Switch SF300 trunk with a 3750

Is it possible to stem a SF300 switch with a 3750 switch?  If so, how?  Whenever I turn on the 3750 trunking port I lose connection to the SF300.

I'd appreciate any help, thank you

Larnel

Hi Larnel,

You can do so by setting the 3750 for 802. 1 q ecapsulation on the trunk port, set it vlan native and wait for VLAN throughout. On the SF300, you must run the same process create the trunk port, enable the VLAN and set the PVID to match the VLAN native on the 3750 trunk interface. To do this, you will need from your VLAN pre-configured on both switches. Hope this helps you.

    My setup as below

I have 8 VLANs set up in SF300 (SVI with ip address)

ISIT possible to configure the server dhcp and how can I apply the access list to restrict with other VLAN.

    Advancely thank you.

Hello, yes you can use an external DHCP server, and depending on what you use, it supports more than one scope. A lot of free programs don't support multiple DHCP scopes.

  • What is the best HDMI switch for use with Apple tv 4

What is the best HDMI switch for use with Apple tv 4. I heard some do not work and the automatic switch has problems because Apple tv is still using power?

I installed on a cutting and not because the automatic switch works because it isn't always. It came with a remote control that is almost as good, so don't mind the fact that automatic switching does not work well. The reason why I chose cutting is because it was the first device that gave me the good picture and sound quality with my AppleTV, the Xbox 360 and the PS4. (Don't ask!)

Hello. Why is always faster download speed when I check the speed u switch broadband compared with BT Speedtest? My ISP is BT. Thank you. Brian

    Hi Brian,.
I recommend you to get in touch with the Internet Service Provider (ISP) for more information on this issue, because the Internet speed depends on their service.

I bought Adobe Elements with my camera.  Can I switch to Lightroom with some type of credit for the purchase, I already have?

I don't think that there is any such path upgrade to Lightroom. Lightroom can work with Photoshop Elements or Photoshop as a complementary product to improve and provide features that are not possible in Lightroom itself. For example, with Lightroom, it is extremely difficult if not impossible to remove unwanted objects from an image. Or, there may be sometimes a few necessary dusting that Lightroom cannot do just effectively on its own. If Lightroom offers an easy way to move from Photoshop or Photoshop Elements image in order to more easily accomplish some of these specialized tasks.

    Do not worry!

Existing Web sites will open initially as 'fixed' (unfounded) and the only difference that you will discover is that your Adaptive for office, Tablet and phone versions are now called 'alternative layouts' and can be found under the menu on the Page. (The familiar buttons in the map view will be displayed only if there is already an Adaptive provision, be careful not to confuse users who want just a reactive trace.) In fact, you can combine presentations reactive and adaptive, fluid and all! Just beware that as of now, the effects of roll and some widgets may not be used in a fluid page.

  • Distributed Virtual Switch supporting guests with different numbers of natachasery

Our environment has had the same ESXi host model for some time. Each has interfaces from 2 to 10 GB for the traffic of the virtual machine. We use a virtual switch distributed with 2 uplinks. Now, we stand at a new environment where there are 2 types of hosts. (1) a small workload ESXi host with interfaces of 2 to 10 GB and (2) a large load of work sESXI host with 4 to 10 GB interfaces. They are seperasted in 2 groups (large and small workload workload).

I had planned to share a Distributed Switch between the 2 groups, so I could move freely between them according to the needs. The only distinction of level of ESXi host is the power of horse and the I/O bandwidth (storage and networks VM will be used will be the same). It dawned on me that the distributed switch is configured with a particular number of uplinks. I'm trying to picture how this will work in this situation? I thought that I create a vSwitch distributed with 4 uplinks and finish by only using 2 of these uplinks when adding a small amount of work ESXi host to it. This is a valid configuration. Should I disable or do something special with the uplinks unused? I have not met this configuration so I wanted some tips on the correct configuration.

I have validated this configuration as described previously. A dVS with 4 uplinks can take care of the guests with "up to" 4 interfaces. Hosts with only 2 interfaces will have 2 of the 4 links rising dVS associated with natachasery while the other 2 will remain unused. In my case, I decided to use the uplink 1 and 2. Uplinks 3 and 4 are not used with these hosts.

  • Linking the two switches SF300-8 and gvrp

After passing the age trying to propagate VLAN one SF300 to another, I think that I finally did it.  It seems that we must implement the GVRP Protocol on both sides of the trunk AND manually create the VLAN on the slave switch.  Now I can ping machines on the two switches that share the same VLAN successfully.

However; If I try and ping a machine on the passage of the slave from outside in the VLAN, which is a connection routed the master switch, it fails, succeeds the ping of a machine on the main switch.

    What I am doing wrong?

Hi Nigel, GVRP is basically a terrible (and useless) Protocol.

GVRP not to dispose of anything, unless it is predefined to what it can affect, the manually fresh General requirements is greater than the configuration comes actually port.

