Cisco QoS SX80

Hello

I would like to ask for help on this.

A client have SX80 Cisco video endpoint, and the network administrator wants to configure QoS for this endpoint.

Here are the recommended settings:

* Replace video type of service (ToS) 41 AF - recommends that the network administrator to change the video 41 AF priority that has a priority over high and protected to the network congestion.
* Tag class EF - EF voice traffic has priority higher than our MPLS (Verizon) Setup.
* Adjust the audio codec to use G.729 only - G.729 audio codec uses the compression of voice that limits the VoIP traffic.

With the recommendations above, what are the settings must be configured from the SX80 Cisco codec?

Thank you and best regards,

Acevirgil

You can configure QoS settings in the network via the web gui or CLI section; XConfiguration network

Only DiffServ using decimal values are supported, and the recommended values are

  • audio and video 34 (equals AF41)
  • data 22 (corresponds to AF20)
  • 26 signal (equals AF31)

I don't know how you would limit so that it uses a particular audio codec.

  • Randomly call in Cisco TelePresence SX80.

    I have a recurring problem of many unknown incoming calls in a Cisco SX80 recently deployed. An example of the address that we get these calls from the East [email protected]/ * / I have no idea what is the part of the address in 1986, but the 129.59 address is the IP address of the codec. I am somewhat a novice in the world of VTC, so I am at a loss on how to stop the calls. Automatic response has been disabled pending just so that the device can be used.

    I assume that the system uses an accessible public IP address?  If it uses a public IP address, you should put behind your firewall with NAT, or allow only traffic from known IP addresses.  If you don't use a SIP, you can enable turn off completely, however if you are, you can disable SIP ListenPort and activate outgoing SIP so to avoid these calls, see bug CSCue55239.  There is a form any of these calls which will appear as coming from "cisco", the only way to prevent these is to put endpoint behind your firewall and use NAT or an ACL.

  • Cisco QoS for VoIP 300

    I have a question about best practices for packages of priority voice on the LAN side.

    We have everything configured on the firewall/edge device for the prioritization of voice, however I'm not sure of the exact to take sideways steps LAN to make sure that the LAN traffic will not affect voice quality.

    A very basic configurations: vlan 1 (the default) for data and vlan 100 (voice) - the ports are configured as general (1untagged, 10tagged).

    At this point, the phones are manually set with a vlan, but form read these forums I see that I can accomplish this by creating LLDP and automatically assigned to him the vlan instead, manual setting

    My main concern, however, as mentioned above, is QoS.

    Does anyone have a good practice or advice on how to Setup QoS specially for the voice.

    I found this pdf file, but I didn't know where they came up with the EIF and CBS values.

    https://supportforums.Cisco.com/docs/doc-13461

    This is my first post on the forums; Thanks in advance for any help provided.

    Hi Thomas, this is done automatically through the QoS of Basic. Within a bunch of tag VLAN, it is a value of CFP (3 bits). When the switch receives such framework it will honor the value based on this value of CFP.

  • The Cisco Telepresence SX80 solution help

    Hello

    I really want to get your help in this scenario.

    We have 2 branches and planning to set (for the first site 3 SX80 of three meeting rooms) and (one SX80 for another branch).

    We have all communications between sites works well and phones are connected using CUCM 10.5 my question how connect us these 2 branches to collect and SX80 features on site with a minimum of equipment?

    Can make us the video call normally trunk Sip or H323 or do we have to express way / telepresence Server?

    Please notify.

    Thank you

    Hello

    Could you say how the branches are connected to each other? It is through the Internet or VPN? Then we will know how to position the highways.

    If you have CUCM you will use as your calling command for your SX80s and write them down on it as SIP endpoints.

    SX80 endpoint can be ordered with multisite option so it can appeal a multisite up to 5 participants. You will need Telepresence server to host concurrent conferences with more than 5 participants in a conference. You also need a conductor when implementing telepresence servers to manage the resources of the Conference.

    Kind regards

  • Overheating of Cisco SX80 double camera

    We have a SX80 Cisco codec with dual cams installed at the front of the room who the speaker / auto track feature. This room was originally installed about 1 year ago. And just recently, I started to notice some flickering with capture our video cameras in the room of the VTC. In addition, the Auto Track feature pans and zooms to an individual speaker during a video call no longer works and manual tabs on the touch screen to control the cameras are inoperable as well.

    At this 1st, it was just the flickering I noticed and I simply unplugged feeding on both cams for a little to solve this problem. However, a week later... twinkling is back, but now came the problem with the Auto Track and manual controls for each input. After power to the Assembly of the whole camera to mount on the front of the room for about 30 minutes, it seems to solve the problem. But now again once this morning the Auto track does not work and the emission of heat from the base that the cameras are on is very hot.

