Swoosh background

Hi all

I'm trying to figure out how to make a background similar to one of the 'Aqua Blue' horizons wallpaper that came with my MacBook Pro. I can't find any tutorials... I don't know what to look for. Any advice would be much appreciated!

  • PrPro CS4 - a video with a transparent background?

I've been using PrPro for quite awhile, but I'm certainly not adept, so I need to rely on you, experts here.

I do short videos for my website, www.topographic.com. One of the compatible elements of the videos is something I call a 'swoosh,' that slides at the bottom of the screen, then superimposes the name of the person in the frame, then slips again. (This can be seen on this video, http://youtu.be/RW5d5J9ypsE, 15 seconds in.)

The swoosh was created in CorelDraw and exported as a .png with a transparent background. But everytime I want to use it in various videos, I recreate the effect of movement, including the ease in / deceleration. I want to make the process faster and easier just to create a video clip with the swoosh already in it, but we should have a transparent background. Is it possible to do?

I know I could use chroma key, I was hoping to avoid if possible because it still requires a certain amount of time and effort, but if that's the only way, sobeit.

Is there such a thing as a video equivalent to a .png with a transparent background?

    Thank you!

Export as a microsoft avi, codec no and 32-bit depth.

This will give a videofile with transparent background and can be used in any project.

  • Background app colors are more uniform

Since the upgrade of the Sierra, web pages Chrome and the code editor backgrounds Atom are messy. For example, in the atom, it seems that I've highlighted throughout the text, part of the background is dark and some of it is lighter. In Chrome, bluish grey background of Facebook will be uniform and then become clearer on the sides abruptly. This sudden change happens on other colors, which actually look as if I chose the parts of the page with my cursor. Basically the uniform color of the origins on some Web pages or applications (Atom and Chrome) are more uniform.

This substantive change only happens when I plug my HDMI cable on an external monitor. If I'm working on all of my macbook pro retina screen, everything seems fine. If I plug in my HDMI cable to an external monitor, the sets become non-uniform, even on the macbook pro (when mirroring) of the screen. I used the HDMI cable and the monitor with another computer and the problem does not exist, so I think it has something to do with macOS Sierra. Strangely enough, this problem only occurs with Atom and Chrome. Safari, for example, is absolutely perfect.

I've included screenshots to show what I mean.

    Hi tedmcdo,

Thanks for the upgrade to Mac OS Sierra! It seems like when you connect your external monitor to your Mac via HDMI, the Mac knows uniform color schemes. If this only happens when the external monitor is connected, you can try the reset NVRAM while it is disconnected from your Mac.

    What is NVRAM?

A small amount of memory on your computer called "non-volatile random - access memory" or NVRAM, stores certain settings in a location that OS X can access quickly. Settings that are stored in NVRAM are dependent on the type of Mac you use and the types of devices on it.

Information stored in the NVRAM may include:

    • The speaker volume
    • Screen resolution
    • Selection of boot drive
    • These latest panic the kernel, if applicable

If you encounter problems with these features, you may need to reset the NVRAM on your computer. For example, if your Mac starts up from a bootdisk other than that specified in startup disk preferences, or a question mark icon appears briefly at the start of your Mac.

How to reset the NVRAM on your Mac.

After resetting the NVRAM, please connect the screen and check if the problem is resolved. Alternatively, you can try to boot your Mac in safe mode.

    What is safe mode?

Safe mode (sometimes called secure boot) is a way to start up your Mac so that it performs certain checks and prevents certain software from loading automatically or opening. From your Mac in safe mode does the following:

    • Check your startup disk and attempts to fix problems if necessary directory
    • Loads needed kernel extensions only
    • Prevents elements start and the login items open automatically
    • Disables the user installed fonts
    • Delete font caches, hiding the kernel and other files of the system cache

Together, these changes can help resolve or isolate issues related to your startup disk.

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

Please use the Apple Support communities to post your question. These procedures should have your Mac showing its vibrant colors on the Retina display as expected. Good day.

  • I background clock os10

I have an iPhone 6s and I've updated yesterday at I OS10 - now, my clock background is dark with light lettering - I need so he can return to bottom clear with black lettering - I know this may seem small, but the darker background white inscription hurt my eyes - which gives me headaches. I don't drive at night for the same reason - is there a way to return to a light background with dark lettering?

