  You won't lose data when you remove an iPhone, unless you're in the middle of the backup or synchronization of the device.

  If you see no activity in iTunes/Photos/etc... Then, it is safe to unplug.

  With a card reader (SD card?) you do drag the desktop icon to the trash. It turns into an arrow when you drag an icon ejector.

  Similarly, you can click Finder on the dock, then locate the reader on the left column and click on the "arrow" to the right of the device to eject it.

  I hope that you are not in a surprise but a MacBook Air not backup to iCloud. It can record data in iCloud drive (if you saved it specifically to this place) and can synchronize Photos, Contacts, etc to iCloud if you had set it to do. You can use any computer and connect to https://www.icloud.com/ to see what is stored. I hope this is good news and that it contains what you hope.

  You are allowed to have two facilities activated, so it shouldn't be a problem with facilities to work on both machines.  If by chance you somehow tied up two activations for a machine you can have Adobe support help solve this cat thrue.

  I understand that you just bought a MacBook Air in an Apple store, and when you plug your iPhone 6 in it, you are to hear a sound indicating that the connection does not work.  If your MacBook Air has a port USB - C, you must use the USB - C for Lightning cable to connect your iPhone.

  I opened the Photos. Plug in phone. Import photos. Import photos. I can then put them in subfolders or keep them in the last import. Then when I use Facebook or other poster one of the photos, they do not show when I search for them. I have to restart the Macbook Air then so, here they are. As fun as hundreds of times over and over. I see that a similar question was posted without real answers. Please help before I go back to Windows. Also, when in photos, when I try to add in the right pane to the left pane, the left pane will be magically drop-down or go up.

  Photos needs to close the preference files and update the library of photos for the media browser, and your web browser needs to read the updated files.  Try to exit the Photos and your web browser instead of restarting the computer. Then, restart both applications.

  Or try, if logging and the new will suffice. That will also ensure that the photo library will be updated for the media browser.

  There is nothing necessarily wrong with 'other' as long it's documents, etc. that you need.

  Make a backup and a restore just grow what you have now. I would not recommend it.

  What, in particular, looking to sync with the Mac iCloud? If you mean things like Contacts, calendars, Notes, etc., then you want to go in under the  system preferences, click the iCloud and connect to iCloud there with your iCloud ID. Then select which items you want to sync'd via iCloud.
