SWF to exe aw7 - crashing in Vista
I created a CBT product that integrates the different scenes (swf). It works fine under XP and earlier versions, but when it is deployed to Vista that it experiences random crashes while playing the different swf. By chance, I mean: once, it can be routed all the scenes perfectly, but to re - entry of it can stop partially by the 2nd swf or next time halfway through the 1st or 5th.It is an error that is generated:
"Authorware Runtime has stopped working"
Problem event name: APPCRASH
AppName: Mod1.exe
AppVer:7.02.0
Application timestamp: 406171.ea
Fault Module name: FLASHAST. X 32
Fault Module Version: 9.0.0.183
Timestamp of Module error: 3d776de7
Exception code: c0000005
ExceptionOffset: 00095990
OS version: 6.0.6000.2.0.256.6
I tried to replace the FLASHAST. X 32, but it still crashes.
Any suggestions as to why which occur only in the environment of Vista? or what I can do to correct the situation.
Thanks to Steve Howard and Mike Baker, I have now playing in Vista swf movies. Other tests (Steve and I) a simple file using flash support (insert > media > flash animation) and an embedded swf has indicated that the problem is, as Mike suggested,... a buffer of saturation in the Flash Asset Xtra. As suggested, I went to the Flash ActiveX (insert > control > ActiveX (Shockwave Flash Object) and called in the external swf and it now works fine...)
Thanks for the help. It's really appreciated

Portege M400 - Toshiba Flash Cards crashes on Vista
Toshiba Flash Cards crashes on Vista when windows is configured to use the standard color scheme "windows" under appearance settings, (for your information, I prefer to use this mode, vista runs faster, uses less energy and less ram system in this mode).
However, he does not plant immediately, on the contrary, it seems to crash whenever I flip the screen (which happens quite often that I m using a tablet pc) with the version previous software it crashed at startup but which seems to have been fixed with this version, although not completely, but when it blocks it completely will not close even if I force the Task Manager to end the process (rather than just the) Task).

Startup Repair: frequently asked questionsHere are answers to some common questions about startup repair.
What is the Startup Repair?Startup Repair is a Windows Recovery tool that can fix certain problems, such as system files missing or damaged, that might prevent Windows from starting correctly. When you run the Startup Repair, it scans your computer for the problem and then tries to fix it so that your computer can start correctly.
If you experience problems when you attempt to run the Startup Repair tool, or if your computer does not have the Startup Repair, your computer manufacturer can have customized or replaced the tool. See the documentation provided with your computer or go to the manufacturer's Web site.
How to use Startup Repair?Startup Repair is located on the System Recovery Options menu, which is on the Windows installation disc. Startup Repair can also be installed on your drive hard if your computer has preinstalled recovery options. Startup Repair can invite you to make choices as it tries to solve the problem, and if necessary, it may restart your computer, because it makes the repairs.
If you have a Windows installation disc:
Insert the installation disc. If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer.
Restart your computer.
Click the Start button, click the arrow next to the button lock and then click on restart.
Choose your language settings, and then click Next.
Click on repair your computer.
Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
In the System Recovery Options menu, click Startup Repair.
If your computer has preinstalled recovery options:
Remove all floppy disks, CDs and DVDs from your computer and restart your computer.
Click the Start button, click the arrow next to the button lock and then click on restart.
Do one of the following:
If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you need to try again.
If your computer has more than one operating system, use the arrow keys to select the operating system you want to repair, and then press and hold F8.
In the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to highlight repair your computer and press ENTER.
Select a keyboard layout, and then click Next.
Select a user name and password, and then click OK.
In the System Recovery Options menu, click Startup Repair.

For more information, search for "backup" in Help and Support.
What happens if startup repair is unable to solve my problem?If the repairs are not successful, you will see a summary of the problem and links to contact for support information. Your computer manufacturer may include additional support information.