Configuring you mentioned basically tells me that you built manually the trunk as vlan 1 UNTAG, tag 11 and 42. The GVRP Protocol should do it for you if it is properly implemented.

To work successfully the port GVRP must send the GVRP join messages, the interface of the receiver must be configured to receive the join messages and then the database of VLAN switch advertising must have these VLANS constructed/defined manually as they are underway in the messages...

If you need using the configuration, do not hesitate to post what is your goal, I'm sure I or someone can help you if you provide a network, the schema and configuration files.

Is there a way to check why the hosts on 141 VLAN are joined not successfully?  port-profile on the 1000V configuration of vlan 140 and vlan 141 rising and vmkernel are identical, except for the different numbers vlan.

    Thank you

    Hi Trevor,

Once the quick thing to check would be the config igmp for both VLAN.

where did you configure the interrogator for the vlan 140 and 141?

are there changes in transport VXLAN crossing routers? If so you would need routing multicast enabled.

    Thank you!

  • Connect 2 switches SG200-26 with two VLANS separated

    B "H".

Well, I'm going to cry uncle and ask the community of cisco to help here... Here's what I'm trying to accomplish.  I have two cabinets in a data center with four available cross connect cables.  I want to put in place two discrepancies between the two switches which will each be a vlan through to the other.   My vlan by default contains all my servers on it (10.0.0.0/8) and my backup vlan (192.168.200.0/24) will only be used for data backups and iscsi traffic.  For the moment, I have a cable connecting the two switches and it works very well for the vlan by default.  When I add a second cable and set it on vlan 200, no matter what I try settings it just does not pass traffic.  I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, stupidly, but well, I never claimed to be a networking expert, that's why I'm here asking for help!

I have made several attempts to get the second connection works, marked, unmarked, trunk, access, etc.  Can someone be tell me is this the real solution, or point me to the documentation, so I can solve this problem?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello Yitz'har,

SG 200 switch does not support EMU, PVST and PVST +. None of the products of small businesses currently support any proprietary protocol which is not IEEE or equivalent. The exception to this idea is COP which was added about 18 months in the LWA 1.1 releases to better integrate voice, onplus solutions and interact with business networks.

Work that we discussed yetserday in your case is to disable the covering tree generally define the bpdu filtering.

  • the need to increase the speed of the network on my vpshere 4.1 with cisco 3750

    Hello

Must I increase now my network speed on my esxi vpshere 4.1 my switch cisco 3750.  the rdp on the erp application is now affected with speed.  What would be the best solution on this?  each host on my vpshere have two NICs for the network of the vm and vmotion.  each network adapter is 1 G and cisco 3750 is the bandwidth of 1 G.

Add multiple NICs for vmotion separated and the vm network?  do all the network adapters in vm network stuck for a bandwidth of submission?  or do I just have to prioritize the rdp session in my cisco switch?  or all will help?

    help please, thank you.

It is recommended to separate management, vmotion, storage and LAN VM traffic from each other (or in the case of 10 G, use QOS at the rate limit and separate each type of traffic...

On a standard server with 50 or so VM on it, double 1Gbit nic is much band bandwidth for traffic of vm... and actually on the blades, I saw 2x1GB nic handle all traffic very well...

RDP uses about 121kbits/s of traffic per session rdp (on average)... I highly doubt that the speed of ar causing you performance issues your card network interface, but you should easily be able to tell if you are having problems of saturation of the network with a simple PRTG, MRTG or solarwinds type of surveillance.

  • Windows 10 TP to switch 10 - problem with drivers

    Hello

I managed to install Windows 10 TP on my Acer Switch 10 64 GB (x 1920 pixels).

After struggling with the bootable USB installers (they ask for pilots from the start), I chose the online installation program. Downloaded all the files and compelted the installation.

But after the installation of the touchscreen, Wifi, sound doesn't work at all.

I tried to install the windows 8.1 drivers downloaded from the Acer site, but they do not have install.

Could someone guide me on what to do?

    Thanks in advance!

Not that you can do until the W10 approximates the output, I think we are about 6 months. The fate of the end of October for the three latest operating systems. You might be able to find the drivers beta on the website of the manufacturers for components, but official, working driver will not be released until W10 is finalized.

  • How to use a single Ethernet interface as a 802. 1 q trunk with several logical addresses in Windows XP?

Here's my question (s).  I have a rack of equipment that is used in a lab environment (8 routers workgroup and workgroup switches 8).  I have that devices connected to a series of core (1 core router and 3 switches to base) devices.  On one of my basic switches, 24 port is configured as a trunk port, allowing 8 all working group devices to connect and use the TFTP services on a computer.  This is my issue starts.

My computer is a Dell Optiplex running Windows XP Professional SP3.  It has two physical Ethernet NIC cards, being a Broadcom NetExtreme 57XX and the other is a Linksys EG1032.  On the computer I was using before, Linksys NIC was subdivided into logic miniports and authorized for 802. 1 q trunking base switch.  It's how each workgroup devices then used services TFTP on the PC.  I need help in this reconfiguration on the current computer.
