Symbols of the timeline playhead

Hello world

Now, my head looks funny, a point on each side of it, or should I say, it's as if the playhead on timeline is surrounded by parentheses.

Where can I find info on the different symbols of the read head?

Kind regards

Ronald

It seems that you have enabled edit several images or onion. To disable it, use the buttons to toggle at the bottom of the timeline (mouse over buttons for their names).

  • Stop the timeline, but show a loop of symbol that the timeline is restarted

    Is it possible to stop a schedule but still have a symbol, more precisely a spritesheet symbol, continue to play?

    I'm working on a project that requires the end user to read a narrative text while the described process is illustrated by the graphic animation. The public is multicultural/lingual, if we want to leave as much time reading the text as it is necessary. Our solution for this so far has been to stop the scene with a trigger then have restarted the timeline with a mouse of the user, click. That has worked so far, but now I need to have the illustration animated in the background, while the timeline is stopped waiting for the user to restart the chronology. Is this possible? If this is not the case, how should this problem approaching, as the click of the mouse is part of a symbol used in other animations in a series?

    Thank you

    I managed to do work by looping the symbol Sprite sheet on his internal calendar.

  • How to add an event handler (to the click or mouseover) symbol on the timeline of the scene

    Is it possible to add an event handler on the main stage anime who controls a symbol?  Thus, for example, if you had several symbols on the stage, each with their own unique name, then on the main stage you wanted to add a list of event handlers specific to these symbols to affect a change when you interacted with this symbol.

    For example when you click on the symbol a few things happen here...

    (1) for (name of the symbol) click starts the animation of the symbol

    2) roll (symbol name) the symbol animation stops

    (3) the symbols background image is set on the main timeline.

    All this can be done easily on the symbol itself, but those is possible since the main timeline (scene).  Anyone know a solution?

    Yes

    1. Add jquery min CDN (https://code.jquery.com/jquery-2.1.1.min.js) to the script library (from the "Add js to URL" option.

    2. in the compositionReady event handler try something like that - the "many event handlers section" located here: http://learn.jquery.com/events/handling-events/

    Code example

    item = sym.$("btn");

    Element.on ({}

    MouseEnter: function() {}

    Do something

    Alert ("gliding on a div");

    },

    MouseLeave: function() {}

    Do something

    Alert ("the mouse has left a div");

    },

    click on: function() {}

    Do something

    Alert ("clicked on a div");

    }

    });

    end of the sample code

    A way to do among many others. In the use above cases pay special attention to the point of separation between the "chained" events

  • Start time set for the symbols on the timeline?

    Hello

    I've built several buttons - like symbols - that animate on screen and wants to shift departure times a little effect.

    I thought I'd be able to simply drag the symbols on the stage and set hours of departure by clicking on and dragging them on the timeline, but that doesn't seem to work. I see the 'read' and a + button but regardless of what I try, I can't seem to delay the start of the symbol.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you very much, I am stuck between the old Flash programming, development of Captivate and After Effects... Phew!

    Hi Richard,

    I created a simple example for you. Check if it's how you want to play the animation.

    Thank you and best regards,

  • Combining the symbols in the timeline

    Hello world... I'm new user who is trying to develop the simple game... I use the model to create the game... I was wondering how to insert symbols in the current timeline... which means I'm trying to create new layer and convert it to a symbol but I don't how to combine with existing chronology. Is there someone know about this and help me?

    Thanks in advance!

    Here's a way to do what I think you want to do.  In the menu bar, select Insert-> new symbol-> Movieclip.  Assign a name to describe what it is, and then click OK.

    You can add what you want in the timeline of this new symbol, including the new layers and code and designs etc...

    When you want to go back first to place this symbol in the main scenario for the file, choose Edit-> Edit the Document to return you to the main timeline.  Then to the discovery of the library symbol you just created and place it where you want in the main timeline.

  • Move all the symbols in the timeline

    Hi again. Another question: I need to move an entire animation a little on the stage during the duration of the timeline. What I have to change each frame X & Y a!
    There must be a way to make all frames at the same time. A search found nothing. Thank you.

    Thanks Chris!

  • Are preferably looking to keep the focus of the timeline in place after the playhead to play off the screen

    Hi all
    I think I used to have this setting put in place in a previous version of PP, but I can't remember where it was. I would like to be able to keep the focus of the timeline in place and leave the playhead to play off the screen. At the moment if I'm working on a section of the timeline, as he plays and the playhead leaves the window it will pop the update so that the playback head is located near the left side of the window and away from the section, I was working on.

