  I updated a Micro Tower 3515 Windows XP Pro to windows 7 pro (32 bit).

  I now need to find the location of the (USB) Universal Serial Bus controller as that were not found under the DEVICE MANAGER.

  I've been on the Support site, and while he acknowledges my Tower unit and displays a list of downloadable drivers, the USB controller is not listed. I also installed the support Assistant software,

  Can anyone suggest a way to install the appropriate driver.

  I just installed windows 7 on my laptop Pavilion 15-ab066n, it came with windows 8. I have difficulties to find universal serial (USB) bus driver and there are also two unknown devices, I was on the site of HP driver and there is not a link for the driver for the chipset. Please someone know where I can find this driver or what the chipset is if I can get it directly from intel? or what are the two unknown devices, they are not player card or bluetooth as I installed the drivers for the HP site.

  Try to install manually as follows...

  Go to Device Manager and click on the unknown device of 6007 requiring the driver.

  Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.  Select her browse my computer for driver software option and find the folder of the driver that was created when you ran the file.

  This file will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp71811.

  There is no information online on what model of card wireless (network controller) of your laptop is.

  Thank you for posting material ID for the network controller, so I know what model wireless card it is and then I'll post the link for the driver, you need to.

  To find the hardware ID, go to the Device Manager and click on the network controller who need the driver.

  Then click on the Details tab in the upper part of the window network controller.

  Now you will see a drop-down list of property and it will be set to the Description of the unit.

  On this list and select the 2nd (Hardware ID).

  However, I just thought about it: I did a search of the Bus USB controller hardware id and noticed on the 3540 Dell chipset is Intel 8 running on the processor Interl i5 4th Gen. So I did a search for drivers USB 3.0 on the Intel site and installed successfully.
