SX80 Output codec

Hi all

I was wondering if anyone has had luck with the SX80 codec and him do display on multiple screens.  I have a VTC room with 2 configuration is displayed but when in a VTC always default codec is only using a screen at a time.  I would like to use it as a single screen to end and a screen to the remote end.  It is normal in general but I have not found an option, but allows me to do.  Anyone with any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jerrick,

The SX80 codec have 3 output video (2xHDMI, 1xDVI) and you can connect up to 3 different screens with video output. For example on a single screen the farend, second video local and third is for the presentation. It depends on how you configure the codec to assign outputs video on screens.

If you have 2 displays connected to the codec and you want to display different outputs on them, the codec must be configured with a dual monitor configuration.

Look at this document to page 121 title and refer to video monitors.

http://www.Cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/TD/docs/Telepresence/endpoint/SX-Series/TC7/Administration-Guide/SX80-Administrator-Guide-tc73.PDF

Also, in the title of the page 123 and consult MonitorRole [1.3] video output connector to assign the specific video output on the video output connector of the codec.

Kind regards

Acevirgil

  • Overheating of Cisco SX80 double camera

We have a SX80 Cisco codec with dual cams installed at the front of the room who the speaker / auto track feature. This room was originally installed about 1 year ago. And just recently, I started to notice some flickering with capture our video cameras in the room of the VTC. In addition, the Auto Track feature pans and zooms to an individual speaker during a video call no longer works and manual tabs on the touch screen to control the cameras are inoperable as well.

At this 1st, it was just the flickering I noticed and I simply unplugged feeding on both cams for a little to solve this problem. However, a week later... twinkling is back, but now came the problem with the Auto Track and manual controls for each input. After power to the Assembly of the whole camera to mount on the front of the room for about 30 minutes, it seems to solve the problem. But now again once this morning the Auto track does not work and the emission of heat from the base that the cameras are on is very hot.

I've determined that the power that feeds on the Assembly of the camera at the front of the room is separated BC from the system of room in other words, when you stop AV system of the room through the touch screen, it is always power supplied to the Assembly of the camera with a separate. What has power constantly running on the cams, making them HOT.

Has anyone else had this problem with the Assembly Speaker SX80 track? And if yes, what is the resolution other than intermittently, turning them off the coast from time to time. I know that this device is relatively new, so wonder if the circuit design within the frame of the Assembly of the camera is shotty and needs reworking.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Cisco QoS SX80

    Hello

I would like to ask for help on this.

A client have SX80 Cisco video endpoint, and the network administrator wants to configure QoS for this endpoint.

    Here are the recommended settings:

    * Replace video type of service (ToS) 41 AF - recommends that the network administrator to change the video 41 AF priority that has a priority over high and protected to the network congestion.
    * Tag class EF - EF voice traffic has priority higher than our MPLS (Verizon) Setup.
    * Adjust the audio codec to use G.729 only - G.729 audio codec uses the compression of voice that limits the VoIP traffic.

With the recommendations above, what are the settings must be configured from the SX80 Cisco codec?

    Thank you and best regards,

    Acevirgil

You can configure QoS settings in the network via the web gui or CLI section; XConfiguration network

Only DiffServ using decimal values are supported, and the recommended values are

    • audio and video 34 (equals AF41)
    • data 22 (corresponds to AF20)
    • 26 signal (equals AF31)

I don't know how you would limit so that it uses a particular audio codec.

  • Differentiate the rooms of Codecs

Is it possible from a planning perspective to differentiate the rooms of codecs? Scenario is that there will be a pool of 15 available codecs (SX80s) and 20 + rooms.  Can dynamically plan us a room and based on the play, the number of appropriate codecs are allocated for the room. Some parts require more than 1 codec based on the size of the room. Preference is given to specific rooms in the event of a conflict of resources planning.

Codecs will be in a location centralize a 3rd party router video will manage the delivery of the video (like a kvm switch).

    Thank you

Ok. I'll tell you about it:

-First of all, you need to add a bridge to TMS, in your case, conductor. You must configure the driver on MSDS to limit the number of ports available to 15 video.
-Save all your meeting rooms for MSDS and make them available for planning for end users. When I say 'Save', I mean that you must add to the TMS as not managed using false information numbering system. In addition, if the room is large and requires more than 2 SX80s, you should save this piece twice using very similar names, for example: VC-BR-room-15 (room) and VC-BR-room-15 (video).

-Save all your SX80 to MSDS and NOT make them available to end users plan (you can do this by changing the permission settings). It is only for the purpose of the management

-Change the global setting of Type Conference of TMS to "manual connection. At a conference with the type "Manual connection" is scheduled on the TMS, TMS will implement resources multipoint for this conference, however, he will not try to automatically connect the selected participants.

-Configure TMS to use a driver like default MCU and always include MCU when for routing

-Give users to specific instructions for planning the Conference on MSDS. They must schedule a conference by using the 'Manual login' type, which will be the default value. They must also choose rooms twice (for parts requiring 2 SX80s, for example).

