  I am learning to use iMovie and want to magnify or to stretch the horizontal timeline so it's easier to see more time.  Now, I don't want to change the duration of a clip - just the scale that the video may be brought against - the time line.  Is this possible with iMovie?

  Of course you can do it. Under the Viewer is a slider that allows you to extend the timeline. Also, click settings and you will see a slider to change the size of the clamp.

I think I went through all the possible explanations using Adobe-videos, www and You Tube. etc., but I'm still too stupid, having not yet seized the response.  I am new to this, and it does everything just for me. If I manually drag the vertical red line along the timeline, then individual pictures presents during the masterscreen above, but they have almost disappeared in arriving at the other. If I press play instead, the red line is progressing fairly well, but still the same speed on the timeline, but I need an explanation to slow down or speed up the clouds-photos that I brought to the timeline. Y at - there someone here who can / will cut out in 5 mm plates of steel for me?  PS. This isn't a normal video, it's 190 photographs of clouds taken with my interval-o-meter, just to know 'how' in Premiere Elements

  BTW. I was arrested on my previous effort to get an answer (in Danish): you are not allowed to question here - or something like!  Why?

  The best way is to your slide show in a video output then re-import this video in your project and use Time Stretch to slow down or speed up playback.

  How you do that depends on how you plan to use this slide show. It will be released on a DVD or BluRay disc? Uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo?

• The passage of clips to the timeline?

  Hello, thanks for stopping to read my question.

  I'm having a problem where it is very difficult to move a small clip all the way to the timeline.

  I'm moving the little clip selected in the Red timeline. When I try and move it when its this long zoom, it won't let me. I try and hover over the small clip for the button of the mouse, but I only arrows pop up (the arrows which stretches from clips and clips pads), instead of the mouse.

  (2) this is the same area of work (zoom):

  

  Now, I managed to find the mouse when I fly over the clip and I can freely move the clip. However, recently, when I move the clip of the work are, the work does not move. The clip moves out of the work area. So, I have to move the canvas again and move the clip again and repeat. I tried to fix this by resetting my preferences, however it still is not fixed.

  Please suggest ways more easy I could perform this action. Also, is there a keyboard shortcut for this?

  If I understand correctly you correcly, you are looking for the "["-keyboard shortcut. "].

  If you selected the layer in your composition, your clip will directly pass is starting point for your current image (the timeline cursor position) when hitting "[". "]"

  Obviously, hitting "]" moves the point of arrival to your current image.

  In addition, your activities is adjustable to your current time using 'B' to the beginning and "N" to the end of your activities.

• Force made the timeline?

  I edit sequences of 1080i50 AVCHD video, and since my Mac (mostly) is not very powerful (dual core processor, 5 year and liked), I would be able to make ALL the timeline (not only clips marked in red), so that I can work with rendered images. Is there a way to do this? I currently use a kind of "proxy" videos

  I use OS x 10.10.2 first Elements 9 and Mac mini (late 2009).

  No colored on the content line is also a message in the program telling you that you have the best possible overview. It is associated to bring you to the timeline a file whose properties correspond to the description of the project (project settings) preset. Once you change this video he enters the Red to green sequence where the program says "not the best overview" or "better view".

  But, for what is forced to render for a file without coloured line or green line on its content... what I do is right click on the file, select Time Stretch and put the speed at 99%. Here I'm not after a speed variation, rather just to force the program to recognize a montage without consequence and make the rendering of available calendar.

  The rendering of the chronology is just a preview feature. It does not solve everything. But I discovered that, in some circumstances, this 'forcing the rendered timeline' can significantly improve reading for the rendered file which has been forced to destination and from UN-rendered State Overview.

  I had completed this project in After Effects I want to add something new in it. To move all the layers down and ensure that everything aligns properly would be a project in itself! Is it possible to manipulate the editing view or the layers of stretch more room in a specific place in the timeline? If someone could help me, I would be very happy!

• Clips change of position on the timeline when you use temporal

  First Elements 10, Win 7 x 64,

  I've implemented a timeline that had four video tracks. When I added a fifth track I started to have problems. More specifically, when I put a picture clip or video yet on the fifth time track used on this new addition clip, existing clips on the third and fourth titles changed their position on the timeline in response to stretching the time applied to the clip on the title above. Why does this happen? I think the clips on the lower video tracks to do not move NOT in response to a stretch of time change for a clip on a track that precedes. How can I get to stay put during the handling of the duration of the clips on the slopes above them?

