Stuck in aloop security properties

I put a shared folder, but when I try to close the properties it maintains security settings every time and does not close. I tried to tie the record, but then just got an error message when trying to close the properties and still not closed. So I have re - shared now and I'm back to where I started. Cannot just get rid of the property settings

Thanks for the reply. I managed to quit smoking by using the Task Manager.

    Hi all

I found answers to my question on "Windows 7 Help Forums" http://www.sevenforums.com/> and a program to recreate and fix all the original Windows 7 hubs and symlink [attributes and security properties (full)], called 'Junction box' [site Web of Documentation: http://iwrconsultancy.co.uk/junctionbox>; and the download Web site: http://sourceforge.net/projects/junctionbox/?source=dlp>].

I also found that there are more original than those listed above junctions.  My advice is to remove all the junctions, you could have recreated manually (or move them to your backup drive) before running "JunctionBox.exe" (using its configuration file "DefaultJunctions.ntj").  Then run it two or three times; because it is not recreate all the original joints the first time you run it.  It recreates the together the legacy of windows (see below), by default (C:\Users\Default), all users (C:\Users\All) and the current user (C:\Users\%UserName%), junctions on the first throw, but not the junctions of temp (C:\Users\Temp) and their targets. - you must re-create the junction target temp manually, yourself, if you want them to run.

Here is MY updated 'Junction Box' 'DefaultJunctions_2.ntj' list of configuration files (list of all the original Windows 7 junctions):

    ; ===(Start of List) =.

; A list of the standard set of junctions in Vista and Windows 7, for the purpose of repair.
    ;
; The notation is as follows:
;  Section headers are userprofile-records unless otherwise noted by a full path.
;  Paths starting with a-specify a full path to the system root. (Usually C:\)
;  Starting paths by are relative to the container profile. (Usually C:\users)
;  Location paths and junction target are compared to [value] section header without qualifier.
; Default profile settings apply to all generic users when profiles are repaired.
; You can add sections for specific users, if it is not normally necessary.
; Wildcard characters or macros other that those listed above are not allowed.
; Junctions will be created using the target-full paths, regardless of the values relative or complete here.
; Note: Non-English speaking users will need to create their own file, sorry.

    [General]

; Displays warning if incompatible OS or system-language is found.
    OSVersions = WIN_VISTA, WIN_7, WIN_2008, WIN_2008R2, WIN_LONGHORN
    OSLanguages = 0409, 0809

; Force the creation of junctions in system or user files, or both.
; = 1 recreates (parts of)-structure of profile folders missing. Relatively safe to use.
; = 2 strength deletes any file, folder or the junction occupying the location target.
; -valuable when it comes to corrupt junctions, but use them carefully because may delete data.
; Default value is to leave alone the existing junctions and add only those missing, but set correct permissions on all.
    SystemForceCreation = 0
    UserForceCreation = 0

; The following sections refer to disk files and necessary for each, junctions as JunctionName = JunctionTarget.

    1. you have access to the files and folders on the Windows partition when you work inside VMWare?

If the security on the files/folders tab will then a user/group account that has the username inside VMware listed list. This could be the reason that the user name is created. Unknown user can be a part of the Vmware software.

However, I suggest that you post your question to the VMware community to see if it is the cause of the unknown account:

  • Folder of My Documents of security properties show 'Total control', but the properties of all the files and the files that it contains are 'read only '.

"Properties > tab security for My Documents and my pictures show that home users of the system, my own account and administrators (I'm also administrator) have full control ' (with all the boxes"Allow".  But the properties of each individual in My Documents and my pictures folder and all files in those, show 'Read only', and all the ticks in the Security tab are grayed out for all users or groups names.

I cannot understand the explanation in the section using the Access command ('Object Types', 'Object name' etc) when I try to change this tab for a file or folder. Help, please!

    Hi Angela,.

Welcome to the Microsoft community forum. Let me help you with your concern.

The security settings for the my document and other folders in the library will have complete control and the tick mark you are talking about will be by default on all Windows 7 computers. Some folders inside of it will be in read-only by default. You can remove by box to uncheck Read-only in the properties of the folder.

  • Why don't I have a unknown user showing in the security properties?

I opened my case users of C drive. It seems that my name of user George. Open the tab Properties , then Security, I find under permission entries the following user information:

    Type: allow

    Name: S-1-5-21-2599003222-447476865-398919086-1001

    Authorization: Full control

    Inherited from:

Apply to: this folder, subfolders and files

I don't know what it is and am suspicious natrurally. I also noticed the search in the Internet that others have this type of entry. It's maybe benign. I have no way of knowing. It makes one think that someone is accessing my computer.

I changed the permission to refuse.

