Support for Compaq SR5310F CPU

I have a Compaq SR5310F desktop computer with a 2160 cpu c2d.  When I checked that the specifications for the cpu upgrade for this machine, I was advised he could accept a Pentium D 9xx and 960 was the highest.  When I got the Pentium D 960 and installed the computer reported it was not supported.  When I look in the CMOS, it is visible, but when I try to use the computer with the installed processor it just turned off.  There is a bios update for this machine or can I just have bad information of HP?

This is the original factory specifications for the desktop Compaq Presario SR5310F. According to the specification, this model came with an Intel Pentium E2140 to the factory. Also, the specifications indicate that the following processors are supported;

Type of socket: 775

Core 2 Duo E4x00 with Dual Core (Conroe) until E4400 technology

Pentium E2000 series (Conroe) until E2160

Pentium D 9xx Dual Core (Presler) powered up to 960

Pentium 4 series of 6 x 1 (Cedar Mill) up to 661

Series Celeron 4xx up to 440

Celeron D 3xx series (Cedar Mill) up to 365

Celeron D 3xx series (Prescott) to 355

The Core 2 Duo E4000 series is the best, while the series Celeron D300 is the worst CPU supported.

  • Change tracking (CTK) block is supported for this virtual machine, but was refused. This will increase the CPU proxy and consumption of IOP.

I have problems with a client of VMware image-level in an EMC Avamar backup.  So far, we have not been able to find information about this message in the backup log file.  It is originally the backup to take a very long period of time (on average 10-11 hours).

2014-02-28 14:20:57 avvcbimage < 14681 > Info: change tracking (CTK) block is supported for this virtual machine, but was refused. This will increase the CPU proxy and consumption of IOP.

We cannot determine why CBT is "denied".  Has anyone here run across this issue before or seen any other type of backup VMware image have denied CBT?

Everything I checked watch that CBT is successfully activated since the file vmx for the customer to the Avamar config.

ESXi host is Enterprise Plus 4.1.0 260247

After spending some time on this issue, the ultimate resolution withdrew the Avamar vm and then add it again.  After that, CBT began to work properly.  It seems that there is a parameter that has been 'stuck' pertaining to this virtual machine that wasn't behaving properly.

  • Satellite C870 - 1 H 2 and support for virtualization

    Hello

    I am (was to) buy a Toshiba Satellite C870 - 1 H 2 (from amazon.co.uk).
The specifications look ideal for me, but at the last moment, I thought to check if VT - x extensions are supported.

I know that the processor supports extensions (as detailed here: [http://ark.intel.com/products/71465/]), but I know also that the extensions are often not enabled (or there is no option in the BIOS to enable them).

The expression "Virtualization Technology" (which is present on other pages of the specification) is clearly absent from the plug laptop here: [http://www.toshiba.co.uk/discontinued-products/satellite-c870-1h2/].
I saw some comments that suggest the Satellite * Pro * series usually provides the support for virtualization, but it always seems to be missing on many current models of Pro's specifications.

I don't know why the C870 would not support VT - x, when we know that his material, but the specifications indicate that this is the case. On the other hand, I found no references to people complaining about the lack of VT - x support.

So my question is, the Satellite C870 - 1 H 2 actually does support VT - x, or not?
(and if not, because it takes just a very small piece of code BIOS, why not?)

    Thank you

    > The same issue applies. These models are supported virtualization

VT support is always depends on the CPU built in Notepad. But you mentioned it in the first post.
According to the page of the Ark from Intel, the Intel Pentium 2020 M processor supports Intel Virtualization Technology (VT - x)

  • All the driver for Compaq Presario with OS Windows XP Profesional

    Hi admin and all,.

In this case, I am the new office. Where is the computer I use a desktop Compaq Presario CQ3138L with operating system Windows XP Professional PC brands. After the re - install all drivers are not available. After browsing the site HP Web is not available for Windows XP. I'm waiting for all his help. Thanks for the solution

    Hello:

What you expect and that you end up with, are two different things.

No HP PC consumer in the past 7 years has support for windows XP.

When you use a PC for work that you can buy a PC company that normally support for other windows operating systems.

You will need to find XP drivers individual available Web sites by the hardware manufacturer.

I'll try and help you find the drivers, but no guarantee of success.

First install the Intel chipset driver and restart.

    Then try this graphics driver:

  • Win 7 Support for Intel 865 G (HP D530 SFF) graphics card

I recently upgraded my HP/Compaq D530 SFF model (small footprint) Pc in XP - PRO on Win - 7.  The upgrade was easy and went smoothly.  Update Windows automatically updated the driver ADI AC97 Integratd Digital Audio to worm 5.12.1.5410 and the driver Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet to worm. 10.100.0.0, which are listed by HP as Win-Vista certified.

