  My brother has a Toshiba Satellite Pro A60 - my old laptop. However, it has a strange sound question. I wiped it a few months back, and the sound worked fine. However, after a week or two he suddenly started to sound like the speakers were blown out.

  I made the assumption that stakeholders were indeed blown and connected to external speakers - but they made the same noise! I was wondering, this sounds like a card his fries, or a drivers/software error?

  Then my suggestion:

  Back up the data on the machine, the recover with the recovery CD and then the noise should be gone. If not, and if you still have warranty on this machine, so it would be better to bring the machine to a service partner for a checkup of material.

• Strange sounds coming from Tecra 9000

  I recently a Tecra 9000 it was swell until it began to Crackle. I'm 100% sure that it is not the speakers. The sound seems to come somewhere around the hardrive it self and after the ticking, the system goes to a blue screen similar to the one that you see when it crashes.

  I put t know how old your HARD drive is there but maybe s a beginning of the end!
  A strange rattling appeared on my laptop. After a BSOD, I wasn't able to boot up the laptop and the HARD drive was dead.
  It was a simple disc HARD head crash. Something happens after a long use of HARD drive. My HARD drive was about 6 years old.

  I'm having a strange problem here... I googled this several times already, and I only found the same solution mentioned several times and the given solution * not * work is to me.

  I have a Toshiba Satellite L740 running Windows 7 Home Edition Premium, with a 64-bit Intel Core i5 - 2410M @ 2.30 GHz CPU and 4 GB of physical RAM. My problem is the following...

  There are two different TVs in my house that I regularly connect my laptop via HDMI cable.
  The first is mine, and I can get sound through the TV very well when I plug it in.

  Sometimes, however, I will disconnect the computer from my TV and not get any sound through the laptop because he's trying to output to external speakers to TV.

  More importantly, when I connect my laptop to my * roommate * TV (the same make as mine, you mind), I can not all the sounds of his TV at all.

  This is a recent problem. Until this morning, I was able to get noise from two TV very well and only sometimes had problems with sound through the laptop itself, which has been easily resolved by restarting.

  It's just a hunch, but it's almost like * doesn't realize that there are two different TVs * that it is connected to my computer. Maybe it's stupid, I don't know, but be it, it's frustrating...

  It's a bit strange if you connect the laptop to two identical televisions and use the same HDMI cable to the TV.

  Unfortunately, it all works automatically and I put t know if you can force your laptop to recognize two TVs on the same path.

  In the worst case you have to do it manually in the sound properties > playback devices.
  If it works with four mouse clicks you can change.

  I tested my laptop with two different TVs.
  At home, I have a Toshiba TV and at the office we use Sony. On both automatically get sound on the TV speakers.

• Satellite X 200 - strange sounds, close the cooler

  I have this x 200 for over a year now and for the last 10 days, I hear strange noises near the cooler which is located on the lower side right (the cooler in the cooler of the DVD).

  I don't know how to open this workbook for maybe clean the fan or Exchange it. It looks like a guide to disassemble for this machine.

  Sounds like the fan needs to be replaced.

  Is the system under warranty? I would send it to an ASP for repair. The X 200 is a complicated design and can be difficult/risky to pull out by the owners.

• "Whistling" strange sounds/noises after sleep

  everyone has heard this sound on the Mac? It's a short but quite noisy ' "whistle a few seconds after waking up from his sleep. It happens only once after the awakening of the iMac. • Strange sound problem 1800-314

  A strange sort of wheezing sound is coming from the fan area, I suspect it's something to do with the processor.
  I recently set up a new fan (from the model 1800-914) which improved playback of DVD (no longer ignore), but the overall performance of the laptop are slow at times, especially when its been over 2 hours.
  What, if any, upgrades processor/replacements are available to me?
  How would I ask a new processor?

  It may be that your old Fan has been damaged, but one simple change of another does not solve the problem.
  As far as I know Toshiba a different thermal glue do for different models and processors!

  So, it may be that false thermal scope glue causes failure even because the heat from the processor cannot be moved and the fan runs all the time!
  Also your processor can be damaged in the future!
  Normally only the same processor will work without problem in your 1800-314. Other processors can operate, but need it know for your own!

  First of all sorry for my English...

  I recently purchased a L40 - 17U satellite with vista home premium.

  Everything works fine, but I do not understand one thing...

