switchport autosate exclude

Hi eveyone,

I have config int vlan 2

then 2 - layer 2 VLANs

After that, I put IM interface vlan 2

also, I run the command

switchport autostate exclude

When I did, then int vlan went from top to - bottom.

Need to know why the int vlan went down to status?

Thank you

MAhesh

For your IVR back, at least one interface that is in front of the Vlan to be upward. In your case I guess that you had only a say article gi1/0/1 interface in the vlan 2, the command that you ran tells the switch to exclude the determination of the State of the SVI 2 G1/0/1.

  • ESW-520-24 p not able to connect to a Catalyst 3560 G + compatible with SPA942?

    Hi all

a customer bought an ESW-520-24 p for use in a VoIP project. Today we had difficulties to connect to a switch of 3650 G of catalyst; We tried to set the port to the trunk, general, customer and access and changed all sorts of settings VLAN on the 3560G switch nothing helps: the switches just interconnection used. While sniffing, we saw that the ARP requests are unresponsive even, if something is at a low level, no doubt with VLAN-ing.

Someone at - it an idea if these switches must be connected between them and if so, what do I do?

On the other hand; voice turns on VLANS separated and the customer will use SPA942 phones that have an internal switch that allows a PC to connect. I used this call successfully with the Catalyst Express switches and I didn't have to do anything for VLAN-ing, it worked 'out of the box. Can anyone confirm that these phones work with switches for small businesses as well?

    THX!

    Bart

    Hi Bart,.

I quickly set up the simulation.  It took me more time to write this that actually do the work.

I grabbed my handy Cisco 3560 catalyst switch.  I plugged port FastEthernet 23 plugged into my UC520.  My Uc520 is my voice system and the DHCP server.

    I have the 24 FastEthernet port connected to my Cisco 3560 in my ESW540 - 24 p.  On 3 of my ESW540 switch port - 24 p, I plugged a phone SPA962...

I guess that my simulation is close enough to your hardware.  The configuration should be the same I guess.

    Here is the configuration of my Cisco 3560 switch;

    interface FastEthernet0/23

    switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q

    switchport autostate exclude

    switchport mode trunk

    !

    interface FastEthernet0/24

    switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q

    switchport autostate exclude

    switchport mode trunk

    interface Vlan1

    192.168.10.3 IP address 255.255.255.0

    !

interface Vlan100 (VLAN100 ends on my UC520 and has the DHCP scope)

    no ip address

    !

    interface Vlan200

    no ip address

    !

Check that the tree covering weight is not blocking the ports of uplink with the command show spanning tree. I ask you to try what I must admit that this uplink to my UC520 was in a BLK State on the VLAN by default.  I HAD TO CORRECT.

I plugged my phone SPA962 on my ESW switch, it lit.

VLAN 100 as my voice VLAN, I had to set manually what VLAN the SPA phone will reside in.  Otherwise, it will try to retrieve a default IP VLAN.

    • I have manually by pressing the button (below the button of the envelope) on the phone in the SPA
    • Scroll down and select 'network '.
    • Scroll again option VLAN and select Edit.
    • I changed the setting to select Enable VLAN Yes.
    • Click the OK button.
    • I then scroll down to the option VLAN ID.
    • Choose the edit button to change the VLAN ID information
    • I register 100 to and selected OK.

My phone has received an IP address from my 100 VLAN address 10.1.1.X.

Fortunately, the ESW520 has a pretty good GUI, in which case you can add a new vlan and the trunk at all ports.

Here's an example of how I added the vlan 200 to the ESW switch and started adding the Tagged ports switch ports.  I have to do all the ports where you need a VLAN.

I then as seen below my new adds VLAN as a port Tagged to all ports of the switch.

You can see from my screenshot below I was adding VLAN 200 to interface G2 as labeled interface.

Don't forget NOT to SAVE YOUR CONFIGURATIONS ON BOTH THE 3560 and the ESW520

    hope this helps

    Best regards, Dave

  • Cam nest excluded Homekit?

