's when I plug the player into a standard USB port with a USB 3.0 cable, boots road to the top and is recognized by the laptop without problem.  So if my diagnosis was made correctly, the USB box and wiring is not defective, so the problem must lie with the USB - C port.  Has anyone successfully used port USB - C to access the external storage with a bit of luck?

In another thread ("XPS 13 9350 - SSD USB C 3.1 - very unstable/not usable '-I can not add links), the following fixed my problem by using a drive HARD USB 3.0 with the Dell USB - C for HDMI/VGA/Ethernet/USB3.1 adapter:

... the adapter USB - C and WiFi are kind of material and power wise. If you go to the options of the advance of the WiFi adapter and change the WiFi output at 75%, this solves a lot of problems with the connection / disconnection of USB - C questions. Exit at 75% reduction does not affect your connection on wireless networks.

My HARD drive kept connect/disconnect when you use the adapter, but this correction took care of her.

  • Data store 'datastore1' is in conflict with a store of data that exists in the data center which has the same URL (.), but is back different physical storage

    Hello

I am new to vCenter Server, so you can assume that I'm missing something obvious.

I installed vCenter Server 5.5 and one of the two hosts of re-usable ESXi 5.0.0 connected correctly. When I try to connect to the second 5.0.0 ESXi host, I get the error message:

Data store 'datastore1' is in conflict with a store of data that exists in the data center which has the same URL (.), but is supported by different physical storage

I Googled it and found what I think are the best answers that are successful, but they all seem pretty unique in their situation (they have a cluster, I do not have) etc. Some solutions involve disconnecting the store of data and reconstruction of things. I would not make things worse and can live without doubt with the help of vSphere client (and not the web client) until maybe I can start again with a 5.5 installation to a new host once I have back up everything from the host unconnectable. I closed all the VM on the host of the second. I have put in maintenance mode. I've renamed the data store, all to nothing does not.

    Thanks in advance

The problem is that a whole army could not be connected to vCenter due to the problem, the solution involving disconnection of the host apply.

Here is how I solved the problem:

1 use the client vSphere client heavy, connect you to the host that cannot not be connected to vCenter Server.

    2. click on the host computer, and then click the Configuration tab.

    3. click on "storage".

    4. find the offending on the right data store.

    5. right click on the data store incriminated and click 'remove '.

    6. click on 'Add storage' in the top right.

    7. follow the steps to find this data not mounted store. I gave him a new name just to be sure, even if it's probably not necessary.

  • There is a problem of storage with the data path [path to hard] store

I have two sites connected by using a VPN connection over a WAN link. In each site, I have an esxi with several VMS host and operation of replication device of vSphere (v 5.1.1.0 Build 1079383) in each site. In each site, these is also a vCenter server with the device of RVS registered and logged with the other site. All the virtual machines are configured to replicate to the other site.

In my initial configuration of the RV (first install) site remote had 2 vNIC used for the management and I figured it was my problem with replication (see kb2040302). So I have changed since my host configuration from the remote site to have that single vnic management (does not solve the problem). I then registered, removed and reinstalled the VR device without change to the problem.

    What is going on:

    1. I am able to configure replication between sites without a problem.

    2. first replication occurs between sites and reports a success.

    3. the remote VM replication to the main site continue to work properly and all is well for the days and continue to work.

    4. the main site of VM replication to the remote site fails on the second and all attempts to reproduce the error. There is a problem of storage with datastore path '[datastorename] '.

    ReplicationError.JPG

I followed the advice of kb2040302 better as I can. But I must confess that I could use some of the more detailed instructions on how and what site should I check the logs. and how to check my configuration management vnic.

I'm looking for someone provide additional troubleshooting steps with good detail.

    Thank you

    Resolution:

The problem was caused by a security setting on the NFS Server data store. VRA could not delete the (hard).

Specifically, my problem was with authorizations on the Synology NAS under the application of the "file Station.

  • Data on external drive USB store

According to the guide configuration (v4.1, p76), you can create a data store on an external usb drive connected to the host.  I have no problem seen VMs see and use USB host drives, but I don't see the USB on the list of storage adapters, configuring the host tab.  (I made sure that the USB is not assigned to a virtual machine).

Y at - there a trick to this?

You cannot use a USB device to store virtual machines - it can only be used as the virtual computer device can attach to and yes I know the documentation is somewhat misleading.

  • Connect an ESX host 4.0 in a store of data VMFS 3.31 with vMotion, and ESX 3.5 hosts

    Hello

    I moved 2 x a new vCenter 4.0 3.5 ESX hosts.  I also have a new ESX 4.0 host.

Can I connect this ESX host 4.0 for the data store using the 2 x ESX 3.5 hosts?  It is a VMFS 3.31 on a CX3-20 SAN data store. I was then going to vMotion virtual machines to the new host and reinstall the old.

