  Yes, it's probably a difference in screen size.

  Yours has a 14.1 "screen and the 6710 b has a 15.4" display, but have the same courage.

  If you click on the link to revision of the bios I posted and then on the left side of the page, click Download drivers and software, you will see that you are on the 6510 b support page.

  If for some reason you need to update the bios, you must do this on XP or Vista. Those are that the only operating systems supported for flashing the BIOS.

• Minitour dc5100 - installation nvidia geforce 6200 PCI - problem

  I have an old HP Compaq DC5100 minitour, and I wanted to put in a graphics card instead of using the onboard gfx

  as windows kept alert me that I was running on system resources, and video memory.
  
  So after hunting around the net for a PCI card (PCI-e not that I do not have a slot on the motherboard for it)

  which are very few and far between, but I managed to find a Nvidia Geforce 6200 256 MB PCI card: Nvidia Geforce 6200
  That I jumped into one of the PCI free slots on the motherboard and has pulled up the PC... after a second fans
  closed and the PC started her off 4 short beeps (with a red light flashing in time with the beeps located under)

  the power button on the front of the pc), then stopped for a few seconds and then repeat the 4 short beeps.
  and then continued to do this until I turned off the machine.
  
  So I took then the video card back and put it in the second PCI slot, but the same thing happens again.

  Now, I had to take the graphics card and just plugged my monitor on the port of gfx on board.

  Does anyone know why this graphics card stop the pc to start?

  Or is there something I need to do to get it working?

  Good news!

  After taking all the USB devices on my machine and try again once I had no joy as it is the same with the 4 beeps and the PC shut down.

  So I headed upwards in my attic and after opening 3 old PC I got lucky and found an another PSU ATX which had the same dimensions and was a high-end with maximum capacity of 640 watts, so I it inverted and put the graphics card back in and connected USB devices , and then press the power button...... ..  .  This time there was no beep and the computer =)
  
  This is certainly the graphics card needed more energy than the 300 Watt who was originally in the machine.

• Recovery disk works does not after replacing hard drive Pavilion dv7

  Hello. I have problems of replacement of a failed hard drive in my HP Pavilion dv7-6154nr notebook running Windows 7. New HARD drive seems to install OK, but I get a Windows Boot Manager error when I try to run the recovery disks created when the system was purchased. The message says "the boot selection failed because a required device is not accessible" "status: Oxc000000f. I changed the boot order in the BIOS to boot from the internal DVD player but continue to make the same mistake

  More info: I upgraded the HARD drive from a Toshiba MK6476GSX - 640 GB - 5400 RPM for a WD Black 7500BPKTSP.  I don't see any info in the new HARD drive in system information / BIOS so I don't know if it is recognized. However, it take and pass a diagnostic test.

  If you have a problem to find drivers (such as the wireless, unless you already knew what the wireless adapter model you have in the PC, you will not know which driver to install).

  Just after the hardware ID's for all you can't find the drivers.  Who need device drivers appears in the Manager for devices with a little yellow. brand and labelled with material generic terms such as a network Contoller or PCI device, etc.

  Black screen after that I connect. I can see the mouse cursor yadayada.

  The interesting thing is if I let the computer sit there long enough, say maybe an hour. It brightens suddenly.

  Also nice that I can get the Task Manager and right-click to place file open on something else, and then I can browse the WIndows update and other elements of the plusent even control panel find things on google chrome.

  But that didn't helped me to solve this problem.

  I tried to delete the fntcache.dat file in windows/system32

  I tried to remove / uninstall the display driver (even if he likes to put right back immediately if I'm not sure if it worked correctly.

  I tried to uninstall from the list of bad updates that they think that the cause.

  When I got it I did a refresh of the system and he went.

  But now I "ve been using it a bit." I WON'T do it again. I won't be forced to reinstall ALL my software every time I start my computer.

  Here is the official ACER drivers, but if your Radeon is an add-on, the best place is the site of AMD.

  There is no special measures that:

  1) check on programs and features if your display drivers are listed and uninstall

  (2) go to the Device Manager, click view the adatpers, right-click on your Radeon and select Uninstall

  Then reboot and see if the black screen issue is resolved, then reinstall the AMD VGA drivers.

  I understand that your wireless network was working but now it says not available and shows not all networks.

  Have you ran the Windows troubleshooting tool?

  If you check device manager is there any errors on the network map?

  HP Notebook PCs - performing a Hard Reset or forced Reset.  Please be sure to disconnect all external devices and remove any disc from the optical drive.

  First of all, I should mention that my computer works well. However, in the Event Viewer I see several warnings for:

  Event 37, kernel-processor-Power

  The messages that I receive is:

  The speed of the processor (0-7) in group 0 is restricted by the system firmware. The processor has been in this state of reduced performance (usually 3-5) seconds since the last report.

  Whenever there are 8 of the same event, at the same time, one per processor.

  I was wondering what could be the cause. I think that this could happen while my pc is in standby mode when it is and I do not use it.

  Is it a "problem"? The temperature always seems to be cool. And flipping through the event log, I see that it happened almost since I bought the computer (nine).

  The BIOS and disc label will report the full capacity of the drive. When formatted the Partition information, file allocation table and area labels all take part more of space.

  Windows then reports the storage space available remaining after formatting. My 240GB SSD a 223GB is actually the same reduction as yours.

  In the factory settings bracelet pins 2 & 4

  1 you need strapping pins 3 and 4
  2. turn on the unit
  3 close
  4. remove the jumper to pins 3 & 4

  5. replace pins 2 & 4
  6. turn on the unit and your password is deleted.