-Once the user has made the programming, a technical team must receive the numbering information generated by TMS (usually virtual room number and PIN), as they take the codecs for the rooms and dial in the virtual room of the Telepresence server manually. To do this, you can simply create an email account for MSDS and configure TMS to work with event notifications, allowing some TMS send e-mail notification to administrators and users with details of planning.

With this 'poor' workaround, TMS will always use the server TP for conference resources, even for the point to point those. Therefore, users cannot program more than 15 rooms (including duplicate), which corresponds to the total number of SX80 available codecs.

Before you start thinking that this may seem a "working" solution, you must consider that we are only dealing with the planning perspective, there are many other things to consider, such as the layout of rooms, conference layout, audio loop (you have 2 sets of audio devices (microphones and speakers) where you have 2 SX80) etc.

Personally, I don't like the idea of having more than 1 codec in the same room. You'd better develop capacity audio and video using third-party equipment.

Finally, once more, consider MSDS is not a product designed for this purpose, and that is why I would never want to sugget allowing you to run this workaround in a production environment.

  • Cannot display a .avi file in Premiere Pro CS6. We get an error "not supported format or corrupted file.

I am trying to bring three distinct animations in Premiere Pro, but it won't shoot them in the Source window or timeline of the sequence. The three files are uncompressed .avi files that were returned on in Autodesk Inventor. They are 15 second clips, around 2 GB and 40 fps. I can play them in Windows Media Player without problem. Any ideas on where to start troubleshooting? I can't imagine it's a codec issue, if the files are unzipped?

    > can't imagine it's a codec problem

Imagine still once your screen printing said they are bitmap files... IE a string of images, not 'really' a video that the Organization recognizes... and a rate of 40 FPS is also "weird".

Autodesk has other options... to create a file with a 'true' video output codec?

Because the Assembly is not the same thing as play, you may need to find a codec to be installed to be able to edit (NOT a codec pack!)

Autodesk has a place where you can download and install 'their' codec to edit files?

  • tinted blue export

Output codec motion jpeg is tinted blue after the export of the SOUL.

Reminder: EI (motion jpeg) files are imported first to change. Sent to the SOUL (queue) - choose "quciktime", codec motion jpeg A, quality = 100 =, size = 1920 x 1080, fields = 1.

The only weird thing I noticed first was that I created the sequence by dragging the film to the "new" button PP identified as AVCHD (clips have been exported from AE like Mjpeg) do not know if this is correct, don't see no way to change it to Mjpeg.

Ignore this; Premiere Pro is guess the type of sequences based on the parameters of images than the codec from the actual source. It does not matter in this instance. While things like size of the image, the cadence, field order, and so forth match, you are in good shape.

  • Problems with the creation of a 1080 p video - rough

    Hey guys,.

I'm new to this forum and video editing so please be patient and bare with me as I try to explain what the question. First I want to thank you for taking the time to read my question.

I have a recorder gopro HD that I used on my trip and recorded a bunch of movies. They were recorded in 1080 p/30 fps.

I am able to read these on my MAC in any player (I use VLC) and excellent don't work - no lag what so ever.

I open Adobe first Pro CS 5.5 and create a new project as follows with the sequence settings (I tried several ones) following

    AVCHD 1080 P 25 anamorphic or 1080 p 30 AVCHD or AVCHD 1080 P 25

Once this is completed I add my video with an MP3 as audio and an image recorded in JPEG format to the first 20 seconds (the video is long about 3 minutes). So far, everything is good. Also, between photo and video, I add a video transition.

When I export the video as 1080p25 or 1080 p 30 H.264 H.264 (PAL), I noticed that after that the film passes the JPEG to the actual video, it becomes very agitated on all media players, including VLC, Quicktime and lag.

This is were the problem is frustrating - if I delete the JPEG and video transition effects and I have just the video with the audio track, and export with the same parameters of the video above is absolutely perfect. No drags what so ever.

So, it seems that the JPEG format raises me questions. Anyone experienced this and could point me in the right direction?

To be absolutely clear, the image is about 500 KB, and the size is JPEG 1280 * 960.

    The system I use is

    MacBook Pro

    2.3 Ghz I7 Quad

    8 GB ram

    1 GB dedicated video card

I don't think that its my computer that I tested the two videos (with and without jpeg) on other machines and get the same results. With JPEG format video is choppy while the others are playing very well.

I would very much help because I am creating a video to send to all of our materials for a rally, in which we participated.

Thanks a lot again for taking the time to read my question.

    Kind regards

    Milan

OK, so now we know that what we were dealing with trully was a user error, and I'm sure that part of it is you being new to the organization. The other part of it is annoyingly that one has to deal with, whenever complex production pipelines are involved. When you use a professional application suh as a body you're accepted flexibility. Unfortunately with this flexibility, the possibility of rockets error skyhigh. This complexity is not helped by the fact that the output is entrusted by the codecs from many different suppliers, who have all of the different user interfaces and different ways they talk to the host about QuickTime is terrible in this aspect as well. Therefore be very methodical.