    Is there a setting to turn this off? I really prefer monitor me my position of the window. Thank you!

  • Do all the symbols hava a timeline?

    Hello

    I'm a bit confused by something in the Adobe help/use of symbols in animate CC PDF. Page 2 (of 8), under the heading "Types of symbols", he said "each symbol has a unique timeline." Later in the same paragraph, it says "graphic symbols add less than the size of the buttons or movie clips FLA file because they have no timeline.  This means that each type of symbol, with the exception of graphics, has a unique scenario?

    Could someone clarify this point? Maybe I'm not understanding something.

    Thank you.

    I didn't animate, but if it is the same as Flash, then graphics have a chronology.  If you happen to see one, then they have a.  The only objects that I know that do not have a shape any timeline are Sprites.

  • Can't see the animation of the symbol when it is placed on the timeline? Flash Pro CS6

    In Flash Profesional cs6 - I created a symbol (a MovieClip) with simple animation. It just grows. When I test the symbol I see that it works. But when I go to the timeline, put the symbol on frame one - add enough frames to account for the animation of the symbol - I can't see the animation happens. Can someone help me understand what I'm ins step sing? Thank you very much!

    BTW: If it's useful info: I am currently taking a simple picture of burst / star growing up – and you want to use 10 or so instances of that symbol to create fireworks in the sky.

    BTW 2: I don't see Flash Pro CC in the 'Community' dropdown - where should I post this?

    MovieClips defined in the timeline panel do not play when you scrub the timeline. You will need to use Test movie... to see the animation of the movieClip.

  • Replace the code in the timeline of a symbol

    My question is:

    I built a symbol and name it videoholder. Inside the symbol, I draw a Rectangel and

    name: Rectangel.

    Iput the following code on the first image/MS:

    var video_path = sym.$("Rectangel");

    video_path.html ("< video width ="750"height ="421 "src ="example.mp4"type =" video/mp4 "controls =" orders"< / video > ');

    So I remove the symbol of the scene.

    Now, I have placed different images as symbols on the stage.

    When I click on these images, I get the videoholder_image on the stage via the library createChildSymbol.

    What I want is to put a code on each image_symbol which allows me to change the code

    inside the Rectangel videoholder:

    var video_path = sym.$("Rectangel");

    video_path.html (' < video width = "750" height = "421" src ="example_new.mp4" type = "video/mp4" controls = "orders" < / video > ');

    I appreciate all the help

    (1) your project is difficult to decipher with named Rectangle or TextCopy items. Give descriptive names, or you will get lost when you open your project in a few months

    It is more readable when the instance names for the name of the symbol. For example videoHolder_1 videoHolder instance (and if there is a second instance, you name videoHolder_2).

    (2) do not use a sym.stop () of trigger to Mrs. 0 Instead uncheck autoplay of the symbol property (can be the symbol of the scene).

    (3) in your symbol videoholder, you used a trigger at 0 m A good place for initialization is the event creationComplete of the symbol Manager.

    But for now this code must be placed in the comments, because it will be replaced by executing the chooseVideo function.

    (4) why you use Tweenmax? The first interest dashboard animate should easily tween in the timeline panel.

    (5) work-all > work01: looks like useless, a second work-all.

    (6) the first error. In your videoholder > 0 ms shutter: sym.$("Rectangel")

    But in the function chooseVideo: sym.$("Holder"); should be "Rectangel.

    (7) second mistake. you define the overall function, but nowhere it is called!

    *

    Yes, tabula rasa. A symbol of work nests two symbols w_01 and w_02, the keys of access to each of the two videos.

    Contains a symbol videoHolder

    -a title element, text that will receive the title;

    -a videoFrame, the rectangle element that will contain the tag

    -a symbol of back_btn.

    The scene has its property autoplay set to false. By clicking on one of the buttons plays on the video of the label where videoHolder_1 slides up (and works has its display property set to none). A trigger of sym.stop () in the final position.

    document.compositionready event handler:

    sym.chooseVideo = function (numChoice)

    {

    radical var = "";

    Var title = "";

    Switch (numChoice)

    {

    case 1:

    radical = "video1";

    title = "this is video 1;

    break;

    case 2:

    radical = "video2";

    title = "and this one is 2 video."

    break;

    }

    build the

    var video_tag = '

    video_tag += '.mp4" poster="video/';

    video_tag += radical;

    video_tag += '.png" type="video/mp4" controls="controls">';

    var video_H = sym.getSymbol ("videoHolder_1");

    video_H.$('videoFrame').html (video_tag);

    video_H.$('headline').html (title);

