Studio XPS 1645 wireless problem

Hello!

My problem is already a bit inconvenient. I tried all possible ways to solve it, maybe you can help me.

I have a Dell laptop Studio XPS 1645, which contains Dell 1397 wlan mini card, manufactured by Broadcom. It has a few problems with the network connection. It doesn't connect at all, or it is, but very slow. I mean, I have internet 30mbps here, that I can use with the cable, but with the radio, it can reach only 20mbps. I tried many other networks, all of the same problems. I have Windows 7 64 bit os.

I tried all the drivers, hopefully, you can find me one that fits.

Thank you

gretzky999,

Which may vary with antenna how son your system and you home network.

I used the Intel 5100 and had good results. The Intel 5300 should also have good results. Both work on 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz

If you don't like the cards, the mini map low-profile WLAN Dell Wireless 1520 (11agn) works on 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz.

The Dell Wireless 1501 Wireless-N WLAN Half-Mini card works on 2.4 GHz ONLY, but uses the double flow, giving the speed N Wireless.

Some cards use a 2-wire and some use 3-wire. It also depends on your operating system due to the location of the drivers and adapters are have no drivers for some operating systems.

I have the dell studio xps 1645 with windows 7 home premium 64-bit installed on. I have a problem since I format the laptop and reinstalled windows 7 and driver.

The problem is that with the IDT sound card driver. When I start up the laptop, I couldn't find any noise until then I install the IDT audio driver which is from the website of dell (dell.com.au) under the drivers of dell studio xps 1645 by download. Sounds appears when I installed this driver, but it is not as it should. I mean whenever I do reboot or turn off and then on the laptop, the sound will not come up to what I do reinstall the driver again. The thing is that I have to reinstall the driver whenever I want to use the laptop. can you help me out of this problem? is there any solution for this? . Thank you.

    Hi Felix,.

Thanks for posting your question on the Forums of community of Microsoft.

I understand that the sound of your system plays only after you update the audio drivers. The question could arise due to the installation of the corrupt or incompatible driver package.

Before troubleshooting, I would like to inform you that the drivers for the model of your system on the Dell Web site are displayed for Windows Vista, by default. So, I recommend you to change the operating system to Windows 7 while choosing for pilots.

In addition, I would suggest trying the following methods and check if the problem persists.

    Method 1:

Try running the fixit for audio playback of Windows problems and check if it helps.

Diagnose and solve the problems of Windows audio playback automatically

If the problem persists, try the following method.

    Method 2:

If you have installed Windows 7 drivers from the website and have not properly been able to play the audio, then I suggest you to install the Windows Vista drivers from Dell site in compatibility mode and check for the issue.

    1. Download the Windows Vista driver on the Dell website.
    2. Right-click on the downloaded driver file.
    3. ClickProperties , and then select the compatibility tab.
    4. Check enable the option run this program in compatibility mode for: , then select Windows Vista from the drop down.
    5. Click OK and install the driver.

  • DELL Studio XPS 1645 Windows XP Audio drivers

    Hello guys,.

I desperately need drivers for my DELL Studio XPS 1645 Windows XP Pro SP3 compatibility

I know that 32 bit OS does not work well with my processor and RAM, so do not mention please, I use this for the programming of the car.

Tried ABSOLUTELY everything imaginable I stumbled upon Web sites after searching, but didn't help at all :(

No sound from speakers, no sound in the headphones, nothing...

    Guys, H E L P :(

Dell gets from the provider, IDT HD drivers. I don't know exactly how the procurement process, but I guess that when Dell order equipment for a specific system, drivers for operating systems that Dell intends to support are included in the order. If it's something like this then of course a manager can later allow the expense of having a driver written for an operating system that is not supported on a discontinued model.

The operating system of this forum section has a driver request thread. Someone there might know of an alternative audio driver which might work on your system.

One solution is to get an adapter usb audio.

I don't know what "join" - it's something to do with virtual XP?

  • Studio XPS 7100 display problems

Hello to all out there. I have a Studio XPS 7100 minitour, and I had a devil of a time to connect this PC to my TV 32 '' to the House. When I got the computer, I've upgraded to a graphics card for games and the card has the usual video output ports: DVI, HDMI and VGA. When I connect to the TV with VGA, it works, but it is a bit choppy. When I connect with the DVI, DVI to HDMI cable, it works, but I can not set the resolution of the screen. When I connect using a direct HDMI cable, there is NO of SIGNAL on the TV. Am I missing something here? Perhaps I missed a driver? Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Harish R,.

