• Importing Word documents in CS5 - matter of paragraph Style

  Hi, we import Word documents in a model of CS5, removing the Word styles brings (spend a paragraph text or body base) but the text is coming in black 100% when we have defined in InDesign that 80% and then we find that paragraph Styles will not apply properly. Does anyone else have this problem? I tried it get around by copy - paste, but it still does, especially if I copy and paste into a table.

  Check the window paragraph styles to see if you have local substitutes on the text (click in and see if the name of the style has a + next to him).   I use RoboHelp HTML 7.02.001.
  I created a new project for importing Word documents (Word 2003 SP2) in.
  There are nearly 100 records, all pretty small with defined Index entries. (These were broken on 9 training manuals)
  
  A before posting, I was advised that the output should be WebHelp, because users will have access to it through the corporate Intranet.
  Project settings has Index > add new keywords to > Index File (Perfect). And binary Index is checked, but I don't think it's necessary.
  
  I am importing several Word documents in a folder of the project at a time.
  Opens the screen of the wizard: import Word Document Conversion Options and the following items are checked.
  Preserve the title styles
  Convert the Table of contents
  Convert Index
  Add new keywords for the file Index (Perfect)
  Then, I chose to create only 1 sheet of Style Master who is subsequently changed.
  
  The Word Document Wizard: Split on Style window screen opens and all controls are deleted, because this step is already completed.
  
  My problem: The index is empty after importation.
  
  How can I fix this without having to change each HTML page?

  Hello, I have problems with a member of the team to import Word documents. Recently, she had RoboHelp installed on his computer and tried to create his first project. When it tries to import a Word document it receives an error message, 'the Word Document Import Wizard cannot locate a supported Microsoft Word version. Please install Microsoft Word 2000 or XP. "We have Microsoft Word 2003. We are in a real bind because it takes the place of another Member of the team and we have her top and runs it immediately.   Deleted documents generally go to the trash, unless you used a deletion method that permanently deletes so without going through the trash.  Have you looked in the trash?  If it is there, you can right-click on it and select "Restore" and it should return to the location and the State in which it was when you removed it.

• Programs and icons links open Word document instead of the programs themselves.

  1. click on the Windows "Start" on the lower left corner of your screen

  2. Type "regedit".

  3. click on the "regedit" search results

  4. click on 'Yes' to make changes

  5. navigate to:

  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\

  Logiciels\

  Microsoft\

  Windows\

  CurrentVersion\

  Explorer\

  FileExts\.

  lnk

  6 remove the other keys except 'OpenWithProgids '.

  7 sign out and then sign back in

  Which should return all your links back to normal! :)

• Table Style - create and apply

  Is there a way through the HR user interface to create and maintain a table Style (class), and then apply it to any table that I create? I prefer not to manually change the CSS, create a class and then apply it in the code (even if it is possible in HR).

  Certainly not up to and including RH6. I don't think it can be done in RH7 either based on a recent post but have not yet checked.

• Copy and paste into a Word document loses its format (chips, colored tex, etc.) where Firefox is open. When I close Firefox it's fine again. I'm not talking about copying and pasting text between MS Word and Firefox. It is in MS Word itself.

• RoboHelp 2015 won't let me import a Word document

  People,

  I just install Robohelp 2015 (version 12.0.0.306).

  When I try to import a Word file to create a new project, it fails, and I see the message:

  "The import Word Document Wizard cannot locate a supported Microsoft Word version. Please install Microsoft Word 2000 or newer. »

  But I use Word 2016.

  What is a known compatibility issue?

• How can I "simulate" a style sheet applied to a web page?

  I used to know, but do not need to do this in a while. Could someone remind me how to tell dreamweaver to apply a style sheet to a Web page in Dreamweaver without actually linking to it? Especially useful when designing PHP includes are no < head > tags, but will be later associated with files that do. Until they are combined, they are isolated from the folder root that links to the CSS of the file and look like shit.

  I know there is a way to tell dreamweaver "just show my what the page would look like if the style sheet was applied to this" without actually adding the link to the code, but I forgot what it's called, Googling it turned to nothing else than false positives.

• I want to OPEN, view and change a Word document. What should I do? It does not open?

  I want to open, view, and then EDIT a Word Document that someone sent me. I have Vista (2008), what I should download to do the above. Did I miss a software or something?

  You need a software that can open, view, and edit Word documents.  Vista does not include these software.

  I suggest that you go to www.openoffice.org and download the OpenOffice Suite and install it.  It contains programs that are very similar to those that come with Microsoft Office (including Word or as we call it in OpenOffice, Writer).  This will open Word documents and allow you to work with them.  It has several other programs as well, and many people prefer this on Microsoft Office (although it does not include a program to duplicate Outlook which is a shame).  Best of all, OpenOffice Suite is FREE!  This will immediately the problem free of charge and you can then decide if you want to buy Microsoft Word or Microsoft Office (they offer free trials, so you can check out them without any risk).

  I have a client that provides an application to different companies and brands its product by changing the look, using a style sheet selected depending on the brand.

  Is there a way to customize a WebHelp layout, to select a style sheet and a skin 's brand, and another sheet of style and skin for the brand Band so on?

  Would this work in RH7? (The client uses this for the moment.)

  Would this work in RH8? (They could improve if this solves the problem.)

• two questions about Style sheets

  With the help of RH7, two questions about styles:
  
  1. I have an older project which seems to act weird. I want to update the styles in our current one important, but seems not to accept it. I can import the file very well, but it doesn't 'take' the formatting (e.g. headers, 'Normal' text, etc.).
  
  It is important without any errors, and in the list of the topic the new style sheet shows like the style associated with this topic, but I can't find a way to apply new formats. I even tried closing and reopening of HR to see if it was some sort of refresh problem.
  
  Any thoughts? Is this a problem of corruption?
  
  2. it seems some of previous authors allowed HR to create of new style sheets for each topic as it has been imported into our system of assistance (from the original Word documents).
  
  Is there an easy way to globally remove these style sheets and their replacement by a new? My instinct is to:
  
  1 import the new style.
  2. Select all subjects in the list of topics, right-click to open the properties, and select apply the new style.
  3. use Project Manager tab to remove all the other styles.
  
  Sounds easy enough, but my concern is to know if HR will apply these changes to the subjects. In addition to my problem in #1 that I met occasionally issues where HR does not seem to apply styles or style changes accurately.

  Note that Styles and Style sheets have an order of priority or hierarchy.

  You can have all the styles declared in a referenced external style sheet and everything is fine. But if the document has styles using the same names, those who will prevail.

  For example, maybe your file CSS says that all title 1 text will make in dark blue to 24 point Arial font. The subject could have statement Heading 1 incorporated, which specifies that the text should be Brown in Verdana 12 point. Even if the subject is properly referencing the external CSS file, the text will be rendered Brown because the embedded style rule will override the CSS rule.

  And what will replace it is if someone text selected and applied the style directly. In this case, you're dealing with a style online.

  One way to help determine if you are dealing with a style incorporated is to simply remove any link to the CSS file? The text seems always the same? If so, you probably deal with a built-in style, or online.

  To check a style incorporated, look at your HTML code for the topic. Search in the region of the head for a (including the tags).