Can someone help me to understand better and inform me whether she needs attention?

There is no need to be suspicious. What you see, is a reference to an account that you have deleted some time ago.

  • You do not have permission to view the security properties of this object, even as an administrator

    Hello

I'm trying to recreate the user profile on my wife, as it is indicated by the Microsoft Support, but have a security problem.  When I try to access a folder I'm denied permission, even as an administrator.
I tried the folder properties-> Security-> advanced and tried to change their owner, who is giving me the error message in the title of the topic.  I also tried the folder-> sharing-> advanced sharing properties and select "Share this folder", but get an access is denied error.
    Can someone help me?
    Kind regards

    Hello

I had already tried your suggestion without success, I saw in another forum somewhere.
However, I managed to solve the problem of windows in SafeMode via msconfig startup.  This gave me access to the file, and security settings showed that it was owned by the deleted user's profile.  I deleted this user of all files and restarted in normal mode and the problem was solved.
    Kind regards

  • Help: Question of security properties - creating templates Pages, want to change not allowed

I have my security implemented properties for how I need them with the exception of creating pages of models. I hope someone could help me with this?

Can open by: Acrobat 7.0 and later versions

    Print: authorized

    Change the Document: unauthorized

    Document Assembly: unauthorized

    Copy content: unauthorized

Copy of content for accessibility: allowed

    Extraction of page: unauthorized

Creation of the template Pages: license (would be like NOT allowed)

I also need to be savable on MAC and PC.

If your document doesn't have any template pages and you don't have any code that deals with the models, this isn't a problem. Drive can not deal with models, unless the right has been granted by LiveCycle Reader Extensions.

  • Error in jDev 11.3 creating secure properties

    Hello
I tried to create a connection and the additional properties of the wizard page "Add secured property", when I click on finish, I get an error saying popup

"Unable to get the store of credentials using jps-config file 'C:/Mywork/MYproject/META-INF/jps-config.xml'.

There is no problem when I add a simple property.

I tried to delete the temporary files, I even went and reinstalled jDev 11.3 again.

Anyone faced this problem? Help, please.

    Kind regards

It seems that there is a problem by creating a temporary file in the temporary directory C:/Documents and Settings/.../localSettings/Temp/. According to the error message, the problem is at position 32 of the path. Unfortunately the full path is not displayed in the error message to be more specific.

Try to change the temporary path to something simple and small (e.g. c:\temp in Windows), re - start JDeveloper and try again.

I hope you guys can help.

    THAT IS TO SAY 11

I did add something new to my pc.  It started randomly happening...

What I've noticed, is my computer will be stronger, as it is to wrap upward and the CPU goes crazy.

After that research around these things, I noticed happen when this noise starts and the CPU going nuts:

-Under Internet Security my settings changed on their own to custom

(I then change them back only to have this all happen again minutes later)

-When this is happening and I'm going under dllhost.exe Task Manager suddenly over 15 years * 32 Com alternatives pop up all at the same time

I do stop by changing my Internet Security properties to default and putting an end to the tree of processes all the dllhost.exe * 32 Com substitutes.

Then, about 5 or 10 minutes later it happens again. This has happened in recent days.  I ran safely scan and it found some VirToolWin32 - CeeInject.gen! KK (linked in Adobe Updater). This VirTool:MSIL/injector.BF has been removed but all that I mentioned above is still ongoing.

I have apprecitate your answer. Thank you

It arrived today.  I checked the updates as soon as I logged in and it was so maybe that fixed the issue.

Update definition for Microsoft Security Essentials - KB2310138 (definition of 1.187.1412.0)

I'll keep the links you posted and use them to check everything. I am running the Microsoft Safety Scanner again now, I ran it yesterday and he did not find anything.

Another weird thing, all my update history disappeared. It says updated, ever. Now it only shows the update one alone that I did when I opened a session today.

  • asghost.exe uses 50% of CPU / ProtectTools getting stuck / on 8710w / Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

    Hello world.

I've been struggling with this problem for two days - google searched everything I could, the forum & relocated basically all once or twice, including the entire operating system...

So here goes the description, I hope that someone - including the people (!) official HP - can help out me...

    1.

As soon as I get home from Windows (such as Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit mentionted), asghost.exe process starts with about 50% of the CPU and does not stop... unless I kill the process (as an administrator)

    2.

Also when I run upward my HP ProtectTools Security Manager (the most recent version 4.10.10.3), it stuck at "Loading security providers"... once again, I have to kill the process. It is impossible to run the Security Manager.

This all started when I installed the 64 bit version of Windows 7 (my extra RAM needed), before I had the 32-bit and nothing of the sort was bad...

