Stuck in auto repair

Missions on the Web site, many users seem to have the same problem, but have not seen a response that resolves completely.

When switch on laptop ACER will repair auto and scan drive c, and then blue screen below shows with:

error try again

Press F8 to go to start settings

Press ESC for UEFI firmware setting

When select F8 sometimes, it will however a loop on the right and returns to the highest. On some occasions comes up with a screen with a number of options, including selecting Safe Mode 4.  When select is not safe mode, but reboots back in auto repair and loop back as above.

Have a USB key with the installation of origin, but when it connects to the laptop and start upward does not recognize.

Can you advise how to go in safe mode in order to restore to an earlier point (preferable) or allow accessible USB from beginning to the top so can put laptop back to factory settings. In response, please consider who are unable to enter other commands at the moment all other screens.

    Hello

The message looks like the laptop will not boot the disc.

The question is: is this a problem with the new recovery disks, or perhaps with Notepad

To be honest, I think his recovery disk problem, and maybe you will need contact the drive vendor to replace the recovery media.

    But before that, try this:
    Switch on and press F2.
Now you should be able to access the BIOS. Set the CD/DVD device in the first starting position here. Also, to clear the safe boot option from the UEFI CSM.
Now to boot from the recovery disc.

    Hi again,

  • HP Envy m6-k010dx: update Windows 10, recently received message OS not found, stuck in auto repair

Recently updated to Windows 10 8.1 and everything was fine, but then I started affected by Frost (windows stopped responding and the mouse and keyboard and I couldn't get to the Manager of the tasks accordingly) sometimes the gel would solve itself, but more often than not a closed hard must be carried out. Fast forward to today, and my computer froze 5 + at a time or two hours, then I close it and let it sit for a few hours, because I had to leave in any case. When I turned it on back but can't find OS message not shown on the screen and the computer turns off. I turned it on the message before auto repair, who showed up for a minute or two and then goes to a black screen and stays there, no options provided (I've ever seen the screen which offers the possibility to fix computer or solve the problems I found among other positions) and this has been the case all day no matter how I try to start it. A further experimentation I managed to get Hardware Diagnostics UEFI test using F2 (checking the battery, check processor, check for the wireless module, check the system board and the SMART hard disk check were in seconds, as soon as he started on short Hard Drive DST check that I received the result of the FAILURE and the test fails also) the results displayed as follows:

    ID 90F439-6MP7RE-XD7WXG-60QJ03 failure

    Product IF: E0L01UA #ABA

    Hard drive 1

Do I have to replace the hard drive? Of course if this isn't the case any other ideas would be appreciated particularly with regard to the possible explanations about what could have caused this since I have not had any problems with the computer before the upgrade and no damage had never place and best way to proceed.

Update: before posting this I turned on the computer and received the HP normal logo displayed during startup, after waiting a few minutes however the dreaded blue screen appears and displays the message saying:

your PC must be rebooted, it will restart for you in a few moments...

Then below this additional information concerns the following text is displayed:

    SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

and then of course the computer shuts down. The computer was then turned and saw the preparation of auto repair as before (I had never received this precondition of message blue screen). So even once any idea would be appreciated, I think I've covered most of the details, but if anything else would be helpful let me know.

@SabrinaRM: sorry to say this, but the drive test result means that your drive is defective or has already failed - and needs to be replaced. This means that no recovery, automatic or not, will work as the recovery information are damaged on the drive.

Once you have a new drive, you must restore your PC - but that is a problem.

Normally, I advise to use HP recovery media to restore your PC to its original state, but, unfortunately, there is only no recovery media HP not related to HP for your PC Product Page.  You can try to contact the HP customer directly, using the links below, to see if you can order them if:

If you live in the United States or the Canada, details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

If you live elsewhere, contact details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

If HP no longer provides a recovery media for your model, a few other sites, you can check are: http://www.computersurgeons.com/Default.aspx and http://www.restoredisks.com/

    Good luck

  • HP Pavilion g4-2235dx Notebook PC stuck on auto repair for a month now... Please help...

so my laptop HP Pavilion g4-2235dx product number: C3Q50UA has been slain in automatic mode of repair for like a month now... it goes not far than this screen... the day it happened first I booted up & it real quickly flashed a blue screen that says my computer needs to reboot so itll restart itself for me then it rebooted & went to the screen hp for 10-15 minutes , then went to the automatic preparation of repair screen for about 2 hours, then the screen comes to have dark & remained like that all night... the next day I turned off the laptop & started again & it would be on the screen hp for a long time & id farm & turn on again, then he would start, restart itself then go to auto repair. If I stop it on the page of sutomatic repair then it would be just cranking up the hp screen & nothing else but if id shut down on the hp screen & turn it back on go to repair automatic page... back & suite back & rear returns & suite for days... Finally once a week or so, I gave up... i left on the page of auto repair for about 2 days directly plugged in so he would die just in case he might just need more time but 2 days was too long so I finally unplugged it & left on this page until the battery is dead & haven't touched since... Ive read some of the other posts on the loop of auto repair & what to do, but I don't want to lose all my stuff on the laptop as my images/videos(thought i saved them to skydrive but apparently i didn't complete the whole process to access my stuff from another windows 8 device)... I bought the used laptop & the warranty has already expired... any installation of windows 8 flash disk/drive. I have no recovery disk. so I have no way to replace my OS or recover my data that are already on this laptop... is there something I can do to get out of this dealie loop of auto repair without an installation/recovery disk/flash drive?

You'll need a Windows 8 rescue flashdisk, HP usb recovery media or disk recovery in order to access the safe mode and the Startup Repair. The cost of a recovery of HP USB is not that much to around $ 30.00 USD. You can also ask a friend or relative whose computer has the same BONE to make a recovery of Windows 8 key for you.

