Switching in Eclipse workspaces

I've been developing projects in Eclipse using the 4.2.1 component pack. I now want to develop a project using the 4.7.0 component pack. I created a new Eclipse workspace with his own BlackBerry project and workspace and configure it to use the 4.7.0 component pack. When I switch back to the older workspace, the component pack is always set to 4.7.0 and I have to back to 4.2.1 how insists on all cleaning projects. When I switch back to the 4.7.0 workspace, the same thing happens. This isn't exactly an aid to productivity.

Is it possible to configure things so that each Eclipse workspace maintains its own component preferences?

Another much better than my previous idea:

Under your eclipse directory, there is a file that maintains your location of JDE:

C:\eclipse-SDK-3.4.1-win32\eclipse\configuration\.settings\net. RIM. Eide.Keys.Configuration.prefs

That's what I have:

#Mon 03 August at 16:46:37 PDT 2009
WORKSPACE. USER. BUILD = true
Eclipse.Preferences.version = 1
JAVA. SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT KIT. HOME PAGE =
RIM. SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT KIT. Home=C\:\\eclipse-SDK-3.4.1-win32\\eclipse\\plugins\\net.rim.Eide.componentpack4.3.0_4.3.0.13\\components\\bin
RIM. SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT KIT. DOCS=C\:\\eclipse-SDK-3.4.1-win32\\eclipse\\plugins\\net.rim.Eide.componentpack4.3.0_4.3.0.13\\components\\docs\\api

Make two copies. A score to 4.7, others pointing to 4.3 (see net.rim.eide.componentpack4.3.0_4.3.0.13 vs.)

When you want to work with 4.3, replace net.rim.eide.keys.Configuration.prefs with the version 4.3. When you want to work with 4.7, then replace it with version 4.7.

It will be useful.

The current application, I'm working on that is compiled and runs under SDK5.0. I downloaded SDK4.7 Eclipse and 4.5 and want to compile against 4.5 to support the 8300 devices.

When I opened the Application descriptor, the box in the generation tab shows the three (4.7, 4.5 and 5.0) SDKs the checkmark against the 5.0. I can't change the check mark.

I tried to change the JRE in the configuration and by selecting the alternate, this just opens the 8300 but Simulator do not recompile the application.

What is the procedure to change the SDK so that the application can be downloaded to legacy devices.

    Thank you

    Alan

    Perform the following steps:

    (1) expand the project in the package Explorer.

    (2) right click on the JRE System Library folder, and click Properties.

    3) click JRE replacement and select the version of the JRE, you want to use.

  • Construction of BBM SDK Beta 4 samples in eclipse?

    Hello

I'm currently building the sample applications included in the 4_03_10_2011 of BBM beta SDK using the BlackBerry plugin for eclipse 3.5. Java version: 1.6 update 20

I am able to build these projects in the sample with the latest BlackBerry JDE (6.0.0) and run successfully with the Simulator provided in the download package. (but not on other simulators)

However, when I build the projects platformdemo and platformdemo2 tictactoe in eclipse, they all behave unexpectedly on the Simulator provided gives the error "Eception exception: net.rim.vm.MissingNativeError".

I think it has something to do with the option of additional Cap "package:com.rim.resources = 3.key" included in the jdp project file.

Could someone please tell me what it does and how it can be duplicated in the eclipse environment?

Also, other AIDS to this problem would be appreciated

Must add net_rim_bb_qm_platform.jar as an external jar from a location that is outside the scope of eclipse workspace.

  • BlackBerry Java plug-in for Eclipse plugin vs for websphere studio device developments

    Hello world

I am at a loss, because I can not even begin to help in the development of websphere studio device, because I can't find any plug-in for it, for my body I have to use this IDE which is Websphere studio as an IDE device development to develop my app for BlackBerry 8310, so I look to find how to test my java application measures  , so I find BlackBerry Java plug-in for Eclipse ", my question is are there any plugin fo Wbsphere IDE, and there is a way to use the same plug-in of eclipse for me.

    Thank you;

can't answer the first question that I don't ever use websphere - if you want to use it, you will find a way, if not I suggest you switch to eclipse.

Yes, you must generate the Cod. It cannot be run without generating the binary file.

FYI: we use eclipse as editor-in-Chief and the jde as a tool to build test /.

