• Samsung laptop computer with Windows 7 Home Premium. Scrolling touchpad stopped working with Firefox (but still works with Internet Explorer). I tried to 'restore' to several previous dates, but still does not work. Any ideas?

  Do not use this laptop very often. I had done several updates at once (including the Windows updates and the latest edition of Firefox).

  Check if there is a PDF file open in another tab. My Samsung R580 scrolls the PDF (which was open on another tab) instead of the tab that is currently open.

  It's one of the unfortunate problems a new browser because when the programming is new sometimes different add-ons and plug-ins don't work.

  Usually, it takes the add-on designers, a week or in order to achieve a version that works with the new browser, so I hope that you'll just have to wait a little before the add-on again compatiable (able to work with the browser).

  I think that I've recently updated firefox, in any case, I do demand. Only in the last few days, I can do no longer hyperlinks work in mail, word or pdf documents. I have to cut and paste the url. I tried to do the reset in respect of troubleshooting, but it did not work. I tried to adjust the network connection auto detect, but which did not set it.   You have probably installed a 64 bit version of Flash for Firefox plugin.
  
  Firefox is a 332-bit application, so you need 32-bit versions of a plugin to make it work.

  It just started. I start firefox, and it opens with none of the toolbars. The only way I can close it is to go to Task Manager. I can not access any bookmarks or anything else. I tried to open in safe mode starting with the depresed key space. Also tried to accesses using the ALT key. No luck

  It works with internet explorer, but I have no updated bookmarks in memory.

  Make sure that you run not Firefox mode full screen (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: Ctrl + Shift + F).
  
  If you are in full screen view then hover over with the mouse upward to make the bar appear Navigation and tab bar.
  
  You can click the maximize button in the upper right to leave the mode full screen or empty space of a right-click on a toolbar and use "exit full screen" or press F11.

  If the menu bar is hidden, then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key to make the call of menu bar.

  Make sure the toolbars like the toolbar 'Navigation' and the 'personal bar' are visible: "view > toolbars".

  Uninstall the toolbar Ask and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask and Firefox toolbar that prevents the opening of new tabs.

  There are a few places to check for the Ask toolbar:

  You could get the same effect by using a transformation matrix of IE in IE8 and below, (but I would not recommend this). The other possibility is to use a transform of IE9 with the content property property (this property css insert text in the document) that way when you hover over the image that 'extra' text is inserted. But this is not a gradual slide in as the property of transition is needed for this.

  The other alternative is to use slide-in jQuery plugin.

  (I'll cause a disagreement now, then you have been warned!) -

  IE8 is now on a decline in its use for private users, so if you're not targeting companies or professional users, don't worry about this browser too. Also IE introduced an automatic upgrade of the browser in its system of regular updates, (auto updates) users not on XP will have the most recent version of Internet Explorer installed for their system, (currently in Australasia, other regions in the fall of this year).

  XP will be IE8, (using xp down at approximately 2% per month, currently 34 percent of the total, (Microsofts digits not mine)) Vista will be IE9, Windows 7/8 will be IE10, but illegal copies of windows are not these or other updates.
