  I know I want to get the premium Production CS6 from B & H, but just recently that I realized that my class of media production could possibly make me eligible for a discount for students. I have a few questions about get a student discount I've ever gotten before.

  My first question is: should I still pay the rest of the full price? Or, more important still, the student version will stop working after a period of time?

  My second and more important question is about installing on more than 1 PC. I am currently on my beast of a laptop. The iMac to my school with short CS6 smooth like butter, and it's spec lower than my laptop. Despite this, I plan to get a PC in the future office of Monster for my productions and I'm confused about my rights to installation with a copy of the student. I understand very well that I can't install it on the computer of another of Kathy; only on my own computer. He mentions (for teacher I guess) you will need to purchase additional licenses for installation on other computers. This means that when I buy a new computer, I need to buy a new license as well? Or I can use the one provided in the box?

  Your license does not expire and you never have to pay the price difference. You can install the suite on one type of computer, even if you have 2 activations. A series of PC does not work on Mac and vice versa. Only 2 PC installs will work or 2 Mac ones, respectively. The activations can be managed for in applications or by giving the customer a call to reset, if you their exhausted and forgot to turn it off.

• Creative cloud Student Discount question?

  I was very interested in buying Creative cloud with the discount student for 19.99 per month for 1 year (Promotion), that I'm in College.  I called and asked a few question to get more in depth into the conversation.

  (1) what happens after the first year of 19.99?  Answer: It goes up to 29.99 per month; Although this price may change (UP or DOWN)

  (2) what happens if I graduate College after that I have already subscribed to the 19.99 and I want to renew my membership creative cloud?  Answer: Since you are no longer in school, you're price is subject to the full price of 49.99.

  I was disappointed in Adobe After that I heard this and did not understand why I was in College when I buy Adobe Creative Cloud but now that I'm out, I'm eligible for the prices of school?  If I bought CS6 Master collection, I pay about 1 000 (one time payment).

  I'd offer creative Cloud for 19.99 per month for 1 year and after this promotion, it will go to 29.99 per month; Although, if I have the degree, only is more eligible for the student discount, which it expected to continue since you started the College during except if you cancel!

  Adobe, which came with the price of 49.99 and why the habit you allow those who subscribed during College time who got their degree to continue to get the student discount?  Unless you are an expert and it's a job, not many people can afford to pay the extreme price of 49.99 because we have loans school, books, etc. to repay.

  I agree with you 99% like you are "TECHNICALLY" not a student more.  I guess my point is, why do we pay a subscription when I can buy the 'Adobe Master Collection', i.e. a 1 cool weather.  Of course, we will not get any new updates and/or software, but you will not be taken for all you're worth.

  Paid 49.99, you will reach your student discount if bought "Adobe Master Collection" prices in less then two years.  Imagine 100's of thousands of members pay for this.  Adobe me has turned into a draft (like Apple)...  Apple has me amazing range of products, but they expect that it is a value of 1,500 more then to other computers out there.

  People like me (non-professional) and I just want to know how to use Dreamweaver, Photoshop, etc to create a website just the purchase of the "Master Collection"; Although the creative cloud would be fantastic if it was still priced at 29.99 after the first year of 19.99 and always able to get discounts from the school after you graduate.

  I live in Indianapolis and only 5 school are listed in my city. But it is very difficult to use this rebate if your school is not listed.

  I'm a 15 year old Finnish student in the case where someone needs to know.

  I will be the 9th year (last year in Finnish primary school system) and start at the vocational school in August. That would make me eligible to receive the student discount.

  The thing is I want to use photoshop in the summer. I plan to purchase the bundle of photography, but it says in terms of membership of the student that it is no longer available for the first time buyer.

  However, when I used the 'Live chat' thing they told me that I could always buy the student membership even if I had used the composition of the photograph before.

  So is it really possible or not? I'm confused...

  As long as you are considered to be a student, you can get a discount for students.  The first release of the year could be more NACO, but you still get a substantial discount in the years of follow-up compared to the full price no educational people subscribe to.

  I had XP on an old computer and I have a program that only works on XP.  Now I have a mac and my old drive was what came with this computer and it does it not install on my mac.  Is it possible to buy XP for the student discount price?  As if I buy windows 7, I would then be able to get the XP somehow?  I'm so confused!

  You will need to purchase a full commercial copy (not an upgrade) of XP to use on the Mac. Amazon still sells them, but not at a discount. Microsoft offers a discount for students, but they no longer sell XP. Be very careful about where you buy XP; a very cheap too-good-to-be-true 'deal' on eBay or Craigslist will probably not good for you. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!
