  It worked for me.   After a frustrating week suddenly not be able to copy and paste everything it needed, it was a single use of the another CTRL key for the problem completely clear for both keys CTRL.    Go figure... but it worked!  Thanks... good 1st try because it is so simple.

  Change options - Undo, redo, copy, paste, paste without formatting work, is that they are shaded out in the Edit menu and do not work on the right click of the mouse. I disabled add ons, run in safe mode, go out and restarted but the problem persists. Can anyone help urgent please.

  Mine are greyed out until they can do something. So they're all gray until I have started typing, pasting is grayed if there is nothing on the Clipboard and copy / cut are gray until I have select something.

• When Safari presents the image copy/paste in Facebook status like Chrome can do?

  In me weening off the hungry Chrome resource dependent on the native Safari. So far, the only things that I lack of Chrome are Mode of presentation and the ability to copy and paste images from Clipboard into Facebook statuses. Find a picture you like online, simply right click and copy, then paste into your Facebook status where it will download to your message. Hope Safari introduces these improvements of the cool workflow in a future update.

  While I can click on 'copy' on an image online, when I go to 'stick' on an email in the email Windows, the name of 'paste' is not highlighted.  Therefore, I can't paste any image in an email.  Any help would be appreciated.

• Work with sizes of image/copy / paste

  I have two jpeg files open in photoshop cs4, one is 72 dpi, zoom 8 inches wide by 6 inches high to 16.67%. The other is about 60 inches wide by 45 inches high, 72 dpi, zoom 100%. I want to take an item (a person) out of the picture 8 x 6 and paste it into the 60 x 45, but when I do it is super small, more small I want. I tried to play with the zoom and the resolution, but it is impossible to get two different image sizes to match the size. Such a thing can be done and if so, how can I do? Thanks in advance

  You might want to try Edit - Transform on the person after you paste it on the big picture as a new layer, but keep in mind go with much fewer pixels your person maybe not sharp when oversampled in the context of the larger, higher resolution image.

  A good way to get your head on how this works is to ignore the inches and ppi and instead focus on the absolute counts in pixels.  Set your leaders to read in pixels if that helps.  In your example, your little JPEG has only 572 x 432 pixels, while your biggest has 4320 x 3240 pixel.

  All Menu Edit, other than 'Clear' is grey - cannot copy and paste anything. Also cannot move the objects with the direct Selection tool. Reset preferences and still have the same problem. Ideas?

  You happen to have installed Iobit Advanced System Care (or just their Smart Ram program)...

  If you do, make sure you have "Own Clipboard" UNCHECKED under the Smart Ram settings.   Had the same thing happen to me and had even made a "repair installation" of Windows until I came across this one...   As you clear everything except Microsoft services & programs, the computer worked find until I have reactivated my programs...  Then, lost copy & paste it again...  So again, the 1 re-activated both (with a re - start eventually) disabled until all of a sudden I lost copy & paste it again...   The program was Advanced System Care...   When I searched on their website, I found other people had the same problem & the solution was to uncheck own Clipboard...   Copy & paste works well since...

  I you don't have this program (or Smart Ram), I suggest you do what I did to help out...  Turn off everything that is not Microsoft, then reactivate 1 both with a re-boot each time...  I hope that you will be able to isolate the program that gives you problems and change a program setting will fix it.

• Impossible for Typekit to work with localhost (in addition, another weird issue with copy + paste)

  I looked through the other posts already and I * think * I tried all the solutions, but I still can't get on my machine typekit fonts.

  I try to use the font "speaker-std".  In the editor of 'kit', in the 'Kit-kit settings > settings' tab I name "localhost" (without quotes) and the right areas '127.0.0.1' (without quotes).

  Then (AFTER saving the settings on this tab), I'll be back in edge animate, I start a new font by clicking that + sign next to "fonts" in the "Library" tab  I put list "police rescue" to "'speaker-std', sans-serif" (w / quotes, without quotes), then back to the browser open and move the 'embed' code, copy the two lines of javascript, back onboard, animate, and... nothing.  It doesn't let me change ANY text in this area more after that window loses focus.  I have to press 'Cancel' and then try again.  So this time, I just type in the speaker-std... blah blah, as well as the last time, but paste into the code successfully because he was already in the Clipboard and I didn't need to lose focus of the window.  Okay, so I click on 'Add fonts' and apply the police to my text.  Nothing happens.

  Huh... well the image "of the T police' appears at the bottom right of my screen, it's weird.  I'll listen to some extracts in chrome, still ugly old without seriff, also with the logo 'of the T police' down right.

  Hi Trevor,

  I'm sorry you troubles here. Typekit may be used locally. However, there are a few steps which if left empty, causes the fonts don't not to return. To use Typekit locally, it must:

  1. run a local server when you test your site in the browser. You can tell if you are running a local server with the URL of the local site. If it starts with: file://, then you just look at a local file in a browser and it works does not from a local server.

  If the local URL starts with: http:// then you're running a local server.

  2. the domain of your local server must be part of the list of field in your Kit. So if your local server uses: localhost, you will need to add this to the areas of your Kit.

• Suddenly copy / paste works more Illustrator CS5

  All of a sudden my copy / paste has stopped working. In Illustrator, if I select something, copy and then open a new file and try to paste what I copied in, nothing is displayed (although paste icons appear to be functional).

  However, if I try to do the same and paste my selection in Word, paste icons are grayed out.

  It happened all of a sudden...

  I use a Windows XP computer with tons of memory.

  Help, please!