I can only assume, because of the competitive relationship between Apple and Google, but I'm really disappointed to see that the family of nest products is excluded from Homekit.

Stupid decision, because I do not know that I am not alone to already incorporate the nest in my house and using the app to nest on my phone.  I guess they wanted to be sure that homekit was completely irrelevant for me...

Google and nest products are in direct competition with Apple and their proprietary Home Kit.  Google paid $3 .2b for nest laboratories and has used to launch Google home.  Completely secure communication protocols different use of two technologies, so are not inherently compatible and nest will be redesigned specifically to be. Google doesn't want you to use the nest with home kit - they want to you use the nest with their system.  Time will tell which competitor wins in the end.

  • Cookies should exclude from the deletion of LSO Better Privacy addon?

I want to install the addon Better Privacy. In your discussion, you point to the frequently asked questions for warnings on the erasure of large cookies. I couldn't see this addressed in the FAQ. Which cookies should be excluded from the deletion of LSO? Help, please. Sorry not a computer person! Thank you.

Sorry, do you remember what FAQ is that you have read? Could you give a link to it?

Cookies are normally at your convenience by having Web sites remember you and your preferences. If rinse you your cookies every day, usually the worse thing that could happen is that you must always connect to sites, and if the site saves your preferences in a cookie, you get the standard default site settings rather than you saved your custom settings.

There are some cookies that are a pain to re - create. For example, online banking sites often you will need to enter a code that you have received a text message or fill another challenge. If you do not keep this cookie, you will need to fill the extra step every time.

LSO flash can be used for similar purposes and more. Some sites may use the data as your place in a game.

I guess what I'm saying is, there is no way for us to know what is in your cookies and how important it can be to you. We could provide only general guidance on what offers the best compatibility of site (keep the cookies) relative to the protection of personal information (clear cookies) and maybe a good balance to preserve your sanity.

  • Can what files I exclude from Time Machine backups?

I use Firefox on OS X Mavericks. I use Time Machine to back up this computer. I know that Time Machine avoid automatically save my web cache. But which of the files in my directory profile I can't back up? I am particularly interested in the webappstore.sqlite, cookies.sqlite and healthreport.sqlite since they are on the larger end and seem to change frequently.

I have already excluded bookmarkbackups and places.sqlite. I have the browser the value automatically export my favorites so if I need to restore my computer I'll revisit my favorites but not my browsing history, that seems reasonable.

What type of data is useful for you?

A reset for example keeps personal data such as bookmarks (places.sqlite, JSON safeguards), history (places.sqlite), biscuits (cookies.sqlite), (signons.sqlite and key3db) passwords, form data (formhistory.sqlite), open tabs (sessionstore.js)

  • How to exclude software is inaccessible from SDM

I'm trying to remove some software, we don't use SDM so that it never installed on any computers screw SSM.

Examples: HP protect tools, McAfee Total Protection ect. Face recognition software (our laptops don't have webcams) Manager software, Hp support and many other things.

I can't find a way to get rid of it or can download them.

I tried to simply delete the folders. but it just comes back.

What are the steps to uninstall SDM, so SSM installs ever?

Currently, it has no feature in SDM which excludes software be available from SDM.

Would not hurt to write an email detailing how you would consider such a feature to work to support the implementation of SDM SDM team.

  • Exclude specific 'face' of the smart album?

Is it possible to create a smart album that includes pictures of several people (using 'faces'), but not pictures which may include a specific other person who may appear in some of these photos. For example, I would a smart album that includes all the photos of my brother, sister and parents (using 'faces'), but excludes all the photos that include the 1st wife of my brother.

    David

I think that you'll just have to put in place of the rules in the process of creating smart albums.

There is a rule for faces to create smart albums. You can use the "Add rule" button in the upper right of the dialog box to create a Smart Album. You will need to add a rule by individual faces. With faces, there is a 'is' and the option 'is not. The order could play a factor in the execution of the rules so try putting the old sis in law first or last. If all goes well, one of those who will work.

    Good luck

PS. you might want to try first with a single inclusion and exclusion. If it works, continue to add more inclusions you govern together.