  The other tracks are just "ripple".

  To override the ripple, hold CTRL (Cmd on a Mac key) that you add, remove, or edit clips on the timeline.

  I'm under Flash CS5 on a Macbook Pro, version 10.6.8.

  I'm trying to convert .swf to a .mov to an animation I created. I already tried the 'export' in Flash Basic options, but it exports only the "scene 1" first frame and not the real movieclip (648 images) I created which is placed in the scene 1.» Of after online videos / websites, I've gathered that I need to copy the movieclip on the stage 1 layers and then export that normally. While I can do (select the layer of the timeline of the movieclip, make a right click Copy frames and then paste this layer in scene 1), glued on the stage of the layers are out of the original (movieclip). Is there a quick way to move all layers in the timeline (frames) the scene 1 without losing their location on the stage? It is a fair way to export the movieclip in. MOV directly without messing with the parent stage 1?

  If you stretched it scenario main enough to show all the images in 645 and there not animate, implying that there are more nesting inside that you need to take into account. You'll need transform these MC incorporated into graphics so and stretch out them to full length.

• How to speed up the video in the timeline

  I use Premeiere items 10 and I have a 15-20 minute video segment, I recorded outside.  I want to speed up so that it plays on the fast track somewhere between 2 minutes and 45 seconds.

  How can I do this?  I don't know there is a way but don't know where to start.

  There are two ways.

  (a) with the right button on the clip Time Stretch, and then select your reading speed of the value.

  or

  (b) click the Time Stretch tool (the clock) on the timeline and stretch the clip to slow it down, or drag it shorter to speed it up.

• Cursor of the Timeline with an arrow of left/right with a red diagonal line

  I am trying to edit a timeline in first, but the cursor turns into an arrow left/right with a red line through it.  I've never seen this before slider in CS4 and it prevents me from moving clips in the timeline panel.

  I tried to take a screenshot to show you all, but the cursor is still hidden in the final clip.

• Cut in the timeline panel

  Hi, I had a previous version of PE and has managed to cut a clip in the timeline and stretch or squeeze it with the Timestretch tool. I don't see how this can be done with PE8, as even if you can stretch a full clip, it does not seem to be a cutting tool, in the timeline at least.

  Rather than work around this problem by using the 2 copies of the same clip and edit them separately, someone can he advise to know if I'm missing something here.

  Now, I have not pre 8, therefore the scissors tool was moved, but you can always place the CTI (current time marker) where you want to create a Groove and press Ctrl + K to cut this Clip 'master' in sections. For another cut, simply move the CTI to where you want than to be repeat Ctrl + K. If you make two cuts, you end up with 3 "subclips" on the Timeline and can apply effects (not only of Time Stretch) to, say one in the middle.

  When you use FCPX, I right click on an item in a project to "open in timeline" once it opens in its timeline, the video in the Viewer is black, I see the clip in the timeline itself, it has a sticker on it, but I can't see the video in the Viewer. Don't know what I'm doing wrong.

  Select the event in the library list and the file > delete the generated event. When prompted, remove all.

• Can I hide the timeline on the Apple TV when I stop?

  I am a big fan of documentaries and love take a break and read evidence written on the screen. Unfortunately, the calendar that appears on the Apple TV when you pause has a huge thumbnail that dims the screen (example below). Is there a way to hide this timeline, while it's paused?

  P.S. A solution I found is to pull down the top menu (which causes the timeline to disappear) and after about 15 seconds, the settings menu will hide as well.

  

  But the timeline is hidden even after 5 or 6 seconds or at least it did for me.

• All clips in the timeline are now displayed as a long clip

  It's weird. I opened a project I was working on today, and the timeline was empty. I then added the clip "synchronized" one in order to recreate it. Instead of the clip new gross being added to the now empty timeline, the entire project has reappeared. But all change them points, transitions, etc. disappeared. It renders correctly but, for example, when I got the text at the end in, there is no text, or fade out. Basically nothing. There as if final cut imported the finished exported file, I did yesterday. When I click on the large file in the timeline panel and go to the video properties section it says: location-(several files). But there is nothing to reveal in finder. I also tried to load a backup yesterday with exactly the same result. In the clip basically there is no way to go back and turn effects or change anything as it is rendered completely. Also, I made, and it has not been turned in a compound clip.

  IT seems that you used the opening according to the timeline and under the direction of your whole movie in the container clip of sync.
