Swf object Center on my index.template.html page

Simple question is, how do I Center my swf file on my index.template.html page? One of my css definitions do not work. Do I have to use the basic html table element or what?. I also need to set the background image for my <>application but definition background-repeat will not work.

It's not what I'm looking for: http://cookbooks.adobe.com/post_How_to_horizontally_center_a_Flex_application_in_a-11467.h tml

I downloaded and extracted the zip, run main html in IE 8.0 - see attached... works like a charm

  • Is there a way that Captivate 8 swf format can take focus when the html page loading?

I am trying to create a project to 8 Captivate user can navigate using the keyboard or the PlayBar. I added buttons to slides with Page Up and Page Down shortcut keys, but the keyboard commands do not work until the user gave focus to the swf file by clicking in it, is there a way for the swf file take the focus automatically when loading? I tried changing the setting wmode to "opaque", but has not made a difference.

Or are there keys or key combinations that will work even if the SWF is not developed?

Captivate has already an update script to throw. You can try adding the onload of body. Add the script to the head section

then add the function in the body:

  • How can I Center the objects on the html page flash?

    Hello

So thanks to a few other users on this forum, I understand how to resize my content to shape tween without breaking the Bank.

Also, I came across a way to center the flash on the scene objects. I use the "edit multiple images" button in the timeline, and then select all and reposition.

    It's pretty easy.

However, when I do a preview publish and zoom in and zoom out (by command-/ +, on my Mac)... something doesn't seem quite right. My content do not stay in the Center and become more small, like most of the other sites, but rather it shrinks to the upper left corner. When I resize my window in fact, content does not meet the size of the screen and the Center itself, but instead gets cut! What I am doing wrong? Also miss me a scroll bar on the page!

Is there a real html editor in Flash?

    Thank you very much!

Zoom is a moving target. Browser engines to implement in different ways. If you try to make a site 100% height-to-width SWF then technically a zoom is not a resizing and cannot trigger the resize event at all (it should not). But I don't want to speculate until I know if you try to first make a site SWF height and a width of 100%.

If this isn't the case, then CSS can also not responded to zoom in, for the same reasons. You use CSS to Center your SWF object?

No Flash is not an HTML editor built in but there are tons of free software that can highlight HTML syntax or even help with code completion, if you do not have Adobe Dreamweaver. Aptana is a very popular free HTML editor with code completion. Often, I use FlashDevelop just for code coloring and easy passage of a variety of types of codes (AS2, AS3, XML, HTML, etc.).

  • Multiples. SWF in a HTML page

    Hi all

I am trying to display several objects .swf into an html page.  The first object of .swf plays very well, but the other does not.  I've looked everywhere for the answer, but I don't know what to do (Besides, I'm a Flash noob).  My page is http://users.wpi.edu/~cdaley_jw/animation.html, please do not hesitate to consult my code.

Dreamweaver tells me that swfobject.registerObject exist, or something like that, but I see that this code which is used elsewhere.  Swfobject.js in my main folder, too.  I don't have any idea what I'm missing.

    Thank you very much

    Chris

If you use the FLVPlayback component, using a relative address should not be a problem. Click on the component when it is on the stage and in the Panel properties, parameters, set the path of the WEB PAGE containing the .swf in the .flv file in the section "contentPath".

Since you have the .flv in the same folder as the Web page, the relative path is:

    Daley_Christopher_Walk_Cycle.FLV

Although not necessary, the absolute path is:

    http://users.WPI.edu/~cdaley_jw/Daley_Christopher_Walk_Cycle.FLV

    Good luck!

  • Display layout of the table breaks after the insertion of SWF object

With the help of Flash Pro CS4/Windows Vista:

I have a tabular presentation that breaks apart in Firefox, leaving gaps between cells after inserting a SWF file.

I inserted the file using the Insert > media > SWF in Dreamweaver and downloaded the SCRIPTS folder command.

When I remove the SWF object, the file is displayed perfectly (with an empty cell, where the SWF object should appear)

    The SWFobject is narrower than the cell that contains 2 pixels (cell: 227w X 146 h;)  SWF 225w X 146 h)

You can see the problem in Firefox at http://theflightsofmarceau.com/series.htm

I look forward to solutions - thank you.

Add this in theof your html page

It will work, I've tested it.

  • the link swf to html pages

Hi I'm new to DW/FLA, so this may be simple but I can't understand it. I have a swf embedded on my index.html page. It has 4 images on it, and when each image is reversed, it changes. I coded it through Flash successfully. In addition to the reversal, I need to have each image link to a separate html page (home.html, about.html, contact.html, etc.). I tried getURL, but as "home.html" is not www.home.com/home.html, it doesn't seem to work. This site is not live yet so I don't have web URL link to.

Can anyone help me please with this code. FYI, the SWF is AS2.

In Flash, you'll need to each image a link to your Web site absolute URL.  Where votre_domaine.fr is the name of your current web site.  And home.html is the default index page required by your host server.

    http://your_domain.com/

    http://your_domain.com/about.html

    http://your_domain.com/contact.html

  • Video SWF is invisible in html page

    Hello world

I am currently working on a site that uses a video gallery of xml. The swf file points to an xml document that lists the miniatures and their respective, all flv files the

referring to a folder called video gallery. I use swfobject to embed the flash file in my html doc. In an attempt to clean-up my files, I was moving files

Thus, the directory structure has changed. For reasons beyond me, the SWF gallery now refuses to display in my html doc. It is invisible, but I know it's there, as I

can right-click the area and the menu flash will pop up.