Unfortunately, it didn't automatically update the driver for the hardware Intel 865 G chipset motherboard graphics.  Instead, it installs a Microsoft "generic" drivers VGA game.  My D530 SFF special is a 2.8 ghz P4 hyperthreading, but according to the HP "Drivers WEB site" (for XP), all versions of the HP D530 has the same graphics hardware. so, my exact submodel should not really matter.

Windows 7 runs strong (at least as well as XP) on this beautiful little PC.  In three days, it has generated NO 'system' or 'application' error log.  Win-7 notification Center, however, annoyingly tells me everytime I open a program of specific graphics of Win - 7 (even the game of Solitaire) that my video card is running in "software rendering" mode with NO hardware acceleration.  Even the Solitaire game runs very slowly, but it runs without error.  Microsoft "DirectX Diagnostic Utility" indicates that DirectX 11 is running correctly on my PC and it can't find ANY error.  It indicates (as I already knew) that hardware acceleration has been turned off.

I tried to run HP softpac "sp31335.exe" to load the version "6.14.10.4396 has ' graphics drivers running on this PC when installing XP.  The softpac ends before doing anything with a message that says "Unsupported OS."  Because softpac graphic drivers are supposed to be 'XPDM"consistent, I suspect they will probably work with Win - 7 (even if they are NOT supported by HP and may have some minor problems).  In any case, I would put a "restore point" and give it a whirl.  What I have to lose, because there is NO data or programs installed on this PC (clean install).  In the worst cases, I just reload Win - 7.

My problem: I can't go to the version "6.14.10.4396 has ' graphics drivers because of Installer softpac (i.e."sp31335.exe").  Is it possible that I can bypass the message 'NOT supported by the OS' and get the graphic drivers to install anyway?

Update: I solved my problem.  Even if HP has structured its executable program SoftPac (sp31335.exe) so that it will not install the version of graphic XPDM driver 6.14.10.4396 on a HP D530 with Windows 7 operating system, Intel made this driver available on its WEB site and is available for download. ZIP format.

During a search, however, I found a newer version of the Intel driver and installed.  The Windows DirectX Diagnostics utility reports NO errors and hardware acceleration has been turned on.  In addition, 96 MB of memory is allocated to graphics.  I ran for a good week with graphics performance at least equal to what was previously done under Windows XP.  Data for this download are the following:

Intel (r) 82865G Graphics Controller (Microsoft Corporation - XDDM)

Apparently, Intel provided this driver to Microsoft for inclusion on the installation disk of VISTA to 865G family support (and other).  I extracted the following excerpt:

Q3: Intel provides drivers for Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 (Intel GMA 900) WDDM on platforms based on the Intel 915 Express chipsets?

A3: Intel will provide support for WDDM drivers, starting with the Intel® 945 Express Chipset family and beyond. See question 5 below for a detailed explanation of the WDDM support on platforms based on the Intel® 915 Express chipsets. However, Windows Vista is supported on the Intel® 865 G, 915 G Express desktop PC and 852/855 GM chipsets chipsets mobile running XPDM (XP Display Driver Model) driver included on the Windows Vista install media. Windows Vista will install on these platforms, but advanced features such as Aero in Windows will not be enabled as XPDM drivers do not support Windows AERO.

  • MY DELL LATITUDE D610 HOW CAN I UPGRADE TO THE NEW VERSION OF WINDOWS? NOW IT IS WINDOWS 7, WHAT VERSION IS SUPPORT FOR USE WELL ON MY DEVICE?

MY DELL LATITUDE D610 HOW CAN I UPGRADE TO THE NEW VERSION OF WINDOWS? NOW IT IS WINDOWS 7, WHAT VERSION IS SUPPORT FOR USE WELL ON MY DEVICE? PLEASE HELP ME

Read this: upgrade Windows 10 Dell Latitude D610

Take a look at my answer, complete instructions.

Basically speaking, Dell officially supports Windows 2000 and Windows XP on Dell Latitude D610 (and other models of Dx10).

However it can really run Windows Vista and 7 at least, as long as you max out the RAM (2 GB, 2 x 1 GB, can be purchased at a great price in eBay) and install the drivers, in particular graphics drivers, look in Device Manager and see what drivers are needed manually.

If you're lucky to have a D610 with ATi graphics card then you can even run Windows 8 and 10 with all drivers available, and I can tell you that it won't be slow dog not unlike a lot of people say, I don't have something similar (a HP Compaq nx8220) in common use. Keep as lean as possible (not bloatwares, anti-virus etc.) system, and it will serve you well.
