Support multilingual in ADF

Hai friends,
It is Olivier, I work on the concept of internationalization in one of the projects,
the project must be developed on the English and in Hebrew, the language of Israel.
I tried, but there is a problem in the regional settings in the browser...
people u can help me and give the locale and the language code to use in the
Resource bundle file...

Thank you in advance.
Carolina.

If you have? on the browser, the data has been corrupted in level of Java. You can convert your files of Arab properties using conversion native2ascii tool of $JDK_HOME/jdk/bin directory. He must convert all the Arabic characters in Unicode as \u...
So the main idea should not be any Arabic character transcribed format, but in Unicode it instead of.

  • Support multilingual in the design/execution?

    Hello

    I tried to understand if Webcenter portal has a way to support multilingual during execution.

    What I mean is if we add the content through the portal editing mode, if a user creates a new page or modifiies the portal we guarantee multilingual so that the content created by the user? Or how can the user do the Multilingual page.

    Concrete example. The user creates a page with an image and a html page/file, both at the University Complutense of MADRID where there are 2 versions of each for each language. (searchable by metadata).

    Second example practice. This time, its not the content of UCM but just the text inserted into the page, can the user add translations or edit the hollow of beams of language portal?

    If anyone knows if it's feasible would be great

    Thank you for your time

    Yes and no.

    Site of the Studio, is indeed a web content management solution, still a part of the content of WebCenter, and you can make a site with it. I wish to indicate, however, that it is "replace" portal. In any case, several concepts of Site Studio or its new version Site Studio for external Applications, have been consumed by WebCenter Portal, esp. content Presenter.

    Such a concept is that present content can (also) be driven by metadata, which is exactly something that you could use for multilingual sites.

    In any case, better take a look at the new resources (I just noticed that the previous links no longer works, so here's a new :)

  • Support multilingual in an application web multi-language

    Hello!

    I had posted this on the forum RH HTML but who abducted and posted it here for a wider audience...

    Once I developed multilingual WebHelp (for example) how can I connect the help files in the web application that help is on? How are the output of the correct language displayed? For example, the application (as the help documents) changes its interface based on the language of the browser. The displayable content appropriate assistance based on the language of the browser? How multilingual support is usually implemented for the end user?

    And, just as important, how context-sensitive help (mapping) with several languages?

    I've never been involved in a multilingual development effort, and so I have no experience to connect it to. Any guidance will be greatly (and gratefully ) appreciated!

    Separate directories it will take whether you choose to implement your languages in separated from RoboHelp projects or use of conditional compilation within the same project.

    Don't worry not knowing the language. If you discount the HTML files for translators, you should get files HTML returns with the same file names. Your card ID, links, etc. should always be in place.

  • SAPI 5.4 support multilingual

    I develop an application that must be able to recognize the speech in many languages. Should I just download windows language packs to make it work? In addition, what languages are supported by the Microsoft speech recognition engine?

    Hello

  • Portal multilingual in adf

    Hello

    Use webcneter Portal 11.1.1.8.0

    JDeveloper 11.1.1.7.0

    I have provided my navigation task without rate limit in my snapshot below. I also joined by ADF taskflow in portal.

    My scenario:

    Once I have change the language from English to Arabic, the router must navigate to the workflow NewsList_ar.

    But after changing the English language into Arabic, the taskflow isn't chagning.

    Kindly help.

    Hello again.

    You should really consider the first approach. If there is no option then don't take of workaround for your question.

    • Add to your defined task flow an input parameter. E.g. local -> This setting is accessible in your workflow task defined as #{pageFlowScope.locale}
    • Use in your selector #{pageFlowScope.locale} instead of facesContext.
    • Deploy your TF on a WebCenter Portal Page.
    • Configure the input parameter to match the locale EL Expression
    • Using the Administration Console, change the definition of the Page Source and configure the Update to IfNeeded. What he does? It will refresh your workflow at each time your input parameter changes. In this case, the locale will change and your workflow are refreshed

    Anyway, please consider making the first approach instead of this one

  • Question about the ADF Version supported Oracle database

    Hello

    One of my client's situation trigger this thread, they have a few Oracle 9.2.0.6 inherited instance, which turns out to be that a version of database not supported for JDeveloper/ADF 12.1.3, in this case, supports an earlier version of the ADF is the only choice without upgrading of database to 11.x for them?

    And I'm also interested to know why JDeveloper/ADF confined its support to some version of database Oracle, thank you

    -Liang Yi

    Hello

    If I'm not wrong then the Oracle 9i database is out of support since juil.-2007. JDeveloper and ADF certifies and supports the unsupported database versions or operating systems. So I hope that answers the "why". The real solution is to upgrade the database, because that's the reason that will block you for what your client is to move forward.

  • Multilingual sites

    Hello

    If we have content website similar but will be published in several languages, what are the best practices of the Webcenter Sites?  Will I create just two separate sites or?

    Thank you

    Hello

    The best practice is to create the navigation once, I mean the pages in the site map.

    Is what you should translate the content inside (Articles, content, Images,...).

    Each content will have a Dimension and you choose the right pair using the DimensionSet.

