• Can I paste code directly into a business structure?

  Hi all.  I use Labview 8.6.1 and I have a small question.  I'm trying to copy a piece of "code" of an old diagram in a new.

  It works fine if I just stick in an empty space.  But if I try to paste it directly into a box structure, I lose all the wires and the code seems to rest on the top of the structure of the case rather than getting included in it.

  One solution is to paste this old code into the empty space, and then drag to the structure of the case.  It works very well.  But is it possible to paste the code directly in the structure of the case?

  For some reason when you try to paste directly into a case structure, code is floating, I think there is a reason for this, probably to do with the tunnels of the structure.  I usually stick like a floating code on the case structure and then make her slichtly is not floating.  The new snippletts code can work around this problem, but it is not available in LV2009 only 8.6

• How can I turn this into a class or a function?

  Hey all, this is my first time on this forum posting.

  I have a piece of code that is repeated several times. It is a repetitive process, this should in my view be put into a function. It sets properties of landmarks on a custom map I made. As I'm pretty much a beginner to the ACE, I can't quite understand how to turn this piece of code in a function (or class?). I tried several times, but I cannot fix things.

  The instance name of the button in my example is 'button '. I need the name of the instance url when clicked, the title ToolTip on hover and the text of the ToolTip to the overview as parameters for my position, I guess because these are the only things that change each time.

  I want to turn it into something (function/class) I can approach like this:

  buttonSetProperties (buttonInstanceName, buttonUrl, buttonTooltipTitle, buttonTooltipText);

  It is a function/method call.  show the method itself.

  It expected to resemble:

  function show(button:MovieClip,s1:String,s2:String):void {}

  ...

  }

  except your show() method looks like probably:

  function show(button:__Sprite__,s1:String,s2:String):void {}

  ...

  }

• Event structure vs business structure?

  I'm developing an application that can be fairly entered user based... a lot of command buttons Boolean to do different things.

  In the past, I was able to avoid the event structures "change value" and went instead with a while loop, stacked sequence and series of structures of the case. After, I decided that it was a terrible idea. This time, I intend to build an array from a Boolean, convert it to a number and feed it in to a unique business structure. This will give me the ability to add cases for different combinations of the Boolean being pressed.

  I guess the question is: what is the best way to do something like that?  Does have advantages over the other?

  Edit: I was not clear.  I would like to a comparison between the method of structure of event 'change of value', and just feeding into a table-> structure of the case.  I also fear that with the bool-> structure table affair I'll run problems where I find myself with too much control variable and the value of the resultant becomes ugly number very quickly. The application has several buttons... then, finally, save, load, several different configure configuration buttons etc.

• Can Media Encoder take a sequence of images in the watch folder and turn it into a video file?

  I use OSX and Media Encoder 6 (6 pm) and does not know how the spyware file take a .jpeg or .dpi sequence and turn it into a single video file.

  I tried to copy all photos in the folder of the watch, who made 60 video files individual (one for each image).

  I tried to make a subfolder in the watch folder and copy images in there... to which Media Encoder did nothing.

  What Miss me? Media Encoder will take image sequences and make out like an audio-less video for me?

  Still image sequences are not supported as a source through spyware records footage. If a set of still images is placed in the watched folder, each individual file will be added under a separate item in the queue rather than the entire sequence as a single piece of film.

  What version of Windows are you using?

  You can try to open the picture in paint and adjust the print settings and change the orientation from there.

  I actually understand it. Not the best user friendly system. Where as before (CS5), I just had to go to crop tool and choose the dimensions and the inches now it in the window. Just really complicated for nothing.