Of course, the drivers! Why didn't think of this. Update / install the necessary drivers, and now, I look at my beautiful display on my TV.

Thanks for the quick response / solution.

  • Studio XPS 1645 and 64-bit Windows 8 - missing pilots 'Base system device '.

I just bought a XPS1645 without disc and have successfully installed Win8.1. All right, outside of...

    1. Device Manager shows two Base who are "trained" - system devices could someone suggest what items can be and what drivers are needed?

    2. the volume and the DVD eject buttons don't. (The wireless button certainly.) Suggestions?

    Thank you very much.

VEN_1180 is Ricoh and Ricoh in this system is the card reader. The driver that I mentioned:

    http://ftp.Dell.com/Chipset/R234107.exe

should these base system device drivers. If the installation does not remove these then manually update the driver for the two devices by pointing to C:\Dell\Drivers see here for more details:

    http://philipyip.WordPress.com/unofficial-driver-sets/checking-hardware-IDs-in-the-device-manager/driver-installation-via-the-Device-Manager/

Bluetooth that I believe was optional, so you won't have a bluetooth card. If you are sure that you have one, try typing Fn and F2 a few times to see if you can enable/disable Bluetooth radio and outside, you can leave the Device Manager maximized when doing this to see if there is no change. It needs display in Device Manager before installing the drivers.

If this fails, you may need to go to the BIOS Setup and disable it, then load Windows and turn off then repeat the process, but allowing it. To enter the BIOS F2 Setup press immediately when you feed the machine.

The Bluetooth card is the Dell Wireless 370 and a Broadcom device. Of Broadcom Bluetooth update should install the appropriate drivers for it.

  • "Tinny" sound from internal speakers Dell XPS 1645

I got my Dell XPS 1645 for about 4-5 years so maybe it's just a problem of wear.

I am running Chrome and watch a stream on twitch.tv August 23 to about 75% volume level when there was a sharp fall in terms of audio quality; now everything seems thin / no bass/distortion plus silent.

Audio performance was great before this event and always beautiful with headphones (this is the internal speakers which are reached).

To clarify, the sound is muffled or spindly; It is not a noise or interference and the volume settings have not been changed as to cause this effect to my knowledge.

I tried all the solutions I could find but I would like to know if there is something I don't understand!

I uninstalled the IDT drivers and reinstalled from the dell site and other sites, I tried to use the default Microsoft drivers.

I ran the Diagnostics Dell PC Checkup trials; speakers pass.

I've disabled the improvements and messed around with properties of speaker without result.

Speakers can still go to 100% flight (of course, this sounds horrible). Also, I have never historically played audio at levels like that nor I had problems with the audio in the past.

I blew my speakers? Is there a loose connection? More important is there anything I can try or do? I prefer not having to pay massive amounts of replacements because it will mean probably deserting me a ship from Dell for good and get a nice update!

Hello. The Studio XPS 1645 model had a "subwoofer". He has probably stopped working on your device. If you want to replace or are looking for a loose connection, you can get the service manual with instructions for the page documents Studio 1645, and the play itself is going for $5-10 on ebay.

  • Studio XPS 17: six beeps on post - no start

    Hello

My machine is a Studio XPS 1645 17. It is almost exactly 3 years and worked without problem.

Now, it does not start. When I press the power button turns on the backlight for the keyboard and the soft keys all sequentially flash on as usual during the post. The fan runs. However, the disk hard is not launch and the screen stays off. After a few seconds I get six beeps, and then the computer seems to be waiting for a while, trying to turn up the HD, and then I get another 6 beeps. This cycle repeats. He's never even a flicker of the screen. I tried to connect an external monitor to the HDMI but, perhaps not surprisingly, it did not show anything either - just sitting there with no input signal.

I know it's not nice to go here, but

-What do the six beeps mean?

-A the screen or the backlight has failed or is a more fundamental problem?

-The machine can be repaired? Or should I it's bin and replace.

As far as I know, I have a bios reasonably aware. The machine runs on Win 7 64 bit, although I don't think it's material.

    Thanks for your suggestions.