I just fear that the new ESX 4.0 host will do something to the data store that make it incompatible with the older ESX 3.5 servers.

    Thanks in advance,

    Euan

Yes, you can connect and use these data with ESX versions warehouses. If you have sVMotion it will work as well. On ESX 3.5 you can only move the guest as a whole on an ESX 4.0 host, you can move the vDisks independently.

It is perhaps unnecessary, but when I update the ESX 3.5 servers 4.0 I unplug the storage until the update is running. Just in case...

  • How to create several data on local storage scsi stores

    Hi all

If you have a host ESX 3.5 local scsi storage with how you create multiple data warehouses. I would like to create 2 data warehouses. One for my virtual machine and one for my ISO. I tried 2 partitions VMFS3 partitioning at the time of the creation of ESX but when I remove the storage to rename it it only allow me to create 1 data store? Is this possible?

Is there a downside to simply create a folder in 1 ISO called data store and empty my iso files it?

I would also like to point out that I have only 1 raid controller

you will need to manually partition the free space of the Service Console using fdisk.

If its only for a store, I wouldn't bother.

Just create a folder like you said yourself, without inconveniences, except that you have to watch out you don't fill your data with the ISOs and other stuff store.

  • Use the case of the Cluster data without DRS storage store?

Can someone tell me please the use case of the Cluster data without DRS storage store?

    Virtually no,.

The only one that is useful is the aggregation of resources of data warehouses in a cluster data store. But it is aggregation of resources in its crudest form. When you create a virtual machine and the use of a cluster as the destination data store, you must always select the data store that will store the virtual machine.

    Storage DRS off =

    No calculation of initial investment

    No space load balancing

    No I/O load balancing

    No rule affinity VMDK

    No maintenance mode

For this purpose a group of data without active DRS storage store is a kind of a data store folder.

  • Advice of external storage for use with ESXi 3.5 (free)

I'm under ESXi 3.5 (free) on a server with internal storage.  I would buy external storage and switch my VM to it.  The virtual machines that I have running on the server are not used very often, so I don't want to put a lot in it.  Can anyone recommend an external SAN/NAS storage device that would work with ESXi 3.5 (free)?  I'm looking for maybe 500 GB - 1 TB connected to the network via Ethernet.

Less than the price of Iomega devices (the ~ $300 model) are sold to a group of work so not really high performance. If you find that this performance was not acceptable, you'd have no way to improve the system.

I would like to use your existing NAS NFS features. If this does not work out, you can always go for something with more umph.

If it is a lab test the Iomega should be fine. If it has an environment that can grow in size requirements and performance over time, you might want to try to build a more powerful Openfiler SAN/NAS.

    First try your existing infrastructure.

  • How to move data from iMac to 3 TB Stor.E Canvio external HARD drive

    Hi guys,.

First post, new to all this.

I bought a Toshiba 3 to Stor.E Canvio external hard drive to get a load of movies and music out of my iMac.

I plugged it in, the iMac seems to recognize, so I tried to drag and drop in the folder on the hard drive, but it leaves nothing.

Can someone give me some advice on how to move things from my iMac to the new hard disk?

Thank you very much, looking forward to hear from you.

    Hello

As far as I know the HARD and the NTFS file format disc media.
If you want to use it in Mac, you must re-formatted the system filesystem HFS + for Mac compatibility.

  • Cannot copy Photos from external storage library

I want to copy my library of Photos of my iMac to an external storage device. I use an SD card to copy the files on as is the storage device external only I with sufficient capacity to store my library (21,86 GB). When I run the copy, all right, but eventually it stops about 21.5 GB (do not remember the exact number). It comes up with the error message "the Finder cannot complete the operation because some data in"Photo library"cannot be read or written. (Error code - 36) ». The library contains a very important image and video files and while I don't have a backup of it on my Time Capsule airport, I added a lot of files since then. One thing I found on other messages of the forum is to repair my library by pressing the command and option that I opened the Photos but I'm afraid that something can go wrong or could not even solve the problem, however if someone thinks he can do the trick I will try it. BTW - the SD card works fine as I tested it on my MacBook Air and it works for other files on my iMac. I also tried using a different SD card but had the same problems. I am running OSX 10.11 version (The El Capitan Public Beta Candidate GM). The reason why I have not yet updated to my computer because I'm worried cause more problems with my library of Photos and, as I said, my only relief is most likely is obsolete. I use an iMac late 2013 and I have had no other problems with my computer, or I do now with the current version, I'm running. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance and wish you a wonderful Christmas.

What format is the SD card?  The photo library can be on a volume formatted Mac OS extended (logged)

and as for backups without a good current backup that you will lose data early as things do lack, including the hardware, software and human - you need a constant backujp as TimeMachine anytime
