We had already made several reboots. I chose the option ignore. The same problem exists. Then, I uninstalled LR and reinstalled the download. After a successful installation, the same problem exists. There was an another "pending restart message" once again, I ignored that I had stopped and restarted before the reinstall. Still have the problem.

  1. If I create a recovery disc in the current state of the computer to have Win 7 Pro loaded, format the hard drive and then try to reinstall the OS from the recovery disk, which will load OS - Vista or Win 7 Pro?

  2. see question 1 - it is the best way to offer a new beginning for the system with a reformat and reinstall OS, or is there a better solution?  As I said, I don't have a recovery for the Vista operating system disk.

  Yes I have FIOS Media Manager installed, but I've done since the start of Windows 7.  For the first week or so it does not start on my download restarts.  It started with this Nov 3 update from Microsoft.  I went to downloads and there were two of them; Update for Internet Explorer 8 for x 64 based and updated Windows Defender definition.
