switching from JPG to PDF editing images of low resolution

Hello

I go from jpg to PDF publication for my folio. Most of the things are great. There are some things that seem to always really crappy, like animations with logos and JPG images from photoshop.

What can I do to fix? I have to redo them with a higher DPI?

Some assets will look pixelated on HD devices. Use PPP 108 and also use different means for SD and HD devices. Read more here: http://helpx.adobe.com/digital-publishing-suite/help/creating-multi-rendition-pdf-articles .html #creating_multi_rendition_pdf_articles_for_ios_devices

    The appropriate image size should be set in Photoshop.  Let all the layers - especially the layers as kind and forms vector

    Then you must read carefully the options when recording in PDF format.

    On the general tab, choose "high quality print".

    On the Compression tab, ensure that the dpi is set at least 300

    That should be fine, so otherwise, come back and tell us what is happening.

  • Flattening of transparency creates Images of low resolution

    Hi all!

    I produce a lot of vector graphics in Illustrator that I then import into InDesign. Some of my work must be completed and must follow the standard PDFX-1a. Even with the flattening of transparencies put high-resolution, once that I run the file in Adobe Acrobat format for preflight, he'll go search for low resolution images, which are the result of flattening in InDesign. If I save the same image in Illustrator in a raster (say JPG) format he will stay at 300ppi, as flattening does nothing to the image.

    Here is a screenshot showing you my settings for the flattening presets of high resolution, (which are by default).

    I really don't see where is the problem! Any ideas?

    Can you independent on a single page and export it as flattened 300ppi ok?

    As standalone, I have no problem.

    Pages can have different transparency settings. Have you tried clicking ignore substitute in the advanced Panel?

    Hello

    I have a license and download one of the images of this person and it's a miniature size. I am reluctant to license and download the second because the WM image is the same low resolution as the first one I paid for. The images are # 82970282 & 78478348. I got another person to check these files and they confirm that we have received the thumbs. Please can you get files high resolution for us?

    Thank you

    These are vector files which can be resized to any size. They seem to function normally. What type of program you use to work with the vector file?

  • convert pdf to image in high resolution

    Hi all

    I would like to convert image with a high resolution 1200pixel/inch of coding. I found some information below on the internet and there is nothing more than 600 resolution. I knew that it is possible to do with the UI in Acrobat. You have no idea how to do with coding?

    'kImgResolutionAuto = - 1,

    kImgResolution72 = 72,

    kImgResolution96 = 96,

    kImgResolution150 = 150,

    kImgResolution300 = 300,

    kImgResolution600 = 600 "

    Kind regards

    Jiaowei

    Based on the documentation, the only one of the defined constants are allowed:

    KExtractImgCmdKeyResolution resolution:

    kASValueInteger, one of:

    kImgResolutionAuto = - 1 (default)

    kImgResolution72 = 72

    kImgResolution96 = 96

    kImgResolution150 = 150

    kImgResolution300 = 300

    kImgResolution600 = 600

    However, it seems that the function expects an integer value, and because the user interface allows to settings outside this set, I would try just specify the full value of 1200 to see if the result is created in the form of images of 1200 dpi. The user interface allows certainly 1200 and 2400 DPI in Acrobat DC. Keep in mind that you use the command outside of it has documented behavior and it may not work, or it can have unwanted side effects, or, the next update to Acrobat may cease to do what you base your application on.

  • The proxy editing low resolution, then apply changes to high resolution

    Hello

    I'm developing a continuous image of a great wall that will be seen about 1-2 feet of viewing distance. There are about 100 dpi.

    My image is currently 21 600 x 8100 pixels in 8-bit CMYK. It can grow. I don't do a lot of manipulation, but a lot of it is with the help of brushes and the smudge tool.

    2 questions:

    (1) I have a Mac Pro 12-core with 24 GB of RAM. The smudge tool is slooowly when working on this image (like a finger to the max brush size takes 15-20 seconds to enter into force).

    (2) is it a "string mesh" tool that I can use instead of the finger tool?

    Is it possible for me to edit a version low resolution of this image, then apply the changes that I made to the version high resolution? then I can use the tools anti-dirt and brush, and the finesse my work without the machine bogged down and Imaging will look correct. I'm looking for a way to use these tools in real time while working with this large image.

    This seems to be the solution (at least it is for me). I can apply my changes to the proxy low resolution by registering the mesh and then apply this same mesh to image high resolution. The brush sizes large (compared to the resolution of the image) that I am available in version low resolution are presented through the high resolution because the changes are not applied as strokes of brush, but as changes in the global network. changes made to the mesh are what is transferred when you export and import.

    Applying the mesh is pretty slow and it requires a bit of tinkering at the level high resolution, but makes me 95% of the way. I think that is achievable.

    To sum up - here are the steps:

    (1) I make a version low resolution of the image (like 1200px wide)

    (2) I make my changes to the image using fluidity

    (3) before committing the changes in fluidity, I have 'Save Mesh' in the Liquify tool

    (4) I opened my image in high resolution

    (5) I use liquify, but I do not use brushes, but rather load my saved the low-resolution mesh

    (6) profit.

    Thanks for the help of the people!

  • Low resolution image to download high resolution.

    Hello

    I searched on the DreamWeaver forum in this regard.

    I have 20 images of low resolution logo on a page. I need to click on a low resolution but download highres image alternative. I don't want to link to the highres and have them then right click to download the high resolution.

    In other words, clicking on the image of the logo low resolution download high resolution.

    Thank you.

    I used a tactic here... http://www.cmhager.com/Owings/060902/index.html who
    disables the function right-click on the page and requires the user to open
    image high resolution download. It's not really force them, but guides
    the easy way which is the one you want to do. It's the
    only reason legitimate I found to use the disable click right function...

    As you asked in the forum of Adobe Acrobat Reader, I assume you are using Reader. Reader is a PDF "reader".

    Player cannot create a PDF file, can not handle the content of a PDF page and can not export the contents of a PDF page.

    To create a PDF to JPEG format, you can buy, install, and use Adobe Acrobat (Standard or Pro). This is desktop applications for use on a computer (non-mobile).

    Or, you could subscribe to the appropriate Adobe PDF Document Cloud Service that provides online.

    Once you have the PDF search results now are JPEG would require that the JPEG is an image of the text was made black and white and of a sufficient resolution (at least 300 ppi usually desired for the acceptable character recognition). With this, you would use the OCR capability provided with Acrobat or the subscription service. The output of the OCR is available.

    JPEG is not the ideal image format for this. TIFF is a better choice.

    Be well...
