  If you only have the trial version of Dreamweaver, you have Flash? And if so, which version? The Dreamweaver trial version is the full version with a limit of 30 days, so the only reason for which I can see for "editing in Flash" is not is down to your version of Flash, or lack of.

  The guide that you referenced is CS5 and CS5.5. It indicates that you should also well Dreamweaver and Flash for this function to work. In addition, this function does not convert swf into fla that was your original question - it allows you to click on the swf file to then open the original FLA in Flash, then allowing you to edit and export in a SWF again.

  To clarify, to make this feature work, you will need:

  • Dreamweaver (CS3 or later)
  • Flash (CS3 or later)
  • The original FLA file

  Currently we need to convert a large amount of SWFs in HTML5, but we are having a few problems... I would have thought that the command convert to other documents that would have helped, but the exit code has major issues with 9Slice.  Whose skins are the basis for the pages themselves.  So, we tried an outside source, called "swiffy" but do not know this and so the title page then becomes the file 'swiffy '... Anyway I think there should be an easy solution for conversion via flash itself... So I'm hoping to find answers regarding this issue... Is this possible in flash? And what are the steps?  I am a designer of trade and the 3d artist, no not so much a script guy... thanks for any help on this

  Oh God No. No no no no no. Just... No.

  HTML5 provides, at best, a subset of what low can do Flash. For all but the most trivial applications, a correct conversion will involve rolling up the sleeves, dig into the FLA original and tempting to map the Flash application which supports HTML5. It is not just a correlation of 1:1 between the two technologies. They use even the same scripting language.

  There are a multitude of tools to convert a pdf to a swf file, but I have found none to do the reverse, while retaining the elements (text, vector images) of the original file. I tried this HowTo, but gets the text that is rendered as vectors (I guess) and I end up with a file that is 2-10 x as large. Any other ideas?

  After all, there is a solution: bundle all SWFs in a .orb using the application of the first link of files and then convert the .orb in .pdf file using the second application. Both applications are from the same developer.

  BTW, .orb searchable files on iPad/iPhone.

  StageWebView is an air 2.5, or the best class.  StageWebView not available for exe or swf embedded in html.

  I have a big problem. I did a second 10 animation in Flash CS5 and exported in a swf file, but my customer asks me one to convert it into a video file with this requirements:

  • Size: HDTV 720 p. Pixels (1280 x 720). 30 FPS. (frames per second)
  • : Stream format: HDV - HD1. Stream type: MPEG-2. Transport

  Stream (TS). Aspect Ratio: 16:9. Britate Type: CBR (Constant flow).

  Number of passes: 1 Video Bitrate: 18300

  I tried some conversion programs to do the job:

  • iWisoft Flash SWF to Video Converter
  • E.M. Magic Swf2Avi
  • Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate 6
  • Total Video Converter HD

  Each one recognizes the SWF very well, (I put in place the FLA with 1280 X 720 pixels and 30 frames per second) but when I try to export to a video format with the earlier specifications using all programs, I get a very slow video, are not smooth at all and sometimes a great video with + 2 minutes (supposed to be only 10 sec). The swf file plays very well.

  Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

  Just open the FLA of original project, file-> export-> AVI movie (uncompressed) and set the dimensions you mentioned. After getting the movie exported from flash, convert that AVI (already the size appropriate) to the size you need.

  If you have the Adobe Suite, then you have Adobe Media Encoder. It supports MPEG2 (HDV - HD1 is just a specific set of parameters for MPEG2). It is really easy to configure. No reason to pay more software if you already have it.

• SWF to EXE

  I downloaded a program to transform my swf files into exe which allows me to have an icon and title. BUT I have a project that I use the ShareObject to write data and after using this program, the data will not be written. Released by using the projector (exe) and it writes the data correctly. But there is no way for me to change the icon or title in the projection file (exe).

  Does anyone have a suggestion on an inexpensive piece of software which allows the data to be written if an exe is done?

  I need help with a Flash AS3 project that includes about 30 videos. I need to break it into small pieces, because this is a large file (more than 300 MB) and whenever I wanted to publish the flash of the whole project crashed.

  2. If sovereign wealth funds have been used, how can I have a home page displaying all other SWF files as they are related?

• SWF to exe aw7 - crashing in Vista

  I created a CBT product that integrates the different scenes (swf). It works fine under XP and earlier versions, but when it is deployed to Vista that it experiences random crashes while playing the different swf. By chance, I mean: once, it can be routed all the scenes perfectly, but to re - entry of it can stop partially by the 2nd swf or next time halfway through the 1st or 5th.

  Thanks to Steve Howard and Mike Baker, I have now playing in Vista swf movies. Other tests (Steve and I) a simple file using flash support (insert > media > flash animation) and an embedded swf has indicated that the problem is, as Mike suggested,... a buffer of saturation in the Flash Asset Xtra. As suggested, I went to the Flash ActiveX (insert > control > ActiveX (Shockwave Flash Object) and called in the external swf and it now works fine...)

  I did almost all of my outings in format exe I specialize in the demo, sim and evaluate software owners and try to recreate the same look and feel for users of my product. Since the posts in this forum, it seems that general preferance is to output SWF. So, could you people please help and let me know what the differences are and if there is a reason to use one format rather than the other?

  . SWF is a good choice if you place your Captivate content up on a web server. In this way, you simply provide a link and your username to watch the movie. If you were to place the. EXE up here, they would always and always be invited with a dialog asking who they would like to do. Run the file from here (and there are often messages informing them how much this can be - depends on the browser) or save the file to their hard drive.

  In general. EXE will be used if you place content on a CD.

  The main difference between the two is that with. SWF, a certain expectation exists. This expectation is that your username has a browser that is equipped to read Flash content. If the browser does not have Flash, they are out of luck. But a very high percentage of browsers are 'capable Flash' these days, so it is not much of a cause for concern.

  With the. EXE to output, a Flash Player is included in the. EXE. So when the. EXE is run by your username, it matter than anything on the Flash PC capable or not, because it is inside of the. EXE. The only issue here is that you have different. Types EXE. (Well, in version 2 of Captivate do you. Apple, LInux, and Windows. Seems that Captivate 3 may have changed the playing field on us again in this regard. All I seem to be able to produce here is a Windows. EXE.)