    SYM. Play ('video');

    }

    works > w_01.click event handler:

    sym.getComposition () .getStage () .chooseVideo (1);

    works > w_02.click event handler:

    sym.getComposition () .getStage () .chooseVideo (2);

  • play movie clip symbol at the end of the animation, but does not appear in the timeline

    Work in Adobe Flash CS5

    When I play my movie in the Flash file, the animation stops at the end of the timeline, as it should. But when I test the movie, or export it to any film format, it will play an instance of a movie clip symbol that I used in the animation. There is no extra frame in the timeline panel beyond which must be considered to be the last image. Y at - it a setting or something I forgot that could cause this instance of the symbol to play at the end of the animation, without air in the main timeline? This can be corrected?

    your movieclip (or a parent) who plays on the main timeline or is loaded by your swf.  If you load this movieclip (published as a swf file), you can be sure that your movieclip (or a parent) is the culprit.

    Use the movie Explorer to find all instances of your movieclip using the library for this movieclip name.  If that does not reveal the culprit, you have either made a mistake in your search or if you have a movieclip in doubles.

  • Communicate with the symbols of the main timeline

    Hi, I created a movieclip and exported to Actionscript. I have a few cases of the new symbol (class) on the main time line and I have a few

    The timeline class code. Im trying to communicate with an instance of movieclip that is in the main timeline, but for some reason im getting

    a mistake. the name of the movieclip instance is mcGalleryWin. im sure that the keyword root has worked for me before in a similar situation

    but for some reason, this is not not workin now...

    I tried to trace (root) of the class and I don't get the main timeline.

    Code:

    imageLdr.load (imageReq);
    imageLdr.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, firstImageLoaded);
    function firstImageLoaded(event:Event) {}
    root.mcGalleryWin.addChild (imageLdr);
    }

    error:

    1119: access of property may be undefined mcGalleryWin through a reference with static type flash.display:DisplayObject.

    Try:

    MovieClip (root).mcGalleryWin.addChild (imageLdr);

  • How to remove an instance on the timeline and symbol

    I use Flash Professional CC 2014 on a Mac of Yosemite. I am a novice in Flash.Screen Shot 2015-01-08 at 1.31.31 PM.jpg

    I want to disappear from the oval and photo, then fade again. Any help would be greatly appreciated... Thanks in advance!

    -Gordie

    It's a fairly simple process. Make sure that everything you want to fade out is on its own layer. Select the layer on the image you want to boot and press F6. This will create a keyframe. Then go to the last image in the frame reange and create another keyframe (F6) finally go to the place you want it to fade out and select this image and also hit F6. Now click again on the image central key and right-click on it, then select Classic Tween. From there, you can go to the properties box that should be on the right side here. If not you can go to Windows > properties and the box will display. Once in the properties box simply select color and then select Alpha from the drop-down and drag the slider to 0%. Now when you play the timeline (Enter), he will start full 100%, melted and melted and then back again. If you want to keep the full 100% for a little image, then fade then fade toward the top and then stay that way you create two keyframes for as long as you want the pic to stay 100% and THEN create your picture-key to activate the alpha to 0% I hope this helps! for what it's worth, you can find plenty of tutorials here: learn Flash | Hexjibber

  • Shortcut key to a point in the playhead on the timeline?

    Hi just made the switch from the FCP 7. Y at - it a keyboard shortcut to move the playback cursor to an inpoint on the timeline? At the FCC, it's the right arrow.

    Tiny little problem but makes all the difference in terms of acceleration of the edict.

    Thank you

    Here is a list of those that come with the program. You can customize many of them as you wist too... instructions at the bottom of the page.

  • Scrub through the timeline of a symbol with an invisible cursor

    OK, I searched on through messages and messages on and off the EA forums and nothing I found actually seems to do what I need.

    What I have is a symbol ("PAN"), which contains 3 layers of animation to create a posted parallax effect is far right to 0ms is extreme left position to 1000 ms. I set compositionReady to keep up to 500 ms (the middle point of the Pan). To do this, not AutoPlay.

    I want to do this is to drag this pan left or right and have the symbol animate in a good way to show that Parallax pan.

    I think that the best way to do it is to have an element point invisible size, that can be moved left and right - limits - and who controls the chronology of the symbol of the PAN.

    I know how to do the daggable elements and limit their movements using JqueryUI. I also know how to call the position of being a movement. What I do not know how to convert this position both a chronology. Is it possible to do this using Jquery slider?

    I hope that makes sense and someone can help.

    Thank you

    Justin
