I just bought a T430 via Ebay and very happy. The seller says he has a SD reader but I got the laptop. I can see a pretty large cavity where it should be the SD reader but reader SD No.. This that I have to buy something that goes into this cavity (then the SD card goes into it) or does it mean do not have an SD card reader? Thank you very much

    Hello

Welcome to the Community Forums of Lenovo!

If you have a slot for SD card reader Express 34 mm wide, it would be on the right side of the machine. Your machine may have an Express card and the media card reader slot in which case you can get a map of multicard reader Express Card.

    I hope this helps!

  • Model 2347-E86 T430 - possible to install a COMPREHENSIVE wireless network card?

Hi, I'm buying a model opportunity T430 2347-E86. Can I install a Wireless WAN card module in this model? I think about the purchase of the Sierra Wireless 3 G Card MC8355 Gobi3000 HS2430 HSPA + card EV - DO REV A. thanks.

    Hello

T430 supports the mini card pci-e wwan. But Lenovo portable computers will not work with Gobi 3000 HS3240, because of this model (HS3240) is designed for HP laptops. So, T430 same primer not with this modem installed.

If you want to get the 3 G card, buy modem with Lenovo service p/n - a) RUF 04W3785 (it's the Gobi 3000) or b) 04W3786, 60Y3297 (H5321 Ericsson). Note, you might be interested in getting 3 G/LTE - Sierra mc7710, FRU 04W3821 card.

  • T430s card reader cannot read the SDHC 16 GB card

My t430s cannot read 16 GB SDHC card that I use in my camera. Card is formatted in FAT32. Additional audit, the ricoh card reader, that I tried to put a 4 GB SDHC card and he was able to read, so I guess it's a driver issue I would be solved since the card reader is advertised as compatible SDXC, so it is not sensible for it is not not able to read a SDHC 16 GB card.

I tried to install the latest driver for it on the lenovo support site and windows says new drivers are already installed.

  • NVIDIA graphics card does not work on T430S with Windows 8

My T430S laptop running Windows 8 and has a NVIDIA graphics card. Somehow, I could never get into the control panel NVIDIA and received the error message below. I checked the setting in the BIOS and it seems that NIVDIA Optimus mode is not available on Windows 8. I've updated the latest driver published in February 2013 for Lenovo, but it does not solve the problem. I was wondering how I could use the NVIDIA card on my compueter.

    Hi, jumper1127

Also there is a BIOS update available for your machine that came out at the same time as the pilot of the Optimus. Which can be found here and can help your problem.

Good luck. Let me know how it goes

  • Dell PowerEdge T430 using 1 PCIe slot for a PCIe of Sound Blaster card

Got a T430 with RAID and network NIC using the PCIe connectors have only Slot 1, which is "Platform Controller Hub. Can I use Slot 1?

I do not know whether the server will support a sound card, but you can try. Looking at the docs here slot 1 and 2 are provided and controlled by the Board of Directors system, slot 3 and 4 by cpu1 and 5, 6 by cpu2. Location 1 is usable.

  • T430 - (eventually dislodged) network/ethernet card problem?

I have an ethernet connection that suddenly cut yesterday; my laptop does not recognize that there is an ethernet cable connected to it. He did once before, but mysteriously dressed himself. No chance now. The network light does not appear when I plug the ethernet cable, but I checked (by plugging in another laptop) who works in the internet and the cable is fine. Which indicates that the problem lies with the network adapter.

I suspect the network card (or whatever the thing you plug the ethernet cable) is filed incorrectly, such that it does not recognize that the cable is plugged in, even if it isn't a very informed opinion. Nothing shows up on a scan or network hardware diagnostics, and I can always get wifi; the map itself seems to work, but for the connection. Disabled/re-enabled network card, so I'm suspecting it's a physical connection problem. In addition, both times where my ethernet connection has stopped working, it was immediately after I came home from uni, with my laptop having had the opportunity to wiggle around in my bag. All this comes after my laptop received a slight bump and some minor visible body damage (although all the NIC has worked perfectly fine).

Are there measures suggested to take to solve this problem, or ideas on what exactly is the problem?

There is no card. Connectors and circuits are part of the motherboard. You have a guarantee, although if there is physical damage in this area, it will probably not be covered without cover against accidental damage?

  • Three monitors with a single video card?

    Hey guys,.

I have a user with a T430 possessing a video card Intel HD connected to a Mini Series 3 with 2 DVI connectors.

She claims that it connected to his laptop to another docking with the same configuretion and she was able to work with 2 monitors connected to the docking station and its display LCD on the laptop, I tried the same thing with its current docking station and it will not recognize 2, the LCD on the laptop and 1 on the monitor connected to the docking station.

I've never seen this work with just a video card, I saw him when he has a second video card in there, but once again, she claims, he worked on an another docking station (exactly the same thing from a work colleague) it is plugged.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

The T430 is able to support three LCD, if you use the 3 series with more mini docking station with 2 monitors connected via DVI or Displayport. The third monitor can be internal or external connected via the mini laptop own DP.

  • T430: Cannot change the GPU using the NVIDIA Control Panel

    Hello world

I recently bought a T430 including a NVIDIA NVS 5400 M. games graphics card (for example, Max Payne 3) used to run fast, using the NVIDIA GPU. Today, I tried to play a video game once more (after having not played for several weeks). Unfortunately, my OS (Win7, 64-bit) assigns the GPU from Intel, resulting in a much lower speed. Using the NVIDIA Control Panel, I can't change my favorite GPU (changes will not be saved). I already run a update of Lenovo and installed the latest graphics driver (296.88), which resulted in no improvement.

When you start a game, I can choose my graphics manually, but I would like to configure some general settings using the control panel.

    Do you have any solutions?

    Thank you very much.
