SX60

can someone tell me the difference between a canon power shop sx60 "9543B 00" and 9543B001aa «»

The 9543B001aa is a model NOT USA and not be covered in the United States under its guarantee. It's either the Spanish or Mexican model, I'm not sure.

Best to call Canon to be sure before you buy

Get a refurb SX60. Interested in Wifi. Did anyone tried Airnef? http://www.WebUpd8.org/2015/11/wirelessly-transfer-photos-from.html

I would also like to choose which photos to download or transfer to the wifi. I shoot RAW and I know that they are great. I'll shoot a few that I want to send MMS. The selection would be a big dea.

I am interested since I use Linux 17 Mint with W7Pro. I want to just transfer pix on the desk where I can get them in Photoshop 5. Desktop is Linux dual boot with Windows XP Home edition. XP is offline for security reasons, so transfer going to Linux.

I have read most of independent articles that I could find between NikonP900 and SX60. I have a SX50. That * beep * timer on the dial makes me crazy. It seems that the dial on mine is set to turn on the timer whenever I touch the dial, even on the menu! If she could be programmed, it is the first thing that would go,

. I use the zoom to observe birds, but the non-printable pictures. ID only. If I want to use the long zoom, I have a tripod and a monopod. I do not film. If I want to shoot a shot short type, I use my cell phone.

I like the Macro. I have filters for the SX50. I have also a Canon 20 d and all the flashes and the controls for it. It's nice to have the claw if I want. I'll probably give daughter if 50 60 works. Dominates like you people here are more technical. I can't believe the absurdity of some of the fanboys for any camera.

Got the camera, take a good look. Was able to use the manual focus a lot easier than the 50. The dial is a little hard to turn, or click on the left side, but he must get used to that. Having this dratted off the dial timer is great. I can't accidentally fat finger it. I prefer the update macro, too.

Also have the wifi camera. I received pictures directly in Adobe Photoshop CS3 via wifi. This means that I can change a photo to send by MMS without having to find a USB cord. Or just save the photo under a PSD which can be modified without loss.  can also load all the photos (in the form of files) into a USB and put them in the Office XP offline . The desktop monitor is calibrated, the laptop is not. Desktop is dual boot with Linux Mint is the main operating system.

Check photos taken outside before making any more customization.

  • SX50 HS vs SX60 HS for the video

I'm trying to decide between the SX50 HS vs SX60 HS.  Filming my children sports, concerts and musicals/parts is a key criterion.

Can you please tell me what camera takes better video (I read that the SX50 is better?)

Can you tell me the maximum length of music videos that each camera can take before the video stops?

Once again, thank you for all the support, which has been extremely useful

  • HS SX60 - how long to keep the settings without main battery

SX60 HS does not keep date/time settings and seems other setting too when the main battery is taken out for charging. How long camera must retain parameters without main battery? I sent the unit for repair, had refirbished with the same problem - memory loss.

Should I continue to send the camera for repair under warranty until Canon will do something reasonable? Or return the money for that camera?

The internal date and time battery should load up in 4 hours with a charged battery installed. Then it must retain the date and time for about 3 weeks once loaded and the battery removed.

If this is not done or pretty close to that, then by all means send it back for repair or replacement or refund.

To my knowledge, that is not a chronic problem with the SX60 so in all liklihood, you have a faulty they need repair.

  • Extension of the PowerShot SX60 Jittery lens

My Powershot SX60: Sometimes, when I extend the lens it jitters (no it's not me!).  It's that it is having an epileptic seizure.  Once he even extended, but emphasis was no different when the goal was not zoomed in.  What could be wrong?

It's not good if it is under warranty call Canon and service request has started immediately!

You can try a restet at the defaults, but I think you have an internal problem

  • Question of charger Powersho6 SX60

I just bought a camera Powershot SX60 HS and the box contained the charger CB-2LCE (he has a short cord).  Is equivalent to the CB - 2LC through failover of the pins.  I like the flip out pins better.  Thank you

If I'm not mistaken, the wired version (CB-2LCE) is for the European/Australian market, and the CB - 2LC is for the American market. However, there is a CB-2LCE having the cord for the USA, so juice check that is right for you.

  • Canon Powershot SX60 HS video performance in the dark?

When I shoot videos inside, not too dark really, with 1920 x 1080 (60 p), noises occur in the world. I tried it tuning at 1920 x 1080 (30 p), but it does not capture the delicate image that I wanted to. How to improve his performance in the dark? Thank you.

The 700 d EOS would be a very nice and capable camera that will surpass the SX60 in low light. Don't forget that the objective of the kit comes with the camera is a F3. 5 - 5 6 18-55 mm and that it would not perform as well as a lens that is F1.8, F2.0, F2.8. The more F is small, the aperture and so, the best performance in low light. The downside is that the price increases considerably with the smallest F number. I would like to get the lens with the smallest F number that you can afford. The kit lens will always be better than the objective on the SX60, but of course you will not have the same zoom range. There are some EOS kits 700 d that have two objectives as part of the package, with a 18-55 and 50-250 goals, for example, but again, they are usually on F3.5 or at best. The EOS 650 d is the old model of Canon, but still available, and some feel in fact that it is a better deal. Whatever it is, the low light performance is infinitely better than the small sensor cameras.

  • When will there be an upgrade RAW converter of 13 elements for my new Canon SX60 HS?

The Canon SX60 HS isn't on the list yet.  Thank you... Greg

It was stated that support for your camera is included in the final version of Camera Raw 8.7. The camera is not supported in the 8.7 RC which is available now. But the release candidate is never compatible with Photoshop Elements. Support is coming, but just be patient.

  • Support for Canon SX60

I was very disappointed to find that Canon SX60 is not supported in Camera Raw 8.7RC. Like its predecessor, SX50 (supported by the cab), it is one of the few superzoom bridge cameras that can shoot FIRST.

Please, please Adobe, add SX60 to Camera Raw 8.7! Please...

I got an answer for Eric Adobe employee in another forum:

We will get the support in the final version of 8.7.  Unfortunately, the calendar has not worked for the Release Candidate version.

  • I own the Canon SX HS 50 and love it, however, I like the lens wide angle on the SH SX60

Canon sx hs 50 is a bit amazing camera with the possibility of zoom to large and clarity.  I had a little more than a year.  The new sx 60 SH has some new features that I like... the lens wide angle and the creation of custom effects.  However, the stability of the camera is very fragile when zoomed out.  I question the value of the upgrade of the 50 to 60.

My shots are more abstract... by zooming in on the structures, eyes, etc.  I can take pictures of my car with the 50 but not sure that this would be possible with the 60.  I appreciate any input... or is there another cannon with the lilke long zoom of 50 with some of the features of the 1960s.

Thanks a lot for your comments,.

I don't have one. But you said you've tried, so I guess you tried in store right? In-store, normally the brightness isn't enough so the shutter speed will be slow and you will see shake. In addition, setting the device also comes into play here too. The best way, take the 50 SX with you to the store, set the similar to your 50HS 60HS. Then take the photo and compare. Sometimes, in the store settings are not optimal.

  • Power converter

Do I need a special power converter when traveling to Europe for my camera Powershot sx60?

    Hi Marty28!

Welcome to the Canon Forums and thank you for your post!

You can actually use your charger overseas without any problem. The charger is designed for AC voltage 100v-240v 50/60 Hz

Need an adapter to fit the wall socket, but you may not have a voltage transformer.

    We hope this helps!