If you want to recover data from the hard disk before performing any repairs more, then you will need to remove the hard drive. You have the choice to start the installation in a usb enclosure, using a usb cable to power\sata or install temporarily to with a sata available on a desktop at home.

  • Windows stuck on "auto repair loop."

    Hi Gareth,

The ntoskrnl.exe file is a basic operating system file. If it is damaged or missing, you get this error.

What is the brand and model of your computer?

I suggest you to scan a drive for controlling the Windows recovery environment (WinRE) and check if it helps.

Abbreviation for "check disk" CHKDSK is a system tool in Windows. He checks the integrity of a volume file system and correct the logical file system errors.

Follow the steps below to run chkdsk WinRE analysis

    1. To start your computer, wait for the logo of the manufacturer to check the option of start menu, it will usually F12.
    2. The start menu key can be different with each manufacturer. If you are unable to find the start menu button, you can consult the user manual.
    3. Restart the computer, when you see the logo of the manufacturer, continue to press the Boot option menu key to enter the boot menu and change the option to boot in DVD ROM.
    4. After you start your computer by using Windows 8 DVD, a black screen appears with the gray text "press any key to boot from CD or DVD". Press a button on any.
    5. Select the type of keyboard and good time.
    6. Click on repair your computer in the lower left corner.
    7. Click Troubleshooting, advanced option, and then click command prompt
      Type the following command
chkdsk /f /r and press enter on the keyboard

Important: Running chkdsk on the drive if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data may be lost

If the issue still persist after scan try to re - build BCD

Follow the steps below to re - build BCD

    1. Go to the command prompt of the WinRE by steps above following and type commands below
    2. Type the following commands and press ENTER after each command line:
      Bootrec /fixmbr
      Bootrec /fixboot
      Bootrec /scanos
      Bootrec /rebuildbcd

Restart the computer and check the issue.

Check the system for corruption files by running sfc/scannow in an elevated command prompt.

    Hello

Unfortunately, I woke up this morning to my Y410P stuck with the Lenovo logo and text saying "prepare auto repair. After a few moments, it will say "Diagnose your PC" and then "repair disk errors. It could take more than an hour to finish. "Edit: then after a few seconds, it restarts and everything happens again.

As you can imagine I am very satisfied with this and I have no idea what may have caused it. I am currently studying in Belgium so no help here I can get will be greatly appreciated.

  • Stuck on the Lenovo Lenovo Ideapad start icon, then gets stuck on the repair auto and trys to repair but failing

I recently got a Lenovo Ideapad laptop computer of game for my birthday just to find that there a hard drive problem, now, recently, he crashed and will not start, simply stuck on the logo of Lenovo starting with the loading icon, but don't start trying system restore brings to this problem and it will also be occansionally trying to fix automatically just for blackscreen and crashed about five minutes after. I don't have a Windows disc because it was before the installation with a program so I don't think that I would need a.

    Hi Timmsey,

-You are able to boot to the desktop?

The issue may be caused if you have changed the hardware and software of the computer settings.

Disconnect all external devices (printers, scanner, USB (universal serial bus) drives, etc.) except the keyboard and mouse and then start.

If this solves the problem, then add back devices at a time until you discover the piece of hardware causing the issue. Then download software updated driver for the device.

You need a Windows 8 install disc to follow the troubleshooting procedures below. I suggest you connect to any other computer, and create a floppy disk to install Windows 8. Using this disk, you can perform the following troubleshooting methods. You can create the form of installation disk the steps here.

How to create the installation media for a PC refresh or reset:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media

It is another way to boot the PC and launch recovery tools when something goes wrong with the operating system.

Please follow the steps below. Insert the DVD to install Windows 8 on DVD-ROM and restart your computer.

    (a) once you start your computer by using the Windows DVD or the system repair disc, a black screen is displayed with the gray text "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD". Press a button on any.

    (d) select Troubleshooting to Choose an option screen.

    (e) click Advanced options in the form of resolution of the problems.

    (f) click Auto repair screen Options Advanced .

    (g) then choose the operating system by clicking on its button.

    (h) Windows 8 will then look for problems on the hard drives and verify that all required files are intact.

Method 2: Run the restoration of the system of the Advanced Options screen.

System Restore to restore your computer to a previous state, quickly and easily without losing any of your files and personal settings. Sometimes when you install programs or drivers, they can affect some system settings and prevent other programs to function properly. You can use system restore to restore these settings to their previous state

    Follow these steps:

    (a) once you start your computer by using the Windows DVD or the system repair disc, a black screen is displayed with the gray text "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD". Press a button on any.

The real problem is really the mode of auto repair. What happened is that when I did a windows update it ended to give me a bluescreen during loging screen when I start the computer. After 3 restart put me in auto repair infinit loop and since then I can't get out, not even will lauch and im safe mode don't really know what to do.

There is no problem of harware, I run the ePSA to confirm this. but the main reason is that it is the second time this has happened to me. the first time windows upated this month he did the samething, but I would get blue screen after login. How to solve this problem the first time, is that I restore my system to a certain date, when I didn't have this problem. After this, I turn off the windows upadte until I get more information one why its done 2 days ago, it is accidentally turn on by my antivirus or maybe accidentally by me.

Now it is stuck on this infinite loop for auto repair and I can't do a system files because it must be done in safe mode, or need to disable launch beginning of antivirus (not exacly how his writings sound penultimate option aloong SafeMode in windows 8.1)

What I have to do is stop mode auto repair, so that I can operate either in safe mode or disable the antivirus at the beginning so that I can restore my computer to a day where it was working fine. The computer has access to the command prompt, so any code that can disable or ask the system that he has never mistake might help.

There is a file that I really need to recover from this computer and also need to use this machine. Any help is appreciated

    Thank you
