• Support multilingual in the design/execution?

  I tried to understand if Webcenter portal has a way to support multilingual during execution.

  What I mean is if we add the content through the portal editing mode, if a user creates a new page or modifiies the portal we guarantee multilingual so that the content created by the user? Or how can the user do the Multilingual page.

  Concrete example. The user creates a page with an image and a html page/file, both at the University Complutense of MADRID where there are 2 versions of each for each language. (searchable by metadata).

  Second example practice. This time, its not the content of UCM but just the text inserted into the page, can the user add translations or edit the hollow of beams of language portal?

  Yes and no.

  Site of the Studio, is indeed a web content management solution, still a part of the content of WebCenter, and you can make a site with it. I wish to indicate, however, that it is "replace" portal. In any case, several concepts of Site Studio or its new version Site Studio for external Applications, have been consumed by WebCenter Portal, esp. content Presenter.

  Such a concept is that present content can (also) be driven by metadata, which is exactly something that you could use for multilingual sites.

  Once I developed multilingual WebHelp (for example) how can I connect the help files in the web application that help is on? How are the output of the correct language displayed? For example, the application (as the help documents) changes its interface based on the language of the browser. The displayable content appropriate assistance based on the language of the browser? How multilingual support is usually implemented for the end user?
  
  And, just as important, how context-sensitive help (mapping) with several languages?
  
  I've never been involved in a multilingual development effort, and so I have no experience to connect it to. Any guidance will be greatly (and gratefully ) appreciated!

  Separate directories it will take whether you choose to implement your languages in separated from RoboHelp projects or use of conditional compilation within the same project.

  Don't worry not knowing the language. If you discount the HTML files for translators, you should get files HTML returns with the same file names. Your card ID, links, etc. should always be in place.

• SAPI Wrapper

  A speech synthesis in Java engine. to make it compatible SAPI, a wrapper on the current engine was built in C++ using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010.

  STDMETHOD (Speak) to the wrapper makes a call to the function of speech synthesis on the TTS engine. However, the setup.exe that results (obtained by running the iss file using the Inno compiler), although installed on all Windows 7 systems do not work, IE produce speech synthesized when executing the example of TTS Application.  The code must be built individually on each system and compiled individually iss file to produce the file setup.exe. Could you explain the reason for this?  The SAPI-written wrapper supports Microsoft Speech SDK 5.1.

• FDMEE - SAP bristle cone adapter (SFTP)

  Hi team,

  We are trying to integrate FDMEE with SAP using the adapter to hair-cone. Read me says that we can have the FTP or Shared folder for this. My organization won't drive Shared and FTP, they only have SFTP. Can we use SFTP Setup for this integration within ODI. Please provide your valuable feedback people.

  There are two points here. When we have an FTP server:

  (1) SAP download the file to the server using FTP. SAP does not support SFTP out of the box, even if the secure transfer can be configured to your SAP database.

  (2) the officer of the ODI will get the file from the FTP server using SFTP. (In fact, the KMs ODI) adapter is not configured by default with SFTP. You must set the options of LKM in case you use SSH, identity file, etc..

  All this is documented in the ODI - KMs for SAP guides.

  The best practice is to create the navigation once, I mean the pages in the site map.

  Is what you should translate the content inside (Articles, content, Images,...).

  Each content will have a Dimension and you choose the right pair using the DimensionSet.

  Pages that use Unicode (UTF-8) format display a small box with the hex code if the character cannot be displayed.
  Which allows you to search the character in a table.

  If you see such a box with hexadecimal code in it, then it means that Firefox cannot map a character to a specific font, and you will need to install a font that covers the affected characters.

  In your case you are missing fonts and font support if it occurs on sites that use the IDEOGRAM.
  
  You will see something similar on Windows XP if you visit pages that use complex scripts (e.g. hindi and Arabic).
  
  Windows XP account very basic language support installed by default.
  
  There are many languages in the world and there are still languages that may require special fonts.
  
  You probably can't read, so it's your choice if you want to install a font for these pages or just accept the small squares with the hex code.

• Please help - FF displays a bow square with characters in it, not a policy.

  I read some responses to this topic and I made adjustments that they talked about a none of them worked.

  I have a new installation of 3.6.12 on a new machine.
  On Facebook & Twitter and many other sites and any page translator and or applications, I find myself with this square box with a hexadecimal number (I see called) I made the adjustments in "allow sites to use there fonts" and some other ideas and each time I restarted FF and even the machine several times after adjustment.

  I use translator pages often and none of them will not display a correct characters.

  Please, I need to fix this!