  When I close the Panel/lid and computer goes to sleep/hibernate play a sound (exactly its system - as when disconecting usb). When I open the lid and computer wakes up and plays a sound too, as connection usb... but it's strange, the sound is without ALL the usb devices connected... There is no USB device connected to one of the three usb ports...

  All the works of devives (if logged in) usb very well before and after putting into hibernation, there is no problem with usb, next to that strange noise... There may be any internal device that is disconnected and connected when hibernate? It is not a RTL8187B wlan card (I found somewhere on the internet information, from a guy who has the same sound in his L40, he took off the wlan card and the noise was still there... but for this, no info on what causes this noise)

  I have in my fujitsu siemens Li2727 Office book, and there is no noise like that when going to Hibernate...

  And my question is:
  Is this normal? You have in your L40 the same? What is this mean sound?

  Hi all owners of HP products.

  I bought laptop Compaq Presario CQ40-106TU 3 weeks ago, until now, when I play music or movies, all 5 ~ 6 minutes I hear a short noise distorted through the headphones or the speakers.

  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the audio driver. I have fully recovered my laptop, but this problem still persists.

• Left speaker to Satellite R630 - 11L produces strange sounds

  I have a R630 - 11L.

  Inconsistently, a sound similar to what you hear on TV when there is no signal (hissshhh) comes out of her. It porduces this her every day, but when it comes it sticks for several hours but on and outside. Restarting does not solve the problem.

  Later I realized that if I cut the speakers, the sound disappears. Apparently, it comes through the left speaker laptop

  It's boring, especially when you want to focus on the work, or when you want to play an audio file, while this sound is active.

  I also noticed that the left side of the laptop is where most of the heat is concentrated and the fan. Not sure if this is related or not.

  My PC Health Monitor says that everything is ok, Tempro shows no updates and actions in the center of the Action. I think that everything is up to date on my machine.

  Please use it for verification of material. This tool also allows speakers check. Please tell us if the same thing will happen again.

  on my tecra M745 connecting to wireless internet (I use the other floor a router) and the connection is excellent 54 Mbps, sometimes a strange noise comes from the laptop, not allways: is there interference with other things (like the dect' phones, cd-drives,...)? • New ENVY 17-j092nr very strange sound/no sound

  I just bought a HP ENVY 17-j092nr 17.3 "laptop with Windows 8, and out of the box, there is a major issue of his. It's hard to explain, so I'll try my best. It is a certain type of sound from speakers but it's extremely studdered and virtually inaudible. the volume controls do raise and lower the volume of the sound. I tried the helmet, and there is no sound at all. It would be like listening to a cell phone call, cut and heard only a split second of sound followed by a half second pause time and again. This is for all of the sound of the video system to the game sounds. I'm not really sure where to start with this and any information would be greatly appreciated.

  Don't bother, I returned this bunch of junk and never looked back. I'm just glad the place I bought has a two week return policy. I don't look at HP again all my computing needs.

• Strange sound behavior... question of Simulator?

  I have an app where I replied the cowbell with their C + c++ demo / .pro files (except my context property is "app") and ImageButtons to call sounds so much like the demo of Bell, I have:

  It will play a sound, but sometimes my file "bark1.wav" sounds deaf/one time sometimes and other times sounds as it should.  Another similar button, I use the "meow.wav" and no sound at all out.  As a last test, I used the "moo.wav" of the demo, and which works better (less muffled survey / playing each time).  So is this my .wav files? (They all work fine on Windows Media Player)  What is the Simulator?  Thoughts?

• Strange sounds of button in Flash

  Hi guys out there.
  
  I have a little problem that I hope someone can solve, I use Flash Basic 8 to create a user interface with the various pieces of information on different scenes.
  I use buttons to navigate between scenes, and I'm assigning sounds WAV to a 'Down' setting buttons so that once it is pressed, it will make a sound!
  I tested a published SWF file and it links to other scenes very well, however, once you press the button it plays or two other sounds in the library, but also the WAV sound assigned!
  
  I checked and re-checked the button images and I don't that's assigned to the 'down' keys one frame. I also checked Actionscript and I see no problem there either!
  
  Can someone help me, or would it be a bug in flash which is the cause!

  Can you be more precise, too... like this button this and that and here is what is supposed to produce, and this is what happens...

  Your file sounds fine to me. You press a button and it makes a sound effect, followed by the effects other graphic elements arrive on the scene. I don't hear anything weird or effects that do not match.
