support dv6t-1200 ssd sata III

I have a CTO dv6t 1200, and I would like to replace the hard drive with a disc SSD 830 TeamViewer.  The dv6 shows a motherboard Quanta 3627 18.42 and I would like to know if it supports SATA III my S/N is CNF9407X3H part number fv161av.  I am running Windows 7. My understanding is that SATA III will perform much better than the SATA II and because the SSD is $ 300, if I can't get the performance I would consider a laptop set to level.

I bought and installed the 256 GB samsung 830 drive and it works fine. I still don't know if I get SATA II or SATA III speeds but is much faster, so it is what it is.

  • HP Pavilion dv7 - 4083cl: support SSD SATA III?

    Hello

I think about adding a 2nd. hard drive in my HP Pavilion dv7 - 4083cl.

The current drive of 500 GB at 7200 RPM will be the 2nd. drive and a new SSD will be 1. drive (System and boot).

I was looking for this information, but I couldn't find the answer. My doubts are:

    1. the dv7 - 4083 cl does support SATA III? If I install a SATA III disc, will it work to its full potential, or as a SATA II drive? In other words, can I buy a SSD SATA II drive cheaper because I wouldn't have the performance of a most recent hard drive SSD SATA III?

    2. a 256 GB SSD support this machine? Or is it just up to 160 GB?

    Thank you!

    Hello:

You know the chipset specifications to determine what version of your laptop SATA drive will manage transfer speeds to.

Your laptop computer has a chipset Mobile Intel series 5 (HM55) who can run that hard disks to the SATA II transfer speed.

Not until you get to new Intel 6 Series chipsets and can they run SATA III drives to SATA III speed.

Here is the link to the plug on the chipset of your notebook.  Note the SATA 3.0 GB/S specifications.

    http://www.Intel.com/content/www/us/en/chipsets/mainstream-chipsets/mobile-chipset-HM55.html

Since your laptop comes standard with a 500 GB HARD drive, I imagine a 250 GB SSD should work fine.

However, the recovery disks may not work on a smaller hard drive.

I want to replace the existing 500 GB "d" (5400 RPM) drive with an OCZ 240 GB drive SSD SATA III and must make sure that this laptop will support a SATA III SSD drive?

I am not concerned about the start time that you want to use the SSD for video editing, so I don't anticipate using the SSD instead of the c"" drive.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello

Well, this will speed up the startup time of your machine a lot but for editing video may not help much. In any case the SATA III (or 3) is backward compatible with SATA II (or 2) and SATA I (or 1). You're probably on the price/cost. A little program called PC Wizard will tell you the speed of the disk on your computer controller:

You can download it from the following link:

  • Lenovo y570 ssd sata III

Hi all. I have a question about SATA3 ssd drive. My laptop is Lenovo Y570 is compatible with the interface SATA3 IE, I want to connect the SATA3 SSD instead of the old hard drive and install a system of programs, etc. Is that the laptop will not restrict the flow of data in this article?

to be clear 3 Gbps transfer speed is for sata ii, not for the sata iii.
supports the SATA iii 6 gb/s.

  • HP Pavilion Elite HPE-540me: adding an SSD (SATA III) for HP Elite desktop computer. Is this possible?

    Dear Experts...

I want to upgrade my computer by adding an SSD as a master drive and move the original 2 TB drive to be a slave.

I found several coices of SSDS, but almost all of them are SATA III interface.

Is my office supports this interface? as it is just written that it has a SATA interface without specifying what version of SATA!

How many hard drives could this office holds? I already have two (the original 2 TB and my old drive 256 GB) and I wand to add a SSD for Windows and the progs.

Can I purchase this SSD for example? Samsung Electronics 840 EVO-series 500 GB 2.5 inch SATA III single-unit Version internal Solid State...

It is the official my desktop HP specifications page .

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello

It has 2 bays free HARD disk as on its specifications:

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docid=emr_na-c02781215

You can trade SSDS on your machine and make the old HDD as a secondary drive ("slave"). SATA III is backwards compatible so you can use it. Since then have been smaller SSD (normally 2.5 "), something that is similar to one of the following media:

  • HP Pavilion DV6 6053ea - SSD SATA III HARD disk? & HARD drive space gone?

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion DV6 6053ea. It works fairly well, but I think I have an SSD would really speed up the loading of programs and start etc. I'm not so sure that the upgrade. I read on a thread if I had Port SATA 1 6 Gbps Supported or SATA Port 0 6 Gbps then my cell phone was good for SATA III. Is this the case? Joined a program hwinfo32 image, can you check if my phone would support SATA III?

The other issue is my HD. My laptop says I have 750GB HD coming to about 700 GB after formatting. But my laptop seems to have only a total of 350 GB with all sectors added together. Where is the space?

    Hello

Yes, your laptop has 2 ports SATA 6 GB/s (SATA III) most likely the hard drive and an optical drive are connected on it. There are also 2 SATA 3Gbps ports but not in use, I guess.

The other issue is that there are 4 partitions but the partition 0 is strange and shouldn't be there. There should be a small boot for Windows partition (for BitLocker etc.), drive C: with Windows, D: drive with a partition recovery and partition Tools HP QuickWeb and some diagnostic utilities. It seems that the recovery partition is missing, the C: drive has been decreased and then created a small partition at the beginning of the hard disk. Take a look at disk management in administrative tools in the control panel this partitioning is on the hard drive.

  • Pavilion dv6-3125er: dv6-3125er support is HP Pavilion SATA-III?

I know that preinstalled HDD Hitachi HTS725032A9A364 a SATA II interface. But the laptop does support SATA-III?

