T130 keyboard Protection

Hello

I saw a protector of keyboard of silicone for the T130 series with product code PA3610U-1ETC.
I can see from the pictures it is in the United States keyboard layout however. Is there an equivalent product, what am I looking for in respect of a keyboard on a T130 UK layout.

Thank you

What I see for the first time, but as I see that nothing is printed on this protector (that's obvious) and you just want to see your keyboard with original layout.

In General, this keyboard can be used on several models of laptops with the same keyboard size. If I understand right it is not product specific to the country.

  • Satellite Pro P300-19 q - keyboard problem

    Hello

I bought a * Satellite Pro P300-19 q * laptop and got the shipment yesterday. I am happy with the features and performance of the laptop. It has a keypad as well. The problem is the key board sinks and rises all the keys the keys (lower-right). I feel like its not secure properly. The key to this place Board feels fragile and irritating during use. Even some of my laptops at low prices to friends do not experience this problem. I can't live with it like that because it's a new laptop.
Is there a solution to this problem?

    Thank you

    Hello

Satellite Pro P300 I almost three months now and I can confirm that keyboard on this area is not stable on the other side, but it moves when I press with very great strength. Typing normal I do not use so much force and I have very sensitive keys. Just give a contact, and the symbols are on the screen. I use laptops for a year now and type on the computer keyboard is different as standard desktop with large and robust keys keyboard.

To be honest, I don't see any problem here. Maybe you use to force much press. If you check the mechanism under the keyboard protects it's so small and sensitive, and you can press the keys very gently.

So for me there is no problem at all. If you think that the keyboard should be more service contact stabile and explain the situation.

According to the question that you provided if the laptop is under pressure in the bag and as it is a model to screen touch there could be opportunities for brands of keyboard, I suggest you to use a keyboard protection to avoid further damage.

    Hello

First of all if you open Notepad, you will lose the warranty.
Second, before you remove the covers it of necessary to remove all the devices option. (battery, hard drive, diving, etc.)
It is important to remove the keyboard, as usually the screws under the keyboard protect the lower lid. In addition, the screws on the underside of the laptop must be removed.
Well, that's all I know and if you want to know more details, so please ask to the ASP.

  • Backlit keyboard for Satellite Pro T130

I have a Satellite Pro T130 I have difficulties to use in dark or poor light. Is there an option of backlit keyboard? If yes how I turn it on?

    Hey Buddy,

I checked the specs on the official website of Toshiba's Satellite Pro T130 and it seems this model isn't t equipped with backlit keyboard and insofar as all T130 models using a standard keyboard of half bright.

So I think you have to life without this feature on T130 ;)

  • After showing the keyboard does not work protected void paint (Graphics graphics)

    Hello

I am facing a big problem. Need your help.

I've implemented TouchEvent and VerticalFieldManager-> screen paint().

TouchEvent works well. But the paint method is confusing after the virtual keyboard is displayed.

    My code is as follows:

    public MyScreen extends MainScreen {

        private VerticalFieldManager vfm = null;

        public MyScreen() {         super(MainScreen.NO_VERTICAL_SCROLL);         vfm = new VerticalFieldManager(Manager.USE_ALL_HEIGHT | Manager.USE_ALL_WIDTH){              protected void paint(Graphics graphics) {                   //paint methods              }         };    }

         protected boolean touchEvent(TouchEvent event) {         if(!event.isValid()) {        return false;   }         if(//Check touch conditon) {               //Do something               return true;         } else {               return super.touchEvent(event);         }     }}

    You can correct code above?

This method of paint does not work after showing the keyboard.

    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for your reply. Guy.

I found my bug. This problem is related new instance in my code.

If the keyboard does not at the present time, it seems that the screen height is decreased by the height of the virtual keyboard. It must be calculated in your code.

  • Satellite T130-16w shortened wireless keyboard no longer works

Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Toshiba Satellite T130-16w Windows 7

Several months ago, I deleted some of the bloatware factory on my laptop because of the downturn. I checked that all was not necessary before deleting, I think I might have made a mistake. Since then, I have used mobile internet. Today I came to turn on the wireless function + F8 key does is nothing more. The small menu without wireless/bluetooth does not appear. Without wire is currently disabled and I can't get it there.

Wireless is enabled in the BIOS. In Device Manager, it appears under the name of work and active. The computer is by all means put in place to use it, I can't get the key to do something, so I can't activate it. Oddly, I turn bluetooth on and off separately, but not wireless.

I updated the driver for the wireless, but the driver of the shortcut key is not anywhere on the site. I tried searching it elsewhere but he couldn't find for windows 7. Can I use the XP one, or the one of a different model of Toshiba? The T130 section just not return results.

It sounds like the shortcut key is the question? Does anyone know where I could find the driver? Is it possible to turn on the wireless without using the function key (there is no switch)? As through windows? I have been trying to unravel for 4 hours and got nowhere.

    Thanks for reading.

    Hello

Win 7 requires Toshiba VAP (value added) installation for FN keys work.
Visit the page of the Toshiba UE driver and you can find the VAP for Win 7 64 bit

If you need the PPV for Win 7 32 bit, choose another series of the laptop and use the VAP released an another laptop.
The VAP is not in the laptop series.

Try another keyboard and/or a system restore.

