Switching to free version problems

I tried the Aurora of Firefox version and I would like to go back to the release version. I tried to change the value app.update.channel in everything: config and the file prefs.js - channel. The version will still not change. And Yes, I restarted my browser.

You cannot change the update channel by changing the app.update.channel preferably.

The best (and only) way to do this is to install the full version.

    I have problems with a Linux distro installed in my version of Windows 7 VmWare 7.1.3 build 3206955 and start watching to see if I had the latest version of VmWare. When I click on search upgrades of VmWare, I get "No update available", then a message to get the 12 workstation. I can't find a link to a free version more. What I see is a paid version of Workstation Player 12 if a link to FAQ mentions free for home use.

    VMWare Workstation has two different flavors:

    -Workstation 'Pro '.

    -Workstation 'Player '.

    Both can do the same, and both are paid ESSENTIALLY software...

    But as "Pro Workstation" has more advanced features (that you may never) it is more expensive than "Workstation Player".

    And VMWare said explicitly that the use of VMWare Workstation Player is FREE if you use it for commercial purposes.

    Of course, it then comes between you and your conscience :-)

    Workstation Player installation you are prompted for a serial number, but can decide to leave this field empty by saying that you will use for a commercial use.

    I think all versions of Workstation are equal performance wise. They differ only features wise.

    As I have not used Workstation before a few weeks, I can't tell if you get all the benefits if you are upgrading an earlier version.