    Tim

  • External port eSATA Studio XPS 9100 does not

    Hi all

I have a Dell Studio XPS 9100and external eSATA port does not work or it is not detected. I have a Seagate FreeAgent external drive and it can't detected, and it is NOT power up when I plug it into the eSATA port. The FreeAgent drive works fine as it is detected on my laptop Dell Studio XPS 1645eSATA port. The drive is detected on the 9100 when I use the USB cable to the drive (plugged into a USB port, of course).

I tried to do some research online and some suggestions were to activate via the BIOS eSATA port, but the eSATA port is enabled in the BIOS. The wrong driver is installed on the device? I see the Intel ICH10 Family 6 Port SATA AHCI Controller-3 has 22 in the Device Manager. Is this the right driver to recognize the external eSATA port or is there something else wrong with the 9100?

Does anyone think that the external eSATA port requires an external drive with its own power supply? The 9100 is a 2010 model year environment, but I think it should not require a player with an external power supply.

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Hi all

I grabbed an eSATA disk that has its own power supply (AC adapter) and trendy source on eSATA back port and he recognized the car.

It seems that the Dell Studio XPS 9100 has of an old eSATA port requiring a drive eSATA that she is clean in order to be energy source active on its external eSATA port. If you try to use a disk without its own power supply eSATA it won't work because the former eSATA ports enabling the way as the USB ports and the new USB ports hybrid eSATA . My laptop Dell Studio XPS 1645 a hybrid one of these ports so apparently it is why my Seagate FreeAgent working on it and NOT on the 9100 desktop. You can't plug a USB cable in the 9100 eSATA port certainly isn't a hybrid eSATA port.

I guess I solved my own question.

  • Studio XPS 8100 - (Best Buy Version) bought end of 2010 4 GB DDR3 Ram problems 1333Ghz

    Greetings,

I bought a Studio XPS 8100 in late 2010 at a Best Buy store. It came with 4 cylinders of 2GB 1066Ghz (each cylinder), adding up to a total of 8GB spread on 4Slots, all of a sudden one of the slot (Slot 2 to be precise) Ram began to fail, so computer would beep to reveal no ram or sometimes ram write failure etc. So, to avoid problems with this slot (Slot 2), I got rid of all four locations of 2 GB and wanted to replace them with the following ram: "(Kingston HyperX FURY 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 CL9 DIMM quantité = 2 d'ajouter jusqu'à 8Go en Kit) ', but my computer is beeping not revealing no ram detected." Now, according to the Studio XPS manual, the configuration can be either Ghz 1066 or 1333 Ghz as long ram DDR3 of Ram.

I would like to know why my new 8 GB kit (2x4gb 1333 Ghz) does not work with my computer Studio XPS 8100? RAM is correctly inserted on the slot 1 and 3 (I even tried different slot combinations).

It would be a great help if you guys can let me know what DDR3 1333 Ghz Ram is compatible with my Studio XPS 8100.

    Thank you!

I contact Kingston technical support and get their help.

I think the chipset on the studio XPS 8100 is H57.

H57 is not listed as a compatible chipset on the webpage the HyperX fury.

    http://www.Kingston.com/us/HyperX/memory/fury

Could it be the timing or Sub timings and memory density or...

Kingston has maybe a different kit that will work and they can exchange.

  • Studio XPS 435 t / 9000 power supply problem

My diet giving me in my Studio XPS 435 t/9000. The fan is very noisy, but otherwise there is no obvious symptoms. Since the system is about 5 years, I was planning to change some parts.

    My questions are:

    (1) what could be the cause of the fan to be strong, and what are the potential problems with that?

    (2) a system of 435MT 475W PSU would be compatible, or would I need specifically a 435 t?

The first thing I would do is keep the Office of your garage. Open the side cover. Use compressed air can and blow all the dust that has accumulated in the tower. Blowing from the rear of the PSU and the inside of it. Replace the cover and retest for the noise of the PSU. The power supply 360w on Studio XPS 435MT will not work. The only Dell validated PSU for the Studio XPS 435 t / 9000 has been F217J 475w. The best video cards, we validated our eating 475w were:
    2XTG4 AMD Radeon HD5870
    5X2CH Nvidia GeForce GTX260

You might consider installing a power supply of higher power, but with a single card video, you need something bigger then a 650w. You could then spend the video card for sale retail Nvidia GTX660.