    You have more information here: Configuration of Sites to support multilingual - 11 g Release 1 (11.1.1.8.0)

    Is multiple attachments supported in the ADF Mobile? If so, please suggest how to achieve this scenario.

    -Deepak

    Deepak,

    You can attach multiple files as string separated by commas (paths).

  • Is it possible to use the Web ADF service proxy client in ADF mobile app

    Recently, I started to develop mobile ADF applications on the device. Is it possible to use the client for proxy to service Web ADF with mobile application on the device? I read it in a document that, mobile ADF will not support "* WebService Java Proxy" * and supports only "* ADF webservice datacontrol * '"»

    If the customer service Web ADF proxy is not supported in mobile ADF, so how can I integrate ADF with EBS?

    REDA

    Where did you read that you can not use complex types with the Web Service data control? What version is that for.
    You should be able to use the Web Service data with complex types control.
    You can try and let us know if you encounter any specific problems?

  • Clustered using Oracle ADF - CHECK_STATE_SERIALIZATION = all

    We use Oracle ADF 11.1.1.6. We have started to test our Oracle ADF application for cluster compatibility and used according to the document. We coded all recommendations figure in the document including allowing all classes of java there is place of serialization and also configure adf_config.xml < adfc:adf - scope-ha-support > true < / adfc:adf - scope-ha-support > and < adf:adf - scope-ha-support > true < / adf:adf - scope-ha-support > exactly as in in the document.

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E12839_01/core.1111/e10106/ADF.htm

    Now, to verify the high availability on a stand-alone server of web logic for debugging use we have configured the Java Option '-Dorg.apache.myfaces.trinidad.CHECK_STATE_SERIALIZATION = all "in accordance with the recommendation.

    After the definition of this indicator system started throwing loads of mistakes similar to the below given error.

    [2012 07-26 T 14: 17:43.602 - 04:00] [OPERA_ADF1] [ERROR] [] [org.apache.myfaces.trinidadinternal.config.CheckSerializationConfigurator$ MutatedBeanChecker] [tid: [ASSETS].] [ExecuteThread: '17' for queue: "(self-adjusting) weblogic.kernel.Default"] [userId: edozer] [ecid: 64915ee7c1860d85:40a983d1:138bf4550b2:-7ffd - 0000000000005fcb, 0] [APP: OperaApplications_o90_smoke #V9.0.0] failover error: attribute: Serialization of the Session data is increased from oracle.adf.model.servlet.HttpBindingContext@365f8709 to oracle.adf.model.servlet.HttpBindingContext@36b6565b without the attribute being dirtied

    The question here is what are we missing?

    Please note that our application is still missing ControllerContext.getInstance () .markScopeDirty (pageFlowScope); but when I tried to create a sample application and deliberately left the 'markScopeDirty' using code below the above error was not reproducible.

    public class myBackingBean
    {
    public void changeValueButton (ActionEvent ae)
    {
    Map < String, Object > pageFlowScope = AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance () .getPageFlowScope ();
    pageFlowTestBean obj = (pageFlowTestBean) pageFlowScope.get ('pageFlowTestBean');
    System.out.println ("Old value" + obj.getYVar ());
    obj.setYVar ("new value");
    / * ControllerContext.getInstance () .markScopeDirty (pageFlowScope); */
    }
    }

    Anyone can shade more light on this subject?

    Also, I would like to know that someone can guide me what is the best practice to perform a ControllerContext.getInstance () .markScopeDirty (pageFlowScope); Because developers can easily miss this statement and I have not found any easy way to find code that is missing from this statement (I've already tried the Audit of Jdeveloper feature and it works for very rare cases).

    Hello

    Only when you do a Session.put (), the framework will know something has changed in the session Object and mark its scope as dirty and and he will try to replicate this object in another server...

    If change you it by reference. He won't try to reproduce the object in another server.
    For example, if you make below by changing something by reference, you must explicitly mark scopedirty. otherwise, the framework will not replicate the object to the failover server.

    In your code

    Card pageFlowScope = AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance () .getPageFlowScope ();
    pageFlowTestBean obj = (pageFlowTestBean) pageFlowScope.get ('pageFlowTestBean');
    System.out.println ("Old value" + obj.getYVar ());
    obj.setYVar ("new value");
    you change the value above by reference. So, unless you set the dirty scope this change in the PageFlowscope will not be replicated to another server.
    At this stage when a failover occurs, obj.getYVar () in the new server will always be the old value.

  • Some symbols does not...

    When viewing Web sites that show characters such as Japanese symbols, etc. it instead presents itself as a square with numbers inside. How can I fix this to show the correct character?

    Make sure that you have installed the support of East Asian language.

  • How can I get rid of the boxes that appear when I visit a show that isn't in English?

    I do a lot of browsing, but sites that go for the most part are in Japanese and instead to see the real kana I see just weird boxes... I downloaded the Japanese language pack, but it is not always fill them with the real... written language just boxes with numbers inside... Its probably a simple setting, but I cannot figure out for the life of me...

    Make sure that you have installed the support of East Asian language.