Now that we know that there is really no bug with body on your question, you can go ahead and chose one of the output codecs that are available and appropriate. Agency gives you even presets. For example, you can choose a Youtube defined by default as an option for the export of the H264. But be careful settings because it is very often so that even if you have the correct settings in your Media window export the framerate and the dimensions of the image may be different within a codec settings that are available for some of them via the button settings in the codec, like in the image below. You can see that even if the parameters are all corresponding inside the export media dialog box they are not the same in the local parameter of codec

In any case to look at the summary field and to see that these settings match. Including two of them having the same field order (IE no as it is progressive images in my example. As below:

Anyway, as I said there are a lot of things to go wrong. I think that a lot of reading operating instructions is in your future, at the same time, it will be better, perhaps, if you use iMovie which is good enough for simple editing - the kind you seem to do without steep of a learning curve. I use it myself for a few quick changes on the go.

It will be useful. Good luck.

  • What kind of deinterlacing made first?

, I learned a few years ago that deinterlacing was intended to get rid of the effects of stairs when display progressive scan monitors, and involved throwing a whole field (half lines!) and replace the gaps with a copy of the other field. A Looper 1 (or 2) would be what you saw. I always thought that this method of junking the half of the image is incredibly useless (maybe it was just explained to me evil!) and when the question arose today I wondered if the issues have improved since then, I've done a bit of research on Google.

http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/deinterlacing#Deinterlacing_methods describes several types of deinterlacing

Premiere Pro will provide deinterlacing when that you encode a final output file where you have this choice in your output codec.  There can be no deinterlacing (to my knowledge) during playback and editing options.  IOW - codec is a codec...

    • I do not have which version applies here, but I guess that is selective detection of movement or mix

  • How you can extend the SX80 SpeakerTrak 60 codec?

    Hello

How you can extend the SX80 SpeakerTrak 60 codec? I want to rack mount the codec but saw nowhere a how far the codec can be the 60 SpeakerTrak. Especially concerned about the HDMI cables on both cameras.

    Thanks in advance.

    Mark

If you use only cables HDMI, we managed to stretch the cameras at 15 metres with a quality cable.  If you use HDMI--> externders Twisted Pair, you can get much larger distances (and different Extenders give you differring distances, but are usually around the mark of 50 m for full HD).  We do it with success in a number of our rooms.

Of course, as is controlled by Ethernet, the usual limit of 100 meters applies to that as a Cat6 cable length "' copper pure, but you can go away with fiber or with additional active equipment if you really must.

  • After that effects lead stalls with ProRes Codec - output Module is not

    Hello world

I have an AE full working file I've worked for the last month and today, it is shocking, an export through the queue of rendering with Apple ProRes 422 crashed on the first image.

I have troubleshooted by removing the preferences of 2015 for CC AE, AE CC 2015, resettlement through the CC uninstall app.  Reduce the project, made test files to different codecs and determined that it is indeed the ProRes Codec, because made without loss of product and file Codec Animation without any problem.

I think I have an idea as to what has caused this, I have another concert, requiring some FCP X for certain exports and I installed it, not realizing that he would blow away my FCP 7 Suite.  I had to spend some time, reinstall 7 FCP FCP X alongside earlier this week and went through the trial stages.  I confirmed earlier that the ProRes codec exists because I returned to ProRes in FCP X, but I wonder if this may have damaged something with the codec for AE.

Curious to know if anyone has any suggestions, I'm on a 2011 17 "MacBook Pro 2.5 GHZ i-7, running all the files on a server RAID Thunderbolt TB 12 8 GB of Ram.  Before you reinstall, all cache files were redirected to the RAID server for performance, now, after the relocation of the media Cache model (shared between SOUL / body / AE) remains on the raid, however, the Disk Cache resets to default Mac library location.

Plugins for the AE file are all standard plugins, I have Trapcode and a few other standard plugins installed, but do not use them for this project.  I am particularly pleased to provide more information, just ask and I'll get back to you.  Thank you!

So, do not know what happened, I'm guessing that FCPX / FCP7 introduces some quirks with the package ProCodecs from Apple.  After execution permissions on my server, repair permissions YASU (yet another system utility), I finally made it and then gritted my teeth with the software update - not usually something I do in the middle of something.  Updated software provided a specific to FCP X update ProCodec which seems to have solved the problem.  So yay me.  Thanks for listening.

  • Capabilities of Cisco SX80

    Hello

I have a few questions about codec SX80:

1 the SX80 does support annotations?

2-if it's not and Samsung DM75D smart screen is tied to her, the SX80 will be able to pass the annotation generated on the screen at the other end?

    3. without the Multisite License can hosts it a conference video codec or not?

    Thank you

The SX80 does not support annotation.

The Samsung DM75D card show he has a video that seems to be a loop of it is entered or what is displayed on the screen (not too sure about what the loop is of however). So, it would be possible to send the annotation of the screen in the SX80. If it's a loop that is displayed on the screen, I got becareful to not accidentally send the output SX80 on itself through the DM75D, that is if you use it as a video-conference.

Without mulitsite, you have point to point calls with another person, if you want more, you have to have on the SX80 multisite or welcome the Conference on an external MCU or telepresence server.