No it's earlier than SATA-III. The chipset is not able to make this speed. But this does not mean that you can not use SATA-III drives. The SATA standard requires devices downclock for earlier versions. For example, you can use a hard drive SATA-III or SSD and will hardly notice a difference.

  • Core I7 3770 - 32 GB of Ram - SSD Sata III - Super slow

Hello. (First of all, sorry for the bad English...)

IM test of the 9 on a Windows 7 and 8 host workstation. (First of all, I tried with Windows 7 and now same problem with Windows 8).

I did a guest, with windows 2003 server, and it works like a monster... (4 cores, 16 GB ram, 200 GB virtual hard drive). Super fast, everything works well... BUT...

This great work fast, his goes well, but after a while (a few times after 5 min, other times after 2 hours), the host and the guest is awarded to Super slow... all clicks on the host or the guest I have to wait 40 ~ 120 seconds in this click on the work and the system only back to normal works if I closed the comments. When it occurs, the hdd led lights up every 1 or 2 seconds. I'm looking for in the Task Manager and processor only 5 or 10% in use, I have a lot of free memory.

With great difficulty and slowness, I turn off comments and everything back to normal, I can turn on comments again once and continues to operate normally until the problem recurs.

When I tried with Windows 7, I tried to put some real time, protection of Security Essentials and same problem... on Windows 8, did the same thing with windows defender. Looking at the other messages and texts, some guy says Intel Turbo bust works well with a lot of virtualization technologies, and then I tried to put the Turbo bust too, but didn't work.

Why I tried to give the real-time protection? Because some time when Im in the host and some download Chrome browser, the problem of slow boot and I get frost on chrome and the system goes to the Super slow. It does not at all downloads, but on 10, I had the problem with 2 or 3 downloads.

If I don't have some put in market comments, I never get the problem.

    No question.

Anything I can try, I did...

    Back to hyper-v.

    Thank you.

  • Satellite R830 - support Sata III for SSD drives

    Hello

Why Toshiba Satellite R830 does not support Sata III, although the plug to motherboard. indicate that it is possible?

So you can not significantly increase the performance of your laptop by replacing the HARD drive with disk SSD Sata III. Is it possible to activate the Sata III (6 Mbps) on R830?

All the system settings? It's also kind of bios update request necessary support SSD and SATA III...

    Any help is appreciated! :)

    > It shows that SATA III is supported, but when you install the SSD SATA III disc it does not work with higher speeds to ~ 250 MB/s (cases Crucial M4).

From my own experience many SSD readers need a updated firmware that is provided by the manufacturers of SSD drives.

But readers in the R830 SSD seems to support these specifications:
    Host interface: Max 300 MB/s
Reading data supported: Max 250 MB/s
Writing data supported: Max 160 MB/s

By the way: the R830 supports a Mobile Intel HM65 Express Chipset and the chipset supports the storage interface high speed supports up to 6 Gb/s transfer rate for improved data access. Provides up to 6 SATA ports, 3 Gb/s with up to 2 ports support 6 Gb/s transfer rate.

  • IdeaPad Z570 - can he support a SATA III SSD?

I'm looking for by replacing the slow 5400 RPM HARD drive in my laptop Z570, and I was wondering if anyone knows if it can support a SATA III SSD?

    jhollender,

Z570 is only Sata II. So if you were to get a SSD SATA III, you only use it to speed SATA II and not to speed SATA III.

Please look around and see if there is no reviews with users using a Z570 with SSD because there have been compatibility issues concerning different SSDS due to the type of controller used.

    Thank you.

  • HP DV7-6199us supports SATA III?

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion dv7-6199us, and I couldn't find what SATA support it?
There only SATA II or SATA III?

The reason I ask because I want to replace my SSD HARD drive.

    Thank you.

It's a SATA III interface, but you could install an SSD, even if it is SATA-II. Disc SSD SATA-III will be downclock to work on a SATA-II port and you would never know the difference. Or the other will be very fast.

  • By Satellite L655-1KE supports SATA III?

    Hello world

Sorry, but I write quickly because I repair this laptop from a friend (and need to do this before Christmas!).

The problem is that the HARD disk is dead.
So I need to buy a new one, but I have a question: does this computer motherboard support SATA III or only SATA II? The original HARD drive is SATA II.

As the HARD drive is dead, I am not able to install a tool like Everest to get information.

So, can anyone give me the answer help or is there a tool I can start and who could give me details on the SATA III supported?

Another idea, is it a tool capable of giving that there are details from the start in mod console with a Windows CD?

    Thank you in advance!

    Gourbish.

Yes, you might be right; SATA III isn't taken care of.
I had installed a compatible drive SSD SATA III but I could get max / 3 Gb/s, which means SATA II

However, the SATA is backward compatible, so you should be able to use a SATA III HARD disk but with limited performance.

Finally, it's a record of 2.5 inches that will be replaced or a 1.8?

    You are the very welcome.

SATA II is a 'bonus' on SATA - in particular with regard to an SSD.

Yes, your drive SSD SATA III will work very well with the SATA II controller, but you may have been able to save a little money if you can get a SATA II SSD - and I only say that because there is no advantage in having a SATA III SSD in your laptop on a SATA II one.

However, one day you can transfer your drive controller supports SATA III SSD SATA III on a PC.

    Hello
Can someone please tell me, if I can get a SSD SATA III (6 gb/s) on a Lenovo z570?
This laptop has an Intel HM65 chipset, which should work with a SATA III SSD.
With HWinfo and Intel Rapid Storage, I realized the SATA 3 is supported.

    Thank you!