    Restore point:

    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/

Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

  • I cannot connect to my iMac and have keyboard problems.

I got my Imac since 2009.  Currently, I have the installed El Capitan OS but I still have the original

Drive on OS X that comes with it.  I'm the only person who uses it to my account is the only one on this subject.  I have installation log on password for security protection.  Today when I tried to log on it would not accept my password.  I tried to enter several times and it wouldn't work.  I tried to reset my password via the master password, but I could not remember what is my master password.  Then I rebooted and went into recovery mode.  However, when I tried to type resetpassword in the box Terminal, my keyboard would not type the correct letters.  I would like to start typing and rese appears on the screen, but no "t" and the word would always come wiord or some other drift upward.  I tried to type several times watching my keyboard to ensure I was hitting the right keys and still nothing worked.  I don't know whether it was a problem of keyboard or if my Imac is infected.  I would be very happy and support - could someone give me

It's more; y as a KB problem, but have you tried at that time to unplug the KB & reconnect it?

  • Why tabs, windows and sometimes ignore the shortcut keyboard (CMD + W)? I keep having to go into file > close tab

Tabs in Firefox seem to ignore my orders sometimes seemingly random. Perhaps even more so when the tab contains a video, although I could be wrong.

I use a 13-inch, mid 2009 Macbook Pro installed OSX 10.10.2 (the latest build), but this also happens on 17 inches from my father-in-law, Early - 2008 Macbook Pro as well.

If a plugin like Flash has focus, then the plugin gets all keys and you have to click outside the plugin to remove the development of the plugin and make the keyboard work again.
I don't think that protected by Flash mode applies to Mac.

On a Mac, you may also be unable to move to HTML5 media as an alternative player, because with this drive will work the keyboard shortcuts.

  • Keyboard exhausted already?

So, I recently bought a 13 inch, Macbook air, around April, but it seems that the space bar and several of the keys are already exhausted, get a brilliant texture. Y at - it something I am doing wrong? I feel like they should not wear out so quickly.

Don't know what you describe? I got a Macbook Air for 2011, and my keyboard looks as it did when I bought it. Do you just a bunch of lotion on your hands?

Have you thought to do a keyboard overlay to protect the keys:

  • How (re) - add Apple keyboard to Bootcamp (Windows 7)

Hello, I've been running bootcamp windows 7 on iMac no problem for two years.  It was wired apple keyboard (w / numeric keypad).  Today it suddenly stopped working.  It does not show as one of the screen "devices."  I plugged on a MacBook, work very well.  so the problem doesn't seem to be the keyboard itself.  All devices plugged into USB work fine, it's not the USB ports.  Also tried to add the wireless keyboard that came with the iMac does not recognize.  Can anyone help?  Thank you.

    Hey there cl6120,

Welcome to the communities of Apple Support!

Let's take a moment and get the keyboard to work again, your Windows partition. I can imagine the challenge of computing without it! To ensure that your information is protected, it is always better to create a backup of the entire system. Find the steps detailed here:

Use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac

Go ahead, this is an incredible resource that directs you to a resolution:

Use your Windows with Boot Camp Apple keyboard

    More precisely...

If your keyboard does not work

When you use Bootcamp to install Windows on your Mac, it installs the Windows support software (drivers) that allow you to use the features of the Apple keyboards in Windows. If your keyboard works start from your Mac OS X but not of Windows, try to reinstall the Windows support software from the Boot Camp Assistant.

  • Macbook Air trackpad and keyboard do not respond

So, the trackpad and keyboard on my MacBook Air (13-inch mid-2013) died mid sentence the other day without discernible reason. No hits, no spill - just throw in the towel. I've had Macs fail before, but it is always due to a catastrophic incident of coffee or a drop of water. All other issues I've ever had, I was able to solve. I'm stumped on this one. Have not been able to find a solution here, so I thought I would post. (The first time poster, so apologies if I did badly.)

I got a keyboard and a USB mouse and the machine still works perfectly. The only key that works on the built-in keyboard is the key to power. So I did the obvious things:

    -SMC reset

    -Reset the PRAM

    -Start

    Nothing.

But then I tried a diagnostic test (restart while pressing D) and the trackpad and keyboard we are open! Diagnostic tests reported no problem, but then as soon as I connected from this screen... nothing new. But, as I said, with a USB keyboard/mouse, it works perfectly. I'm typing on it now. Also updated for OSX El Capitan 10.11.5, but there was no joy to be there either.

So I took it to the Genius Bar and they told me, it would probably need a logic board replacement, but that seems not good not me since everything else works perfectly well. I'm running out of ideas, but I don't really want to leave still on it! Note that it is of course out of warranty too. If there is no simple solution, I am open to get inside.

I would be recognizing any new thinking that the community might have. Thank you very much!

    Hello

I'm sorry to say, all signs from your description point to a number of logic board. Without a guaranteed protection or apple, it will cost a little more. Unless you are ready to use a USB keyboard or wireless and a mouse, there is a hardware malfunction that prevents keyboard and mouse operation. Apple uses a program called a "MRI" (Mac resource Inspector) who determines whether a aspect any may be defective, and the Genius Bar has enough experience to say what the signs are pointing. I would like to trust them on this one, it is not just something on the side of software or firmware that you can do.