So I guess that (as in this thread) that it is linked with the 64 bit version of Windows 7 Ultimate... and it may start happening to a lot of people...

It's my work, laptop and I've exhausted all my free time to solve this problem, now I'm starting to really need to work , so...

DOES ANYONE HAVE A SOLUTION FOR THIS?

Also, I have to admit that I don't know I have install the software of safety (from here) in the right order...

Is it perhaps an 'ORDER' (not provided by HP)?

    ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!

    Thanks in advance to all

First of all, we need to uninstall some programs from your system. To do this, you will need to have the installer of HP ProtectTools Security Manager Suite here4.10.10.3. Unzip it with WinRaror 7-Zip (free) .

    Go to the paths:

    • ...\sp44868\PTAC\AC620X64 - active client and file to run AC620x64.exe it. Select remove/uninstall.
    • ...\sp44868\PTCRM - credential Manager and run setup.exe file here. Select remove/uninstall.
    • ...\sp44868\PTFPDRV\x64 - fingerprint driver and run the file AT8Min.exe it. Select remove/uninstall.
    • ...\sp44868\PTFVE\x64 - drive Encryption and file to run HpClient64.exe it. Select remove/uninstall.
    • ...\sp44868\PTJSC - Java Card and file to run PTJSC.exe it. Select remove/uninstall.
    • ...\sp44868\PTHST\Disk1 - HP ProtectTools Manager and run pthst.exe file there. Select remove/uninstall.

    Install the latest version:

HP ProtectTools Manager here (ver. 4.10.17.1)

    Note:

If you wish, you can extract this file and choose what you want to install. Of course the first thing you'll need to install is always PTHST.

This is how I solved the same problem on my model 8510w with Windows 7 32 bit. I hope this will solve your problem too.

  • For the parameter file security trouble

    Experts of Vista,

I just finished rebuilding my system Vista. Vista works much better; antivirus, updates and applications have been installed. Finally, I copied the files and folders to application data to an external hard drive Segate my documents to the user. Everything seemed fine until it tried to open a FLA from Flash.  I get a "you don't have permission to open this file" message.  The same thing happens when I try to open a file ASPX from Visual Studio.  A large number of files have this problem.  I found a work around problem opening as administrator applications.

To investigate the origin of the problem, I opened file to a problem file properties and you click the Security tab.  That's what I found:

There are three user or group names: SYSTEM, administrators, & unknown account.
The three names of users or groups have control over filling.

I guess that the solution to my problem is to add a new username with my user name and delete the unknown account username.  I tried a solution that was posted in this forum, by modifying the security properties of the Document folder, but the changes did not through for alll the files/folders in the parent folder.

My questions are, 1.) is my assumption correct and 2.) If yes how can I do without mucking things up?  I would appreciate any tips, advice and you can provide wisdom. GrandpaB

You should be able to do it from the Documents folder (you don't really want to change all files and folder individually - and we don't know yet who will work until you've tried on a couple of files that have the problem).  When you have done so, have you checked the box to ensure that these changes apply to all subfolders and files - if nnt, is why it did not work.  You will need to click Advanced, and then make the changes in the special permissions section (including adding yourself in its own right).  You can also take possession of everything in the Documents folder.  Together, this should solve the problem.

Here is some information that might help you in this task.

To view your permissions, right-click on the file/folder, click Properties, and check the Security tab.  Check the permissions you have by clicking on your user name (or group of users).  Here are the types of permissions, you may have:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/What-are-permissions.  You must be an administrator or owner to change the permissions (and sometimes, being an administrator or even an owner is not sufficient - there are ways to block access (even if a smart administrator knows these ways and can move them - but usually should not because they did not have access, usually for a very good reason).)  Here's how to change the permissions of folder under Vista:http://www.online-tech-tips.com/windows-vista/set-file-folder-permissions-vista/. To add take and the issuance of right of permissions and ownership in the right click menu (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article:http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/05/21/take-and-grant-full-control-permissions-and-ownership-in-windows-7-or-vista-right-click-menu/.

To solve this problem with folders, folders takeownership or the reader (as an administrator) and give you all the rights.  Right-click on the folder/drive, click Properties, click the Security tab and click on advanced and then click the owner tab.  Click on edit, and then click the name of the person you want to give to the property (you may need to add if it is not there--or maybe yourself). If you want that it applies to subfolders and files in this folder/drive, then check the box to replace the owner of subcontainers and objects, and click OK.  Back and now there is a new owner for files and folders/player who can change the required permissions.  Here is more information on the ownership of a file or a folder:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/67717-take-ownership-file.html. To add take ownership in the menu of the right click (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article:http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/add-take-ownership-to-explorer-right-click-menu-in-vista/.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!
