Surface Pro 2 & CS4 problems

OK... I own a pro 2 surface and used my Creative Suite 4 Design Premium on this unit only.

My problem is that I have updated to windows 10 and crossed a factory reset a few hours later. Now I'm trying to re - install my CS4 as I did in the past, but now my code says it is already in use on another device. This confuses me because for a while I use CS4 on this unit only.

Any ideas how I can re - install CS4 on my computer?

PS my CS4 is a copy paper, not digital.

PPS. Hey Adobe, I'll trade you my copy for an upgrade.

It seems that the PS is a not turn off when you did the upgrade. You will have to contact Adobe to reset your license. This isn't a problem with CC.

  • U2414H - problem with Surface Pro 3

This has been a constant problem. We have a number of these monitors and we have a user with a Surface Pro 3 problems where every few weeks or so, one of his monitors will stop running.  Usually after swapping the monitor with another, he will work for a few weeks and then stops again.  The user has a docking station of Surface that we had originally two monitors connected in Garland for the DisplayPort. The user wants to add a third U2414H, but we could never that daisy chain on the other.  The user has added a diamond USB adapter which used DisplayLink and we had three monitors working.  Now, this week he came in and one of the monitors connected DisplayPort adapter does not work.  All three are U2414H and we exchanged out them with other U2414H monitors we have in our office to try to make them work.  Are there rules that we must follow to prevent them to stop constantly working with the surface?  Is this a problem of windows 8?  Thank you.

Apology. I just see this answer. You did it ensure 1.2 DP was off when you have tested the underside of short term solution?

    Problem =
    * When the SP3 is anchored and double are connected using DisplayPort multistreaming (daisy chain), one or two screens will not be recognized after restart or power cycling the SP3. In both cases, the resulting no video appearing on external displays.
    * Some displays will expose rip video on the secondary display, what installation using DisplayPort multistreaming (daisy chain).
    * A view not to return to video mode displayed after recovering from power save mode.

    Workaround short term =
SP3 Dock CDM on--> Dell mDP to DP cable--> #1 off DP (DP 1.2) monitor
CDM SP3 on--> Dell mDP to DP cable--> #2 off DP (DP 1.2) monitor

    Long term = solution
Microsoft is aware of the issue with their dock. They are developing a dongle special connector to the dock that works with the process of formation of link to boost the signal strength has negotiated with external monitors. As to when this will be available in September. Note the dongle won't be available in stores. You should open a case with Microsoft and show them that the problem occurs when you connect directly to the dock AMD and using double monitors in a DP 1.2 Garland of STD. They will then send you the dongle. I've heard other customers of this front line support Microsoft has not yet heard this dongle. Then wait until September to contact them.

  • Major display problem with Audition CS5.5 on Surface Pro 4 Tablet

    Hi people,

I just got a new Microsoft Surface Pro 4 tablet, so I can edit on the go more easily than with my old laptop. I use Audition CS5.5, because I am a podcaster and radio producer, and it works wonderfully for these tasks. Unfortunately, when I installed hearing on this new tablet, I discovered a major compatibility issue. All text and buttons display so small that the program is essentially unusable.

Adobe Audition on a Surface Pro 4.png

I tried to play with the display settings on the Surface, but they seem to have no effect on hearing. Even when I get the settings "change the size of the text, apps and other elements ' maximum, it has no effect on how the hearing poster (even if she handicap other programs).

So I tried contacting Adobe via Facebook, and everything they said it was "Hi Chris, see if this article helps you to: . http://bit.LY/24jts28 "Thanks , ^ KM. Which I linked to an article from Microsoft. When I went through the troubleshooting process, however, he suggested 1) the same thing, I tried 2) communicating with Adobe or 3) buy the new version of the hearing.

Adobe Audition 'troubleshooting' on a Surface Pro 4.png

And earlier I tried calling technical support and they told me that they don't offer phone support for tablets.

I am extremely frustrated. I love this piece of software and it would be ridiculous to pay a monthly subscription for the new version just change the display settings. Was Adobe really this careless with the design of this product, and they have now abandoned it? What can I do to solve this problem?

    Thanks for any help.

    -Chris

Support should not consider the 4 Surface Pro tablet, from a support perspective, it's a PC.  I'm sorry to hear that you who were respected.

Richard is correct, in CS5.5 we simply don't HiDPI screens on the piece of road, and you will probably find that's true with many Adobe applications since that time.

