"System Tools" icon is out of the office, lack also disk cleanup and defragmentation in Windows XP

The 'System tools' icon on my desktop disappeared.  I used it when I defragmented the computer and disk cleanup.

When I hit 'start' 'Programs', 'Accessories' I have 'System tools' option, but when it is open, the icons are many and unintelliglble for me. There is nothing of cleaning disk or Defrag.  How can I get my old icon on the desktop to disk cleanup and defragmentation among other choices?

Thanks for the tips.

    Cleanmgr
    Dfrg.msc

You can restore all of the 'Accessories' group (including system tools) by following the directions here--> http://windowsxp.mvps.org/Accessories.htm

Or you could just create shortcuts to

    and
    %SystemRoot%\System32\cleanmgr.exe

Note that % SystemRoot % is the directory where Windows.  You can use this form or explicit as in the example for the shortcut from the Defrag.

Disk Cleanup tool detects removes the old compresses files unused for some specified duration and there is no way to decompress these files.

    Hello KCD-622,

Thanks for the response back.  If you have your data backed up on an external device or a dvd, you can always perform a clean install and let it update.

With the boot, you disable the services to see if any third-party service is causing the problem.

    Please let us know status.

  • How can I drag images out of the office directly in the flow of the text?

Hello. I have not figured this out and could use some help.

I know I can drag images from the finder into an InDesign doc and even pull the frame size by.

I know that I can cut the object (image) and paste it into the text flow so that my screenshots going on with the text.

Is my question, there a way to drag images (screenshots) directly in the flow of the text?

Or y at - it a setting where the area of the image runs automatically the text when dragging into the document. Thank you, it will save a lot of cutting travel time, then repasting in the text stream.

I don't think so. Because when you're dragging to the desktop (or Adobe Bridge) and you enter the InDesign page, the cursor is expected to create a new image, or (if it is on an existing framework), replace the contents of this framework. But the manufacturing process of an anchored object requires the use of the text tool to make a text insertion.

    Hi georgeholly,

Disk Cleanup only removes temporary files, empty the Recycle Bin, and removes a variety of file system and other items that you no longer need.

So you would have not lost any critical information from your computer.

  • After foolishly doing a system restore I can't find the files I thought I saved, and excel does not work.

Excel is asking for the product key and I have the key to the offfice of microsoft, I bought. This is not correct.

    Hello

System Restore makes the computer settings to an earlier point in time.

System recovery is reinstalled the operating system configuration (new condition)

System Restore and system recovery are often terms that are confused.

Many people use both terms to refer to reinstalling the operating system; effectively use the machine to factory settings; It seems that you have done.

Reinstalling the operating system wipe the hard clean of everything.

If you have done this, you can try this free program to see what 'lost' data, it can find.

    http://www.Piriform.com/Recuva

    Regarding your problem of Office:

You don't say how you have reinstalled Excel.

Are you try to put your paid for the Office product key in a trial version Office pre-installed?

If so, uninstall the Office of judgment and reinstall your version of Office purchased the original media he came on, CD, DVD.

And another thing: the product key on your computer is for the Windows operating system, not for the office.

Office must be purchased separately. (you said, but I wanted to clear it for you)

    See you soon.
