Support for Android Smartphone

Hello

With regard to this documentation:

Digital Publishing Suite help | Implementation of "renditions" to viewers Android native

in the configuration section of your application for improved "rendition":

"If you don't support the phone, for example, publish a special report that tells users that the application is not available on this type of device.

From a UX perspective, this isn't a great workaround, the user sees the app on Google game, download, provided that the content is in the application, download the folio (for which an editor is charged 21 c probably) gets disappointed and potentially leave a bad review such as "downloaded on my Samsung Galaxy S5, no content. etc etc.

Is not a better way to set the support enforcement at the level of the game of Google by unchecking the smartphone devices that appear in the list?

And if so, does anyone have a list of smartphone devices in this list?

Screen Shot 2014-07-24 at 11.40.53 am.png

There are almost 5 000 devices in this list. Try to uncheck all the ones Smartphone is a losing battle

The subject of support for advanced rendering covers a case of use very, very, narrow where a handful of people don't want their content visible on a phone. The reality is that the native Android Viewer is quite capable of folios of Tablet size display on phones. The content will scale down and with our pinch and zoom support readers can zoom in to read the content. This is not an unusual experience for phone users, there are in many other applications as well.

For the vast majority of our customers, the correct approach (if you don't want a custom picture size phone) is to publish a folio for the Android tablets which is then displayed on the tablets and phones and ignore the advanced feature of rendering completely.

  • Cannot connect AS15-HDR for Android Smartphone

    Hello

I'm trying to connect an AS15 HDR to my smartphone to control as described in the user manual.

I have PlayMemories Mobile installed 2.1.1 on my race stock Samsung Galaxy Note II (GT-N7100) Android Jelly Bean 4.1.1

I set the unit as described on page 39 of the user manual, I have PlayMemories installed and running. I can see the camera (LIVE - BFH0:HDR - AS15), I get the password, I select the device and after about 20 seconds, the app reported: "failed connection".

Is there a solution to this problem?

    Thank you

How can I get support a technique for my storm?  The whole post in the forum and wait 3, 4... 12 hours thing, it's not what I need.

You may be correct... I've never had to try. I was able to find the answers I need in these forums. Perhaps you could post your specific question? I noticed that you did publish inside a really huge thread... it would be probably more responsive to open a specific thread for your problems, instead of using alternating with so many other things...

Hi and welcome to the forums!

I would try the following list of vendors. Make sure that they have the correct software for your "BOLD" 9000

If you do not load the software from a different provider make sure you delete the vendor.xml file from your PC

After installing the OS device and before you install it on your device.

It looks like Cellcom Wireless Israel could be a good starting point, they have software "BOLD".

Let us know how it goes.

    Thank you

  • Support for blackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Messenger

The problem started when my Blackberry Messenger would freeze my phone, sometimes for up to 30 minutes, when I tried to open an existing conversation on this subject. Because he do not improve after some time, I decided to remove the app from my phone, and then try to reinstall. I don't know how to reinstall. It is incredibly difficult to learn, so now I'm here. I was on a site of Blackberry (http://na.blackberry.com/eng/devices/features/im/blackberry_messenger.jsp) where you are apparently able to download Blackberry Messenger, but that didn't work either. The site tells me to go their my phone, so I do, and then there is a big grey box that says "Download", when I click it, it says "sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support Blackberry Messenger for Software Versions 4.0 and 4.1".» I read somewhere that I need to use the Blackberry Desktop Manager to reinstall, I opened this program but have not found anything involving reinstalling the Messenger on my phone. I'm getting a little bored with it. Is there a site I can go to download an older version? How can I reinstall it? How? Its a Blackberry 8220 Flip if it matters. I'd appreciate the help. Thank you.

Hello and welcome to the Forums of Support BlackBerry.com.

You have your OS 8200 loaded on your PC? You will need to do this first. Find on your carrier's Web site. Looking for one that fits your device Options > about, third line down from 4. XXXX

THEN open Desktop Manager > process Loader. Search the BlackBerry Messenger list and check the box to load.

    Follow the prompts to complete.

    You have a 8220 and 8230?

Here's the latest files from the operating system for these devices...

  • Support for blackBerry Smartphones SMIME

    Hello

I recently converted to the Blackberry Tour starting a Windows Moblie device. I'm faced with a problem that is essential in our line of work and that is, that I can open is no longer our .mil customers emails. I am not able to open the SMIME messages. I'm not on a BES and use Desktop Manager.

So, my questions are the following:

    (1) at - it an application that I can load with this problem.

    (2) is there a workaround that can help solve the problem.

    Best regards and Semper Fidelis!

    James Hensley

I don't know if you need a BES to process S/MIME messages, but I know that you can use the Application Loader to install the S/MIME support.

    Check out this post

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/Rim/Board/message?board.ID=BlackBerryEnterpriseSolution&message...

If you have already installed S/MIME, and it does not work, you will need a BES.

  • Format not supported for blackBerry Smartphones

I downloaded a song from VCast, and now that I'm playing, he says "the current media of reading are a format not supported". Is there a way I can format it or what do I do?

Where do my files, I pull the battery and it recharges and works perfectly well.  That only works with files that the program is intended to be run well.  If you got off Vcast and it does not work properly due to problems of file type, you will need to talk to verizon.