Binding files SWF or exe?
I need help with a Flash AS3 project that includes about 30 videos. I need to break it into small pieces, because this is a large file (more than 300 MB) and whenever I wanted to publish the flash of the whole project crashed.
Here is my test:
I have two exe files which should link back.
Intro_YIM.exe, which has a button that links to Videos_FrontPage_YIM.exe
Here is my code, which is in the Intro (the name of the button = nav_4).
nav_4.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, gotoVideoFront);
function gotoVideoFront(event:MouseEvent):void {}
var url: String = "Videos_FrontPage_YIM.exe";
var request: URLRequest = new URLRequest (url);
try {}
navigateToURL (request, "_self");
} catch (error) {}
trace ("Error occurred!");
}
}Problem:
The link seems to work, but there is a message that says save or run. When I click on run, there is another message that says that the file cannot be opened.
Issues related to the:
1. is there a better way to manage the links using executable files using Flash CS5 and AS3?
2. If sovereign wealth funds have been used, how can I have a home page displaying all other SWF files as they are related?
You are welcome.
p.s. Please check the useful/correct, if there is.

TFncKy.exe repeatedly crashing in Windows XP
Hi all
I had a problem with the program TFncKy.exe since I bought my new Satellite M100 approximately a month or two ago. When I log on Windows, this program crashes before I press a key, and without worrying about know if I chose "Send report" or "do not send report", it blocks several times every minute or two.
This problem does not seem to have affected one of the user accounts on the computer, the other works fine.Any ideas on how I can stop what is happening? Would be a help reinstall TFncKy.exe? If so, how could I do that?
Hmm, new user account supports the same rights as other user accounts where the keys FN Toshiba operating properly?
Check this setting and if necessary change the admin rights -
Card Flash (TCrdMain.exe) keeps crashing on Satellite L30
(Running Vista Home Basic on a Satellite L30)
The utility of Flash cards only really works if I use it shortly after the start of my laptop. Often, I want to change the brightness of the machine after I use the machine for an hour or two, but the utility ignores my attempts to move the cursor downwards on the brightness setting or the watch at lowest setting already (when it is in fact to the max).
So far, the only solution I found is to restart the machine! I can't yet to restart programs instead - I can track him in the Manager of tasks and close, just enough... but then double click TCrdMain.exe does nothing and will not reopen the blooming thing.
How can I restart the utility? And, there have been updates to make it a more stable?
AFAIK, you can disable and enable this Toshiba flash Cards under programs-> Toshiba-> Utilities-> settings for Flash cards
Check it maybe it helps.But usually the flash cards service can be enabled and disabled in computer management. Under Services choose the Flash map service and start it again!

Windows Media Center crashes on Vista when you try to play Netflix
I can connect to Netflix and discover my queue and all the rest. I can view the details of the episodes and so forth, but when I click on 'Play', Windows Media Center crashes and restarts itself - every time.
There are other problems in Windows Media Center. Sometimes it freezes during the display of other media, such as Internet TV. I had my computer more than a year, and this is the first time I tried to use Windows Media Center, so I don't know if it worked before.
I tried to find an update for it, but all that I've tried say that it applies to my system. (I always install the automatic updates). I also ran the Fix It program, which says it completed, but which did not help.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Hi farrelldoc,
1. What is the error message you receive library breaks down?
2. did you of recent changes on the computer?
3. what Microsoft fixit did you run on the computer?
There is a known issue on some computers that have a chain very long user agent in Windows Internet Explorer. This problem occurs when the user-agent string exceeds 260 characters. There is currently no work around supported for that matter.
For more information, see the Microsoft article and try the steps mentioned below.
Known issues and limitations of Netflix on Windows Media Center for Windows Vista
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/972496
For the Windows media center crashes when viewing other media issue try the following procedure.
It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.
I suggest that you perform a clean boot and check.
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Reset the computer to start as usual
When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:
(a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
(b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.
(c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.
(d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.
I hope this helps!

This morning I noticed that my Microsoft updates had detected an update for Microsoft Silverlight (KB 2164913). »
So, I advanced and downloaded and installed. But I noticed my Norton security showed that

ran around the same time.
Just checking to make sure that this should have happened (the msiexec.exe have disclosed as having executed) I have just never that seen before what installation monthly microsoft updates or when the other microsoft updates race
Don't know but perhaps because KB2164913 is a Silverlight upgrade, not a status update (e.g. v3.x-4.x Silverlight online-Silverlight).
You could ask in the forum: http://forums.silverlight.net/forums/13.aspx