    THANKS for any help/tips

There isn't a way to change this. You can make the suggestion to Apple on http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

Also for a more immediate solution, there are 3rd party clock apps available in the App Store.

  • Sleep at random after black background

If I restart the system, everything is fine... I get the silver on my Apple TV 4gen background. However, after that the system goes to sleep and then I wake up the background becomes black and although I can see my apps installed I can't go to the app list/dock and see one of them (for example: a double click on the TV button on the remote control). Again, if I restart the system it will well again (see screenshots). No idea why this is happening?

Try the following steps for the Apple TV 4, check if things work after each step if necessary, before you try the next.

    1. Restart the Apple TV (settings > system > restart).
    2. Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL cables for 30 seconds.
    3. Restart your router. (Also try to remove the power cord for at least 30 seconds)
    4. Reset Apple TV (settings > system > reset > reset all settings)
    5. Restore the Apple TV (settings > system > reset > restore)
  • GPS apps in the background

I have an iPhone 6 s upgraded to iOS 10 the day it came out last week and I noticed that applications using GPS are failing in the background when several applications are in use. I ran to the Waze to check the traffic and Google Maps at the same time to check something on Friday and has noticed that if she was in the background would tend to turn off after a few moments. When I turn back, she will have to acquire the road again. I also have a Fitbit load HR, which uses the GPS on the phone via bluetooth to create a map of my route. I have it worked out with my usual Runkeeper app (which normally works perfectly) and noticed that Runkeeper would be closed after a mile or more. When I went to him to my podcast app after my race, Runkeeper would start up and missed the last two miles of my race. In addition, the road saved by Fitbit seemed jumped all over the place. I know that it is not unusual for GPS from blip, especially when moving through areas with weak signal or cell mutation or all through the streets of the city with tall buildings, but it seems that the problems have become more coherent. I have not tried to run with a single application to see if I have the same problem, but will try tomorrow. I used only a single app for navigation (Waze) yesterday evening and he seemed also to close after it is placed in the background for a while. Has anyone else seen anything like this?

    Hello alexhoward,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. It is my understanding GPS apps do not work in the background, after the update to iOS 10. I use GPS every time I travel. I know that it can be crucial for applications GPS running in the background. I'm happy to help you

I recommend first restart your iPhone. This can solve many unexpected behaviours. Follow the steps below.

    1. Press and hold the sleep/wake button until the Red slider appears.
    2. Drag the slider to turn off your device completely off.
    3. Once the device turns off, press and hold the sleep/wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

Restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

If the problem persists, reset your location service. This resets all settings at default location. Apps will be stop using your location until you grant them permission again. Go to settings > general > reset > reset the card and privacy. Here is some additional information on location Services.

    Hi mweedn!

I understand that you see a reduction in the battery of your iPhone 5s after updating to iOS 10. It is important to be able to make full use of your iPhone! There are a few resources that can help.

Before the resolution of the problem, were you able to view information using your battery on your iPhone? Here's how to check the amount of battery used by each application:

  • Recently installed last software update. He changed his screen background Photo from black to white. How can I change this back

ElCapitan update macOS/Sierra tonight.  Photo open.  Wallpaper (behind photos) used to be black, now it is white.  How can I get this back to black?

I believe the Photos app exactly the same under MacOS Sierra there as it did under OS X El Capitan on the background color.

The background color is (and was) white when usually browsing photos.  But when you edit a picture, the background color turns black.

To edit in the Photos under MacOS Sierra app, press the circle button.  (This button is used to say "Change" under OS X El Capitan).  You will then see the black background.

  • iOS 10 begins to turn background refresh for all applications

I only update background together 10% of my iPhone apps. This morning is the third time iOS 10A turned on background refresh for all my applications.

When this happened last (2 days ago), I was able to fix by disabling the background refresh and restart my phone. Unfortunately, does not at the moment. I tilted background update turn off a dozen times, but it looks like I'll have set manually again 90% of my apps on 'Off '.

    Any idea?

Am also see this as well on the iPhone with iOS 10.0.1 7.

Turn off background App update on Chrome and Podcasts, and they are delivered in a period of a few hours.

I also removed the Photos widget, but which somehow added himself.

And I have also disabled display the events of vacation Photos and camera settings - and that turned on as well...

    A little aggrevating...!