  • Eclipse + Java SDK 5.0.14 - single step broken

Given that some say debugging yesterday stopped working that breakpoints would stop the execution, but Eclipse cannot display the stack display for some threads.

I fixed this particular problem by running such clean.bat suggested in response to my original post.

Breakpoints are busy once again, but step by step is not.

Now, when I click step over or step in, the thread in the debugging pane shows (Stepping), then eclipse disappears for a long time (several minutes may be 10 or more minutes), he ends by suspends the thread again, but are generally not on the planned declaration.

  • Try to include external jar in Eclipse IDE, but it does not work

    Hello world

I try to use the BB for Eclipse plugin.  I saw the other posts in the same direction as mine, but nothing seems to solve the problem or the person was referring to an older version of the plugin.  I try to include a jar named J2meMap_lib_cldc11.jar.  Here's what I've done so far:

I created a new Blackberry project called J2MEMap.

I right-click on the project and select Properties.

I go to the Blackberry project properties. Click on the Application tab.

Under Project Type, change in library.

Then, I go to the Java Build Path.

I go to the library and add the jar as an external library file.

    Click OK.

Then, I create a new Blackberry project named MyApp.

For this one, I'm doing a moped.

In the Java Build Path, I add the J2MEMap project as a project dependency.

First thing I notice is that MyApp has compilation errors because he doesn't seem to find the jar file in the other project.  If I look in the Console of the Blackberry manufacturer, I see the following error when I Isaiah to compile the J2MEMap project:

    C:\programs\opensource\eclipse\plugins\net.RIM.Eide.componentpack4.5.0_4.5.0.16\components\bin\launcher.exe C:\programs\opensource\eclipse\plugins\net.rim.eide.componentpack4.5.0_4.5.0.16\components\bin\rapc.exe-silencieux import =...... \.. \.. \.. \.. \programs\opensource\eclipse\plugins\net.rim.Eide.componentpack4.5.0_4.5.0.16\components\lib\net_rim_api.jar;...... \.. \.. \.. \.. \programs\opensource\j2memap\sdk\cldc11\J2meMap_lib_cldc11.jar library =... \J2MEMap\J2MEMap warnkey = 0 x 52424200; 0 x 52435200; 0 x 52525400 - sourceroot = C:\Local\develop\eclipse\workspaces\psu\J2MEMap\src C:\Local\develop\eclipse\workspaces\psu\J2MEMap\bin
Error! : not found of course
CAP has failed for the project J2MEMap

Previously, I did not receive this error, but I began to acquire a reason any.  I am able to generate the Midlet example that comes with the JDE and deploy and run on the Simulator.  For some reason, I can't get libraries to work properly.

    Thank you

    Eric

In fact, I thought that I'm answering my own question in case someone else has the same problem.  In the library project, I had to go to the project properties and go to the Import/Export, and then select the external jar as one of the elements that must be exported.

    Thank you

    Eric

  • Rub the editing workspace behaviour, inherited from the color workspace?

Work on a standard calendar, about 18 minutes long, a video track to date. Had all cuts, then switched over color workspace to start the color correction. While in the color workspace, scrub through the timeline automatically changes the selection to some clip the read head is complete. However, somehow this behavior has now been inherited in any workspace. It simplifies editing a little more a chore like rub will hang up often as it tries to load the effects for each clip and all controls. I don't know if it's some setting I went with a shortcut of an accident or a bug. It occurs in this project any project, the behavior of friction acts as usual.

Here is a video showing what I'm talking, first in the project involved with the problem, then load another project to illustrate the behavior acting normally:

  • How to create an extension not in the default location in Eclipse?

    Hello world

I recently installed an Extension builder 3 on my Eclipse Kepler (on a Mac OS 10.6.8)

I just created an extension for InDesign CC (9.2) in my eclipse workspace. It works fine, I can launch InDesign CC and see my extension. I just created the extension proposed by the wizard without changing anything.

This extension works now. The next step for me also moves into a tree view of the project, say that < workspace >/autocat/MyExtension. To do this, I use the context menu on my extension project and then move... I moved the project where I want to and launched InDesign. It crashed (see details below).

The solution I tried then was not creating a project in the default location proposed by Eclipse, but I got this error message:

In a last hope, I tried to use the eclipse import project, but didn't get any success.

