  It is the 3rd bad experience with my T61p since I bought it in August 2008. Less than 18 months.

  As expected, a young man called me the morning, 28 Jan and came home. He used 4 screwdriver to remove at least 50 screws. Finally, the motherboard was removed and replaced by a new one. After putting all the pieces together, the young man has tested my T61p briefly. It worked. But Vista says I was victim of counterfeit software. I just call Microsoft to activate Vista.

  Not too bad. But I still buy nothing from Lenovo due to the very bad experience of the battery.

  Your 6 s iPhone is under warranty - if it is still in the country where it was purchased.

  Take it to an Apple Store or Service Center authorized Apple and let them evaluate what went wrong.

• WHY MY E-260 DIED SUDDENLY?

  I have a Sansa E-260 which is only 18 months old.  I used it last weekend to labor day, and it worked fine.  I went to start it today and... NOTHING... NADA... ZIP FASTENING.    I called technical support and they were basically no help at all.  What in the world would cause this happens suddenly?  It will not even appear on my computer screen.  Can someone out there please help?  Tech is certainly not!  It's been 6 months out of warranty and it looks like I'm $ 150 million!

• My hard drive died suddenly, and after that I am unable to find my old favorites (used the synchronization of the former). Bookmarks are on your server, can I get back them?

  I have the key to firefox sync (used for synchronization of the former) and everything, but of course it is unnecessary with the new synchronization system. One of my ideas was to connect to my office computer, sync all bookmarks, and then switch to the new sync - but unfortunately being unused for years, it turns out that the monitor was dead, and the graphics card seemed to be roasted (felt like it anyway).

  Any ideas?

  This may not work (Firefox sync isn't a backup system, so this will probably fail), but it's worth a try:

  • Download Firefox 28 of ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/28.0/win32/en-US/ (do not use what anyone other that recover your sync account, it is not safe and should not be used on the internet)
  • Connect to Firefox Sync, download your data.
  • Upgrade to Firefox 33.1.1 (Update Firefox to the latest version)
  • Updated to the new Firefox Sync, synchronize your bookmarks from Firefox, history, passwords, etc.

• X 61 Tablet died suddenly

  I was using a Thinkpad X 61 Tablet for several years. A few days ago I found the Tablet cannot be turned on. I hear a little noise when I use the battery to start. Looks like this noise may come from the battery and the mothboard. It is not the noise of the fan. While the passage to the provided AC mode, the noise is gone.   Have you tried using a different power adapter for your X 61? I would try that first if you haven't; I had a laptop once, that does not illuminate and it's the adapter. It's worth a shot.

  Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

  Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

  1. Download the latest version of Firefox from mozilla.org office (or choose the download for your operating system and language on this page) and save the file to install it on your computer.
  2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (or open the Firefox menu

  3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
