  With respect to the 17 MB SWF file, it's a huge file, but you can try exporting as a .mov and convert it in Adobe Media Converter to your needs.

  StageWebView is an air 2.5, or the best class.  StageWebView not available for exe or swf embedded in html.

• SWF to EXE

  I downloaded a program to transform my swf files into exe which allows me to have an icon and title. BUT I have a project that I use the ShareObject to write data and after using this program, the data will not be written. Released by using the projector (exe) and it writes the data correctly. But there is no way for me to change the icon or title in the projection file (exe).

  Does anyone have a suggestion on an inexpensive piece of software which allows the data to be written if an exe is done?

  FYI - you can use the program of the AXIcons icon to open .exe files and replace icons.

  I need help with a Flash AS3 project that includes about 30 videos. I need to break it into small pieces, because this is a large file (more than 300 MB) and whenever I wanted to publish the flash of the whole project crashed.

  Here is my test:

  I have two exe files which should link back.

  Intro_YIM.exe, which has a button that links to Videos_FrontPage_YIM.exe

  The link seems to work, but there is a message that says save or run. When I click on run, there is another message that says that the file cannot be opened.

  2. If sovereign wealth funds have been used, how can I have a home page displaying all other SWF files as they are related?

• SWF to exe aw7 - crashing in Vista

  I created a CBT product that integrates the different scenes (swf). It works fine under XP and earlier versions, but when it is deployed to Vista that it experiences random crashes while playing the different swf. By chance, I mean: once, it can be routed all the scenes perfectly, but to re - entry of it can stop partially by the 2nd swf or next time halfway through the 1st or 5th.

  Thanks to Steve Howard and Mike Baker, I have now playing in Vista swf movies. Other tests (Steve and I) a simple file using flash support (insert > media > flash animation) and an embedded swf has indicated that the problem is, as Mike suggested,... a buffer of saturation in the Flash Asset Xtra. As suggested, I went to the Flash ActiveX (insert > control > ActiveX (Shockwave Flash Object) and called in the external swf and it now works fine...)

  Use the flash pro program to open the fla that was used to create the swf file, and then click orders > export under the spotlight.

• CP4 Help! Clickbox do not open external URLS in SWF, but works in EXE :(

• Question: Can I determine if my project is running in the SWF or HTML5?

  I created a project as the SWF and HTML5 to run on different computers based Office Windows.

  In the project, I want to identify if the project is running in SWF or HTML.

  I looked at the system variables and can see that he has cpInfoIsStandalone to indicate if the project is SWF or EXE.

  But I don't see how I can identify if the project is SWF or HTML 5.

  Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

• SWF referencing other files - combine?

  Recently, I used a program that converts a pdf file in a flash "flipbook" animation and exports as .swf or .exe. However, my problem is that when you export as .swf, it exports the frame/player and he calls movie.swf, it creates also 2 folders.  1 is called images, that each page of the pdf as a .swf and also a jpeg thumbnail.  The other file is called file and search xml etc in there.

  When the movie.swf is located in the directory with the other files, it loads the other pages, etc.  However, if you move the movie.swf to another location, it does not load anything, it shows the frame/player only.  (I guess it's because it's referencing other files internally)

  My question is, is it possible to convert this into a swf, which still has the feature click on pages to switch etc.

  If you have only a swf (or exe) you can not change it.

• DMG/exe vs adobe air app

  I tried to post a dmg, and I guess that the behavior of the exe would be the same.  I couldn't find a way to include files that are linked through the Loader() method.  If I publish this both adobe AIR application settings give me an option to add a list of files or one by one or by adding a folder.

  So the question is how do I get charged to include in my published dmg (Macintosh) of the SWF / application exe (Windows) file?

  I managed to find a number of them, and to set a little myself with JavaScript. They include the SWF and EXE games. If someone wants to know about them, let me know and I'll send them an e-mail to you.

• Auto run video out with selectable content?

  I have knowledge of Captivate but not enough to confirm or not the request I received is an option in Captivate - I do not know if there is some specific words/language that I use to help find the answers.

  Basically, we will produce five 3-minute videos with different features of our software. Demand that we got is to combine all of those in a single file that allows someone to choose to play the part or all of the segments. So for starters, you would open the video, see the table of contents with five segments, pick two or three, that you want to see and click on play, and he would play only those two or three instead of all 5.

  I expect there are other ways to do that-via Javascript and JQuery, for example - but I thought I would ask if all power users on the forum who happened to know if this kind of functionality is available through Captivate?

  (we use Captivate 7 if that makes a difference, but if it is available in a future release, it would be good to know also).

  You mention this is 'auto run' output.  When we see that in the world of Captivate we usually think that you are referring to an output of EXE format. It is basically the same as the output SWF but runs in its own window, without the need of a browser.

  -What are you looking for?

  With SWF or EXE, I would say study you your publication as SWF modules and then use the aggregator that comes with Captivate to group them together in a single EXE that shows all the topics under one Table of contents on the side.  This will be your simplest solution.

  I wouldn't actually inform you need the viewer make a first selection of what topics they want to play in order.  I think this is probably exaggerated. Just to let the viewer click on the items in the table of contents they are interested, they are stir-fried to the first slide of these topics.

  However, if you don't have your heart set on having the user pre-select what topics to play in order, then I recommend you just copy all five subjects blades in the same CPTX, implemented a menu slide at the beginning of the year where the viewer can designate what subjects they want to see and a button to launch the game.  This solution will require that you use Variables and conditional shares advanced to control what topics and then playing and get ignored those who.

  All these things are possible with Captivate 7 features, but Cp9 has a lot of good things, too.

• MP4 does not work in Windows Media Player

  I'm working on a project that has videos on built-in slides.

  When I save the project as a swf or exe file, it works fine. I need as an mp4. When I try to record it in a mp4, it works on a mac computer, but not on a Windows computer. I tried on Windows 7 and Windows 8. On Windows 7, I get a message saying "Windows Media Player has stopped working". On Windows 8, the message says "element not found."

  Some Captivate mp4s works; others do not. I don't understand what the difference is. Videos seem to better operate the videos embedded in the slides.

  I use 6 Captivate. I create projects on Windows 7.