In addition, as Richard has pointed out, in recent versions we did some work to support HiDPI screens as well as some of the capabilities of the touch Surface.  Here are two tweets I sent to a customer showing on my personal 3 Surface Pro:

  • Problems with the pen of the Surface Pro 3 in Photoshop CS6

I used photoshop CS6 without any problem on my old computer that was connected to a graphics tablet.

However, I recently bought a new computer windows called Surface Pro 3. Everything works perfectly with the trackpad and touch, but I had some problems with the pen of Surface.

The feather can if support on the Web, but every time I click on something on any windows with the pen, the whole application hangs and I have to click on the task bar of the computer down to unlock the application.

It is impossible to work like this. Is there a solution for this problem? It is said that the version of photoshop I have is Adobe Photoshop Version: 13.1.2

If you have Photoshop CS6 version 13.1.2, which is the version of subscription to Photoshop, you shoule Isstall Photoshop CC 2014 on your surface Pro 3.  It will work smoothly on the surface Pro 3 and you will also have the option have to use Photoshop CC 2014 preference 2 x UI to Photoshop UI scaling upward in size on your Surface Pro 3.

If you have not a subscription perpetual windows CS6 version should be version 13.0.1.3.  In this case the only way to scale Photoshop UI must have windows do. You need to update your registry windows 8.1 database and add an external Photoshop manifest file in your folder of Photoshop CS6.  For Surface Pro 3 pen to work with Photoshop, you must install the device drivers for the NTig the wintab API support pen.

  • HP OfficeJet 200 series Mobile: 3 Surface Pro WIndows 10 - can't re eastablish wi - fi direct connection

    Hello

We managed to connect our Surface Pro 3 Windows 10 running on a mobile printers HP OfficeJet 200 series using a Wi - Fi Direct connection not wireless. The problem is that whenever we turn the printer off or go to sleep Surface pro cannot re esatablish of connection with the printer again after on. In the device and printers OfficeJet 200 is still there but greyed out and has a status to be offline even if the printer has been for a while.

The only way to connect it must make the entire process of reconnection to the Wi - Fi direct connection, for example by typing in the code and wait to see the device is connected. It should not this printer to establish a connection with the surface pro automatically after power on, yet the pro Surface shows that the printer is offline and I know that I had direct Wi - Fi together to establish the connection automatically. Is there a solution for this.

The problem only occurs when the printer stops and he must turn it off to save battery because what get out us them for field work.

We discovered that the Wi - Fi Direct is not fully supported in Windows 10. The only way you can reconnect to Wi - Fi direct is if you connect to the printer that you connect to an access point Wi - Fi. If you do this your Wi - Fi direct printer connection will be reset. The downside is that your Surface Pro 3 will lose the internet connection.

For us, that our solution is not to use Wi - Fi direct and use the Wi - Fi function. We connected the mobile series HP OfficeJet 200 to our iPhone hot spot and we also connected the Surface Pro iPhone hotspot. Whenever we connect our tablet to the hotspot, we can use the printer because the printer is always connected to the HotSpot.

  • Unable to connect after the most recent firmware for Microsoft Surface Pro 3 update

Hi, I upgraded my Surface Pro to Windows 10 2... had no problems connecting to R7000 on band 5G. After upgrade the R7000 firmware to the latest version (V1.0.4.30_1.1.67), I now have problems connecting on the band of 5 G. Tablet must be adjacent to the router to connect on 5G band however once connected is connection is kept at distance (about 50 feet). However if I choose the 2.4GH I have no problem in establishing the initial connection to a distance of band. Did someone else has this problem and is there a solution?

    Thank you!

Thanks a bunch, I went through all the processes of 'Factory Reset' and which certainly did not help. I took your advice and your instructions on return to 1.0.4.28 and it worked like a charm!

I am now my Surface automatically compressed to a distance of 50 feet or more, through 3 walls on my terrace (as far as I dared so far) no problemo!

With the latest firmware, I had to be sitting next to the router. The latest firmware is really baaad!

    Thank sagain for your help!

  • OfficeJet pro 8500 a: error Surface pro 3 when printing on HP printers

I bought a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 to replace my laptop. I loved except that I can't have the network printer as my old laptop. Because I'm stuck using your printer app, it has been a disaster. I get the error messages. The application can not find my documents, and then I get the error messages. Documents are partially printed, or I get a message that the printer is offline. Y at - it a patch or fix for this problem?

