  How can I move a catalog between two computers.

  I tried the backup, but I find myself with Documents & settings - my photos - documents and settings - my photos.

  Any sensible Adviser would be appreciated.

  If you will store only the backup on the external device, then it wouldn't be the same catalog.

  You will need to merge the catalog each time after mounting on one.

  You can save backups on the primary computer and an external device as well.

  I have two computers and an android device. I have set up A computer with sync, and it connects to a device and a virtual machine running in the computer, without any problem. I have another device that is not synchronized with them. It seems to be loged on the same account of Firefox. If I click Synchronize under preferences tab, all the options are checked and the account name is displayed. However, neither the favorite nor other data seem to be in sync to the device. Any thoughts?

  Thank you for your question. I'd be happy to help you explore this question with you. Here are a few troubleshooting steps that we can take:

  1. Please make sure that the version of the browser on Android is superior or 29.
  2. Please check in the accounts that there is no (obsolete) account.
  3. Please also try to remove the account, add once more
  4. Please, I beg you, then take a test and add a new bookmark, password or something on behalf of the Fund. Click on "Synchronize now".
  5. Set the account and synchronize it manually in the menu account on the mobile device.

  Note it may take a long time to synchronize on the first time, but please post back with the results and if there are errors, then, we can allow error logs.

  Only IMAP e-mail accounts sync on devices. That's how to operate these services - nothing else is required to achieve this.

  If your email is responsible for no synchronization across all computers and devices, you must have type accounts pop connect you to these accounts via a web browser and look at your options and account services. POP is such an old system these days there is almost nobody left that enemies do not switch to IMAP.

  If all this is confusing, call your email providers and ask them to make the change on their end, then ask the information you will need to enter on your computers and your iDevices.

• What the your work flow using Lightroom on two computers?

  I realize similar questions have already been asked, but after much research, I gave up on the dream of seamlessly sync between my laptop and desktop computer facilities (and catalogues) in Lightroom.

  I thought that Lightroom Mobile hold the answer, but this can only sync with a catalogue and a mobile device. Then I tried to open the same catalog (which resides on an external drive) on both computers, but my laptop is connected via a network. It seems that an opening on a network catalog is not allowed? This leaves export and import of catalogs, but to be honest, it's a little a rigmarole.

  So, I find myself with my office and the catalogue of my collection of photos (which works fine). That just leaves me with my laptop, which is frankly a bit redundant.

  I'm curious to know how other people work with two computers... two catalogs and never the two are irreconcilable? Or export catalogs between devices permanently? Or something else?

  We do not recommend our user to upgrade their catalog on the network drives, because you could faces challenges to access and update.

  If your images can reside on the network drive, but the catalog must be on a local drive on the computer or any external drive.

  One method would be to have FCP X installed on Mac and use a fast external disk to store your libraries.

  The libraries will open and be usable on Mac.

  Just make sure that the media is stored as managed and not external.

  This means that all media will in the library.

  Well, I have two computers at the same time with the same version of Windows XP which is XP PRO SP2. I don't have not currently updated to SP3 for the simple fact that the two are about to switch to Windows 7.

  The reson I try to connect these two computer this way is because my laptop has received such a bad for some reason virus whenever I tried to put it on her she would never do past the start screen or when I typed in the password it says access denied. I used Spotmau to a second partition on the hard drive and installed windows xp pro. I can see all the original (Windows Vista) OS files and all the stuff that I had to get out of it, but there are a few things that I have to go through ect... ect... The virus has managed to eat the automatic recovery partition and my late of course never did no restore CD anyway, long story short, I'm trying to get the lap top online via ethernet to my office. What I have is a wireless linksys with 4-port ethernet router. My internet connection comes from my mobile phone via the usb port. So what im trying to do is it here...   ISP (via usb) > Desktop (via ethernet) > router (via ethernet) > Lap Top... Reason for this is that I can not find the wireless card drivers for XP given the computer came with Vista. Last night I put in place the network using the network set up, and it worked for a period of 45 minutes, until the power went and when it came back it wouldn't work. There is no problem with the router or other hardware wise. Ivetried turn off all firewalls ect... and still nothing on the top of the Tower, but the office still works.

  Well, you have a router, that should do it is quite easy. Follow the link below, its what I used to put in place and never had a problem. Also, a couple of think to try. 1. disable the DHCP on the router and setting the 2 PCs of static. 2. with the help of a cable crossed to connect the two computers.

  On EACH computer, follow these steps...
  Open Windows Live Mail > tools > accounts > your account > properties > advanced > under delivery, put a check mark on "leave a copy of messages on the server" > OK

  Note: make sure you do the same on both computers.
