  I bought a Sony KDL-46EX720 a year ago to the Portugal. I remember viewing a movie hollow files usb port and it worked fine, except for the subtitles that had a strange police which made impossible subtitles to read (I remember, we had the opportunity to choose among 4 fonts but they were all the same). Since then, I stopped watching movies tray usb and used other methods (connection via hdmi on the pc). Today I have the Tv connected to the internet (ethernet port) for the first time and did the updates (successfully, update version: PKG4.017EUA - 0104). I tried to watch a movie with subtitles (.srt format both .sub, same name as the video file) and I could just find the option to turn on the subtitles. I tried 4 color buttons and the button subtitle, with return error: function not available for the current mode (translated from Portuguese). I looked in all the menus and I have not found that everything about the subtitles/configuration section. I searched the Sony site, etc., and I can simply find an answer... How can I activate/config the subtitles to work with my movie from the usb port files? Thank you

  Subtitles (.srt) .ts and .m2ts video file formats are not supported by USB playback. Therefore, unable to display subtitles. This is a normal operation.

  Hi all

  This is my first post.  I searched for an answer but can't find anything that matched my problem.  I have a few spry validation boxes on my page, and all but one will not work correctly.  The one in question is spryselect1 ("spryEquipLoc").  For some reason any (which I can't understand) this field will display the selectRequiredState even after a selection has been made.  Thanks in advance for any help.  Here is the code (sorry, that I couldn't see how to format the code in the post):

• Captivate 5 gel problem trying to add subtitles to the video

  Hi there-

  I try to add subtitles to a video (.f4v) I inserted as "Video Slide" on a slide in a presentation of Adobe® Captivate® 5.  I click on the video to select, go to the properties panel, select 'Edit video synchronization' and then click on the Panel of captioning to try to add captions and then Captivate completely freezes and crashes so not only can I not to add captions to video, but I have to use the Windows Task Manager close.

  I've seen this process shows a tutorial from Lynda.com, and the instructor doesn't seem to have this problem with Captivate 5.

  Any thoughts?  Other users have found a work around at all?  I mean, I know I could audio from the video, then attach it to the slide and make the captioning in this way, but it would be much easier (and much more logical) to add it directly to video, especially since that's what you are supposed to be able to do.

  I use Captivate 5 on Windows 7.  I also have Captivate 5 on a personal Macintosh and you have not yet tried to see if the problem occurs on this platform, as well.  Has anyone experience this problem?  Sorry for the length - this is my first forum of validation, so I'll try to provide as much information as possible.

  You can try to add the subtitles to the video after the removal of the preferences.

  Follow these steps to remove preferences

  1. close Captivate so momentum already

  2. go to C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Adobe

  3. find a folder named "Captivate 5.

  4 delete the folder

  5. now launch Captivate and try your workflow

  I'm dinking autour in Captivate v6.x (upgrade from v5.x soon) and published a training vid on YouTube with captioning in the Captivate file. For any reason closed captioning does not appear, nor I see the default skin - with permit CC - appearing on YouTube as well.

  I suspect that I don't have the appropriate default values activated but I tried several times to set what I thought were good, but not to chance it.

  I would like some advice, here. DRM for your suggestions and help!

  Videos (.mp4 files) published since Adobe Captivate does not support closed captioning. You need to add separately closed captioning in youtube. YouTube offers an easy way to include subtitles to videos.

  Captions inserted into the Captivate slides are published in the SWF output.

• Problem with Blu Ray DVD in Encore without Menus or subtitles

  Hey guys.  I have successfully converted my video and audio for my blu ray project, and I have an English subtitle track, and three menu pages.

  When I saw the project in Encore, the menus and subtitles appear perfectly.

  However, when I export the project to a folder of Blu Ray or Blu Ray picture (I don't have a Blu Ray burner) and play the movie from there, only the audio and the video are there.  There is no options to change the subtitles, and no menu is displayed, even if I put the first piece to be the main menu and not the timeline.

  Can someone help me with this please?  Thank you.

  It is upto the Player how he handles the navigation for the Blu - ray controls. Try using TMT or player software PowerDVD from Cyberlink.

• Netflix on Apple TV - PROBLEM

  All internet connections are beautiful and all devices will work perfectly, except Netflix.

  Since April 27, 2016, the service is unstable and gives me a lot of headaches. The TI guys when there to check, and there is no problem at all. Netflix works 100% on my smart TV. iTunes works 100% on both Apple TV I have at home. YouTube works 100% on the two Apple TV. But Netflix, seems to be a joke on the last two days. Subtitles disappear, the transmission stops suddenly, black startup screen rather episode... all sorts of problems.

  Works fine on my system. Have you tried to force quit? Reinstall the application?

• Can I use Cyrillic subtitles on my TOSHIBA L323950 TV movies USB?

  It seems that the TV does not support subtitles in any language Cyrillic or maybe there is something that I do everything.
  When I play a movie from USB-flash, there are also subtitles in. SRT format.
  The video is OK, but the subtitles (in Bulgarian language) seem like some strange symbols.

  I'm trying to save the SRT file with UNICODE encoding, but in this case the TV freezes as soon as I start the videofile. I also try to UTF-8 encoding - in this case, the empty file plays well, but no subtitles are detected at all.

  So my question is: this model takes into Cyrillic SRT sub title during playback of movies USB?
  If so, why can I not see them.

  I have the same problem on my Toshiba TV. Cyrillic subtitles cannot be displayed correctly. The same as symbols?,?, or can not be displayed correctly.

  So far I have t found no solution to this. Reading a few other forums other people described the same problem for the Spanish language (a e i o u).
  Firmware is the latest version, but the problem is still there.

  By the way: can you please test this method and I would like to know if it works for you.
