Support of RAM RAM RAM of 64 bit!

Hello

I am close to buying a new box of CF and it sit in the isp for 3 years server room without stand worrying at the hardware level in New York on this matter. I saw a load of articles and I'm pretty sure that a dual xeon dual core in place will make me v nicely, but I'm hiding a lot of queries and wanted to have as much RAM as possible and I am a bit confused about the use of the RAM of the CF. If anyone has the answer to each of the following q, I would be very grateful.

1 be a man of microsoft, I am limited to w2k3 and is it interesting by getting Enterprise 32-bit for the 4 GB + RAM or is there a limit to how much RAM coldfusion can use, and so might as well go for the cheaper w2k3 standard edition with 4 GB of ram.

2. If I get w2k3 standard edition 64-bit support (more 4 GB + RAM supported) will be CFMX 7 connect with IIS in 64-bit mode, I have to wait for CFMX8 or should I stick to 32 bit to avoid complications huge config.

Thank you very much

Oli

1 Java can use as much RAM as you like, so if you think you could take advantage of having more than 4 GB of RAM, do.
2 ColdFusion is a 32-bit application, but it can run in 64 bit OS. By default, IIS 6/7 will not run a 32-bit plugin, but you can run the following line to enable it.

cscript.exe adsutil.vbs set W3SVC/AppPools/Enable32BitAppOnWin64 true

    Windows XP instead of Vista.

I would like to install Windows XP on my computer and get rid of the Vista operating system.  Can I do this?  I only have 512 MB of Ram and 32-bit processor.

    Hello

There are a few things that you would have to do to install XP instead of Vista:

    1. contact the manufacturer of your computer and see if the XP drivers are available for your computer model to make sure that XP has worked properly in this regard.

    2. If the XP Drivers are available, buy a XP disk operating system / license. Try local computer repair shops because Microsoft sells more than XP and online sale buy you pirated copies can cause. Be very careful.

3 XP runs with 512 MB of RAM, although a little slow by today's standards.

    4. do a clean install of XP. Make sure that all your data is backed up as the hard will be cleaned of everything during the Installation of XP.

  • HP 15 Notebook PC: HARD SSD drive, and can my laptops support more ram

    Product name: HP 15 laptop

    Product number: K6C60EA #ABU

    8.1 Windows 64-bit

    I have a 1 TB 5400 rpm HDD Samsung and 8 DDR3L RAM.

I want to change this (HDD) for a

    Samsung 850 EVO 250GB 2.5 "SSD

Is that a good choice, my budget is less than £80.

Also can I have an upgrade of RAM, my processor States the max is 8 GB, but I saw some processor be able to handle more than its limit.

Here is a link to the service manual for your model, the 15-r160sa:

    Manual

Study this carefully. See p. 59. In order to access the hard drive, you must remove the entire cover. There is no easy access panel. You want to endanger the guarantee, but yes, the hard drive can be replaced with an SSD and that you have chosen is in my opinion, the best on the market.

With respect to memory, your laptop uses the Intel® Pentium® N3540, which is a "Bay Trail" processor. This means a few things. First of all, see page 2 of the Manual:

1 or 2 customer accessible/upgradable memory module slots (depending on model) 2 slots: DDR3L - 1600 MHz Dual Channel Support (Core processors) 1 location: DDR3 1333 MHz Dual Channel Support (DDR3L 1600 retrograde to the DDR3-1333) (Trail Bay processors)

So there is a slot of memory in your laptop and most it can take is 8 GB. Also, the memory is still harder to get than the hard drive. demanding the withdrawal of the motherboard.

I am owner of a Pavilion DV7T-3100, which came with two 2048 MB (DDR3 1066 MHz) ram modules installed. It has an Intel i5 CPU and it now runs 10 Windows 64-bit edition. • Support of RAM...

Hi everyone, I have a vaio E series Vpcea 16 FG similar to 21/22fx series. I plan to upgrade its 16 GB ram. Before that, I would like to know if my phone is supported or not. Updating there will be changes in the performance of the laptop. Please let me know... < br > < br > thank you all. < br > Joey

  • C50-B-13N satellite will not support the RAM recommended

Hi guys, I have a new Satellite C50 8.1 Win.

On the Toshiba site, for this particular model, it can be upgraded to 8 GB of ram.
There is no easy access on the background of this laptop Panel, so the complete lower cover must be removed, and there is only 1 RAM slot.

So I bought a single stick of ram 8 GB DDR3 at 1333 MHz (recommended speed on http://www.toshiba.co.uk/laptops/satellite/c50-b/satellite-c50-b-13n/ site Tosh).
Problem is he can't ram 1333 MHz speed - NOT just because it was an 8GB stick (I also had 1, 2 and 4 GB available sticks to test).

On cuts size of 1333 MHz laptop tries to power on then feeds directly to the output.
Its not too fast - for one, it's a portable Gen current with a processor that will gladly help 1333 MHz, but - GET THIS - the ram that came out was a stick of 4 GB 1600 MHz.

To try to contact Toshiba support I gave by telephone of the sales representative who had no idea what I was feeling and finally told Topaz ring, Toshiba repair and warranty the guys, who were quite confused as to why I was told to ring the.

So what about £55 in the sewers, because the package is opened and Toshiba play dumb on a possible serious failure.

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, they would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

  • Maximum RAM for 32-bit Vista Home Premium OS with SP2

I installed SP2 on my Vista Home Premium computer.  I have a HP Pavilion dv6646us that comes with 2 GB of RAM.  I want to switch to 4 GB, as my computer has been slowing down lately.  The Task Manager icon has had 100% CPU usage.  I read that a 32-bit system reads no more than 3 GB of RAM, but when I did a scan of the system, it was recommended, I'm going up to 4 GB, and I know that the computer can take the physical memory up to 4 GB.  Should I go to 3 GB?  My computer will use the 4 GB?  Or I'm wasting money to no effect?

    Thank you

    Adam

According to HP, your computer can be upgraded to 4 GB total, no need to mess with the BIOS

Hello, I am running Windows 7 32 bit on a computer that has more than 4 GB of RAM (10 GB to be exact), but I understand that Windows 7 32 bits by default can only use 4 GB of RAM. My processor No. Execute (Data Execution Prevention) active and PAE (physical address Extension) also active. Although it seems that EAP is that the rest of my RAM visible and not usable (which makes me question why something as useless as that would be understood as a feature). Is there anyway I can get Windows 7 is therefore able to use all of my RAM? I would prefer a solution that won't let my totally unstable system but nothing will work.

Upgrading to a 64-bit operating system would increase significantly the amount of memory available. See the link for Windows memory limits below.

  • Hello, my HP a6500f pc. 500 GB, 4096 ram.vista 64-bit freezes and unresponsive

    Hello

As the test of memory produces an error, I would propose to remove one of the memory modules (I believe that the PC has 2 x 2 GB Modules) and see if you still get this freezing problem.  If you do, try the same Module, but in the other slot on the motherboard.  If the problem persists, try the same procedure but with just the other module inserted Ram - see if all these combinations will allow the PC to function normally.

The procedure to access the Ram Modules can be found on the link below.