Well, I 'solved' in this way: I moved in my system from my project files, then removed from the Eclipse (without removing it from the disk). Then I re-imported the project in Eclipse and trashed my InDesign preferences. It still crashes from time to time, but I can work with it. The truth is out there...

  • Only Compact and offered expanded workspaces?

I just downloaded and installed the CBWMS and found that my drop-down list options for workspace contains only compact and expansion opportunities. No classic, Designer, etc. I'm on an IMac running OS 10.8.4. Is this correct? If this is not the case, how do the other options?

    Hello

Yes, LE DW CC version contains only the Compact options and extended.

You can create any other workspace of your choice by first organizing panels and workspace views on how you want it to be and then choosing the new option in the drop-down list workspaces.

Give it a name and you can switch to the workspace of your choice when you need

  • Import a project in Eclipse

    Hi people,

My colleague just compressed a flex project and sent it to me. I'm trying to get it set up in my own Eclipse/FlexBuilder and could sure use a little guidance, because I am new to all this.

First of all, to create a new Eclipse workspace for this project?
Then what? The file | Import function requires that I have create a 'new project '. But if I create a flex project, it creates a whole bunch of files that will be just too written when I unpack the * real project. Which will damage probably someone from the project.
If, instead, I create a new project and import into that, well, what kind of project can we establish?
And where to point my workspace directory? Anywhere seems to do, but should it point to the place where I unzip the files of real project?

And finally, is there documentation that covers these basic mechanisms? This seems far far far more complex it is, and a simple explanation of the new configuration and project Eclipse/Flex exlisting would be a great help.

    Thank you

    WS

p.s. If anyone has a server plugin for Eclipse team, let me know. It would also be a great help!

Question 1) your zip file .project inside project?

    (1) if (Yes)
you don't need to create a new project
Open the file click on Eclipse-> Import...
in a dialog box open the Plus sign next to general and select "projects in the workspace. Click next
the next window you need to navigate to the directory where you unpacked your project (make sure you select Directory with the file .project inside) after clicking ok in eclipse browser dialogue should recognize as project and finally you will see the eclipse poster who, as a project, you can select, so select it and click on finish, it's everything all must be done.

    (2) If your zipped project doesn't have a .project file:
before you do anything, you must analyze the directory structure, there WEB - INF inside she CBC etc, if you can describe at least little this directory structure, it would be much easier to tell you how to run.

look slike you are trying to create a basic project no flex?

  • How to build JSR181 WebService with eclipse pack / why AXIS?

    Hi all

I am trying to build a webservice annotation based by Eclipse (my client wants to use Eclipse 3.4 or 3.3) which is actually supposed to work on 9.2 and I am confused by the following questions:

    1. What is the equivalent of 'create WebLogic Web service' workshop in pack eclipse? any wizzard as in the workshop that creates a class annotated?
    2. If it is gone, it will support in a future version?
    3. when I try to start with a class of java without annotations, I find myself with an error message, but what confuses me
more is, the choice between the AXIS and AXIS2 for WLS. I thought that WLS is not based on the AXIS and 10 WLS is based on the
Pile of Sun Metro JAX - WS and JAX - RPC before program.

(the error message I see is:)
Cannot find the configuration file. Creating new configuration file servlet engine: /WEB-INF/server-config.wsdd)

    4. in fact, I was very happy if I could install the workshop WLS plugins in Eclipse 3.4, but it's not possible, no?

    I appreciate your comments.
I also appreciate suggestions for what is the more stable tool to develop Web services for WLS9 (and 10 later).
Workshop 9 or 10, Studio comes with ALSB, pack Eclipse workspace.

    see you soon,

WLS web services support will be added to the next version of EPCO, which will be delivered in the first quarter of 2009.

WLS web service stack does not rely on the axis. Base Eclipse tooling for Axis web services account. You should be able to run web services based on the axis on WLS, if you wish. The axis runtime libraries must be provided with your application in this case.

    4. in fact, I was very happy if I could install the workshop WLS plugins in Eclipse 3.4, but it's not possible, no?

    Is not possible.

I also appreciate suggestions for what is the more stable tool to develop Web services for WLS9 (and 10 later).
Workshop 9 or 10, Studio comes with ALSB, pack Eclipse workspace.

I would recommend Workshop 10.3, which is based on Eclipse 3.3 and has the support of WLS 9.2 and 10.0.