    I've determined that the power that feeds on the Assembly of the camera at the front of the room is separated BC from the system of room in other words, when you stop AV system of the room through the touch screen, it is always power supplied to the Assembly of the camera with a separate. What has power constantly running on the cams, making them HOT.

    Has anyone else had this problem with the Assembly Speaker SX80 track? And if yes, what is the resolution other than intermittently, turning them off the coast from time to time. I know that this device is relatively new, so wonder if the circuit design within the frame of the Assembly of the camera is shotty and needs reworking.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Cisco SG-300 52 QoS default DSCP to queue mapping

    I am setting up QoS (Advanced mode) switch Cisco SG - 300 52.

    I decided to go with DSCP to manage the priority of the packet. While the implementation I found a configuration page (see the attachment for screenshot) where it is possible to map DSCP values in a particular queue. I did not quite understand the default settings of this mapping.

    The assignment of the queue increases from 1 to 4 for 0 to 47 DSCP values. Well, the 48-63 DSCP values were assigned #3 queue. In this way the package with value DSCP 56 will have lower priority than package with value DSCP 40. It makes no sense to me. Should not increase the priority (and thus the queue) that the increase of DSCP values?

    Why the 48-63 DSCP values were assigned #3 as default file?

    I think that the answer to this direct request found in RFC 2475

    Here is the link to the RFC.

    https://www.ietf.org/RFC/rfc2475.txt

    I think the info you're looking for are under classifiers. I deny not that under any normal logic to increment just respectively. For some reason, it was the standard/normal values agreed.

    I don't know with the first 6 bits in binary has something to do with the decimal value (expressed in a number which is not binary DSCP).  Also, I think it has to do with how the cycle increments of 8 values.

    By RFC 791, here are the priority values.

    https://www.ietf.org/RFC/RFC791.txt

    Example:

    000 = Best Effort

    001 = priority

    010 = immediate

    011 = audio/video.

    100 = flash on Ride

  • Profile of Cisco 42 '' question marking QoS DCSP for signage package

    Hello
    We have 42 profile Cisco with below specifiction.
    Software version: TCNC4.2.1.265253 product: TANDBERG profile 42 C20
    All the call made by Gatekeeper (VCS 7.1)
    DiffServ QoS is configured on the device.
    During the sip call or SIP registration, regardless of the package comes from video endpoint. I see the value DSCP is 0x00
    But any package from VCS, I see the DCSP value is AF31 0x1a.
    But we have configured singnaling (value 26) QoS on Cisco profile 42 end point. Screenshot is attached.
    Also, we have configured VCS Diffserv QoS and value 26.
    In this case, why we are not able to see any marking signs of Cisco profile 42?
    I have attached the screenshot of output wiresark. Also, I downloaded wireshark message output.
    For the RTP stream, we can see package is marked as being configured IE AF41.
    There is no other device does not change the marking.
    Please suggest.

    If moving to TCNC5.1.6 or even TCNC6.0.0 (just released) should solve the problem.

  • QoS on Cisco 7206VXR DMVPN

  • Cisco SX80 removing 'no camera not connected' OSD warning

    Hello.

    How can I remove the warning message "No camera connected" screen on?

    I use 4 entry and I do not need the camera.

    Thanks again!

    I just tested with a SX80, and from what I can tell, there is no way to disable the message will always appear unless a video input is detected on either HDMI 1 or 2.  What is the possibility of using either people like entry and change the configuration on it must match the input 4?  Another option is to move the OSD to another screen that you do not use, but this means that you will see all messages screen if they appear.

  • QoS is supported on the Cisco PIX 501 or 506th?

    Hello

    There is no mention of QoS in technical for the PIX 501 and 506 records but nothing for the 515. PIX OS 7.x configuration guides do not mention specific material support.

    Does anyone know if QoS is taken care of in the 501 or 506th - I need support lines expectations for VoIP over IPSec.

    Thank you

    Chris

    QoS is supported in 7.x code, you would have to level 501/506 to 7.x code, but this is not supported on these two models, the next logical solution would be to upgrade your PIX 501/506 to asa5505s.

  • SX80 - Cisco Telepresence

    Hi all;

    Help me please check how many sites, the support of CTS-SX80-IP40-K9?

    I set up a video conference room 6 sites. can suggest you for me?

    Thank you best regards &;

    Klein

    While it would not necessarily be to pretty on the screen, you can do with two SX80s with multi-site - call half endpoints of one and half of the other, then use another call to link the two.

    Then SX80 number 1 call settings 2 and 3 and also SX80 number 2.  SX80 number 2 would then call endpoints 5 and 6.