    Hello @manon1,

Welcome to the forums of HP.

I understand that you are experiencing problems printing from your Surface Pro 3.

    I would like to help.

What I learned from the series Surface Pro, is that they are running a full version of the windows operating system.

This means that unlike the RT versions, you can install the software.

You should be able to install the same software that you can install on a laptop or desktop computer.

This would make it so that you don't need to use the application.

  • Daisy chaining 2 U2414H to Surface Pro 3

A month ago I bought an i7 Pro 3 Surface and a week ago I bought 2 monitors Dell U2414H more than 2 cables of Startech (HB miniDP2) and DP2DP.  I plugged the miniDP2DP at the entrance of the first monitor and then the DP2DP cable to the output port of the first monitor in the inlet of the second monitor.  I figured that miniDP to the Docking Station is not compatible extension so I plugged it on the Tablet miniDP.

I can't get the two Dell monitors act as screens 2 and 3. When I select to extend the display, if I disable the DisplayPort 1.2 on the first monitor (via the menu settings-> DisplayPort display-> enable / disable) I can get the screen 3 is a 2 screenshot, but if I put it on Enable, screen 3 is empty.  When I change screen 2 setting back to activate, I get a warning message that I need to make sure that the graphic card supports STD / DisplayPort 1.2.

I checked the graphics driver and firmware for the monitors and the Surface Pro 3. I tried the two cables provided with the monitors, all to nothing does not.  I called technical support from Microsoft and Dell technical support time and both tell me that their components work fine, it's a problem with it product of another company.

I've seen several posts on this site but I haven't seen a good response to my problem.  Someone out there who has had this problem and found a solution?

  • P2815Q, U2412M, Surface Pro 3 + Dock. Flickering U2412M

Hello - my setup below =

-Surface Pro 3 (i7, intel hd 5000 video) - connected to surface P2815Q pro 3 dock mini DisplayPort / on monitor (display size full port)

-Monitor P2815Q 4 k (surface pro 3 dock - using display port output daisy chain U2412M)

-Monitor U2412m (connected via the displayport P2815Q display port out)

My first question was that I could not display port on the P2815Q of work - until I chose the menu on the monitor and the displayport 1.2 setting turned on.  Now the output on the P2815Q dp port feeds the U2412M.

Now, my problem is that when I remove the surface and re-dock - the U2412M sparkles. I can solve the problem of flicker by unplugging the power cord of the U2412M (last of the closed string) and plug back. It's almost as if there is some type of sync problem.

    Any thoughts or ideas?
    Any help is appreciated!

    Thank you

  • U3011, No 2560 x 1600 using apple CDM CDM Surface Pro 2 and DVI to DVI?

Question: Is it true that the only way to get to 2560 x 1600 on the U3011 via the DisplayPort connection? This seems to be my experience. I have a MacBook Pro 15 of retina and a Surface Pro 2. Each of them will connect to the U3011 and provide 2560 x 1600 if and only if the DisplayPort monitor connection. When I try to connect via the DVI - D dual link brand cables off the max 1600 x 1200 resolution. VGA even go higher than that. But not the DVI - D, even tried different cables. (I can't find not the DVI - D cable supplied with the monitor.) Anyway, this seems to demonstrate that the question is not a driver problem, because it is compatible on Mac and Windows - computers that run the latest drivers and updates to the OS. Here'S THE BEST: the MANUAL provides 2560 x 1600 is available on BOTH DVI and DisplayPort inputs digital signal. Anyone can shed some light on this? Thank you

Let me guess... you use one of the mini from Apple DisplayPort to DVI connectors to connect the display to your computer?

It is $ 99, one model dual link DVI (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB571Z/A/mini-displayport-to-dual-link-dvi-adapter) or standard (single link) model (http://store.apple.com/us/product/M9321G/B/apple-mini-dvi-to-dvi-adapter)?

You need double link to get more than 1920 x 1200 on DVI - and each DP dual link DVI adapter is active (and therefore expensive). The screen is fine, in fact I type these lines very on just using DVI screen just what the resolution of 2560 x 1600.

Unless it has a USB port to the power adapter, you will not get the full resolution - which is not a limitation of the display, but a limitation of the DP to DVI adapters.