It drives me crazy. I am sure that this is not a security problem, I knew my local as swf file being approved in the global security settings. I checked many times that

My relative paths are correct, they are. What confirms this, that's when I publish the swf file in flash, load the Gallery, which works 100%. However, when this swf

file is placed in my html doc, it becomes invisible. The really strange thing is if I move these files on ftp, they work perfectly. I've heard many cases where flash

files of work locally, but not online. I have the opposite problem. The original structure of dir, had the swf, html, swfobject in the root directory, the docs xml in the scripts directory, and

all content in the folder of the video gallery. It seems to me that this video gallery special xml doesn't like me dicking autour with folders. The new directory

structure works online, but not in offline mode, so I'm at a complete loss as to why this is. I repeat - I added the swf file to the trusted locations in my security

Parameters. Anyone have any idea, what happens?

Based on the structure that comes from you show, you change how the swf target xml file.  As I said, it must act as if it was in the html file when it is in the xml file.

    xmlData.load("scripts/content.xml");

If the swf file loads also images or other files specified by the xml file, then this targeting may need to be adjusted as well.

  • Help! My site Web 'WILL not' my new index.html page!

As the title of this post, I have created a new index.html page and had deleted the original. How to re - connect my site using the new homepage index.html?

I thought about it. It came to an end due to the change of my documents to the new drive. (and screw to the top of passwords for ftp on my end). It automatically recognizes the file index.html as my home page.

Thank you thank you thank you! I learned something from this experience.

  • Function similar to the States of SWF objects in interactive PDF format

Is it possible, through the use of maybe text anchors and hyperlinks, to perform a function similar to the States of SWF objects in an interactive PDF?  I hope that there is a clever way to allow end users to press a button that could hide/show page content in an interactive PDF file.  I have experimented with a number of things without success and was curious to know if the users of the forum know a solution.

    See you soon,.

    Steve

You must use the functions of hide show with buttons. Not nearly simple as WHO, but it works.

The content that would be show/hide would need to be converted into buttons to make it work.

  • Help a SWF link to HTML pages please!

Hello and thank you for your time , read this. I try to use a .swf for a navagation button in a Web site I've created, but I'm running into a bit of a problem. I need to know how to code the button (Flash) so that they link to my specific .html page. Is this possible to do with a realitive link? Thanks again for your time!

I have no way of knowing if this is a correct relative address, even if your slashes are not in the right direction for the implementation of web...------versus.

  • Making a swf to wait until the rest of the HTML page is ready?

I have a site with a common SWF embedded at the top of each page and then regurlar HTML graph/text content below it.

I expect that the SWF file can be a little late for it load the rest of the page would appear almost immediately... and that happens from time to time.

However, the only thing that I didn't expect and don't understand, is that sometimes the SWF will appear first and even start to play, but the rest of the page does not appear for a second or two, so I find myself with this SWF floating black film.

Not quite sure what is now the back page, since most graphs are shared and common on every page.  There are a few embedded videos (with frames displays, so they shouldn't take too long to load) on some pages, which are probably the culprits.

What I do not understand (plus, how to optimize pages), that's why the SWF appears and plays, if there is an item in the table that contains all the content of the page.  I thought that the tables displays only once all that is responsible... So, why the SWF would appear before the other items are ready?  I'm assuming that the other (not common) elements are not finished downloading... Although I am starting to suspect that perhaps that they are, and the delay is something else... like the QT embedded in "initializing" or something?

Anyway, I don't think there is a solution here, but I will ask...  Is there a way for SWF waiting for the rest of the page to finish doing anything, it is that is causing the delay?

Strange thing is it's the kind of random...  Sometimes it loads instantly... other times, either the SWF is floating on a black background for a second or two... or the rest of the page appears, and this is the SWF file that is overdue.

Does anyone have advice, words of wisdom, or pieces of trivia that could be useful here?

As far as I know, you can't really control how to load an html page.   Things find a route faster than others.  Requests arriving on the server and things delivered by any way they can.  Some things are made in the local cache, so there is always a risk that certain elements are readily available despite their size, and other tiny things get caught up in travel.

First of all, the size of the screen is never the same as the size of the browser to not use if
you want to keep the proportions when scaling your files and do not distort the
content. Keep in mind that the browser has its chrome all around, more grand, being on top
of the screen (navigation), bar State and borders on the left and right sides.
Second, always resize movie to the top, never down. While the scaling of movie you able to
Keep your text, not the case when you descale movies especially with small text.
who become illegible. Then you make movies in (example) 600 x 400 and intensify their
    instead.

To fill the browser window, go to file - publish setting and on the HTML tab
change the PIXEL size of PERCENT and set 100% x 100% - publish.
Open the published html document recently opened in your favorite HTML editor, such as Notepad.
Dreamweaver and Frontpage, adjust the margins up, down, left and
right to zero pixel. This will make it fill the window entirely. Flash is
    not give this possibility.
