T500 migrate win 7 32 bit to 64 bit

Hello

I know that it is possible to migrate 32 bit OS to 64-bit, I called Lenovo support for discs recovery order,

They said that, in Poland rcovery media will not be sent,

My question is how to migrate win 7 32-bit to 64-bit?

How to get the instalation/recovery Lenovo support?

I'm assuming that the system was built by Lenovo and Lenovo is an OEM distributor and so Lenovo is responsible

send installation media, but how when Lenovo Poland sends me to microsoft, and microsoft has sent me to the Lenovo OEM retailer?

Help me.

Lenovo has maintained a policy that the user can buy the 64-bit support, perhaps you should call again and tell them you want to buy the 64-bit support to the recovery.

  • Cannot use Win 10 and win 8 32-bit

I have Windows 7 64 bit... now I want to install win 10 with 32 bit also tried to win 8 but it is gives error message saying please enter 64 bit Boot cd installation will start automatically.   What should I do? IS 64-bit is set on my laptop? or what can I do? Please suggest

Please note that during the migration of the 32-bit versions of Windows for 64-bit Windows versions, you must boot from the installation disc. This means that you must do a custom installation, read more:

  • Legal upgrade (and activate) for Win7 64-bit Windows XP 32-bit WITHOUT overwriting current (replacing) Win XP 32-bit install?

I use version OEM Windows XP HOME 32 bits on a Gateway desktop computer - with no problems.  However, the hard drive is to reach the end of its planned life expectancy, and approaching the period of support for XP.

To solve the problem, I installed a new (small capacity) hard drive, with the intention to install Win 7 Pro (64 bit) on the new drive.  I read and reread ALL instructions on different help pages (for installation) (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/)... and avoided all of the common problems.

Currently I have the old (Win XP) and the new hard drive physically assigned to DH0 DH1 - as a CUSTOM, run Setup. -leaving me with a choice of dual-boot to initialize the top between "Earlier version of Windows" (on DH1) and Windows 7 (on DH0).  They both starts without any problem.

HOWEVER - during inspection, I see that the folder "OLD Windows" on Windows 7 drive in a VACUUM.  This indicates that installation of Windows 7 does not recognize the existence of my current installation of Windows XP on the other hard drive?  Upon activation, I get the dreaded
    "Windows 7 activation error: 0xC004F061.
because "a previous version of Windows wasn't on your computer when Windows 7 was installed. To install an upgrade version of Windows 7, Windows Vista or Windows XP must be installed on your computer. "

The new Windows 7 must be installed on the same drive as the old Windows XP  In order to activate the 'upgrade '?

I have no problem with the drudgery of migrating my data and install applications from one drive to another with an empty directory "OLD Windows" - as long as both car are mounted.  My only question is to know if the 'new' Win 7 64 - bit OS SHOULD replace the old XP 32-bit operating system in order to Activate the newly installed operating system Win 7 64 bit.

Is there an 'Official' Microsoft document that answers this question?

    Thank you

  • About the Win 7 32 bit to 64 bit update

I buy a desktop dell with license teacher 32 window 7. But the architecture of the system is 64-bit. Can I install win 7 prof 64 bit on the same machine with win 7 32 bit license key? If this is not the case, what is the solution.

    Yes, you can.

You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.

Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive. (In this case, you will see a collection of files, the important"that you must search for and double-click is 'migsetup'.) run it and create a DAMP (Windows Easy Transfer file), if you have an external hard drive, you can access it later when you perform a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit disk so you can stored there.

Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed.

    Issues related to the:
    1 does extproc for Oracle 64-bit 11.1.0.7 on Win 2003 64 - bit 32-bit DLL load?
2 when searched got a quite a lot of link on extproc32 (for all versions of UNIX), but not for Windows and found this link Extproc32 installation - what want to say it is not possible to load the 32-bit on Windows 64-bit installation DLL?

  • Latest version of Firefox does not work on Win 7 64 bit

Downloaded the latest version of Firefox and installed on my newly built computer Win 7 64 bit. When I click on the shortcut of Firefox, it absolutely nothing happens. No processes appear in the Task Manager, nothing. Googled the question and I tried many patches recommended without result. At a loss on how to fix, Firefox is unusable at this point.

In the case where the program files were damaged during installation, you can try:

    Clean reinstall it

    (A) download a fresh Installer for Firefox 41.0.1 of https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ in an ideal location. (Scroll down your preferred language).

    (B) delete the folder of the current program to:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox

    (C) run the installer downloaded to (A). I'm NOT suggesting it as an administrator.

    Any improvement?

  • iTunes - stay on Win 7 64 bit upgrade, win 10 64-bit

I am running Win 7 64 bit on an older PC (disputed material 4 GB memory limitation). I have an iPhone TO an ipad mini and an old ipad.

Specifically regarding iTunes - should I stay with what works fine now (Win 7 64-bit) or take advantage of the free upgrade (?) to win 10 64 bit.

Yes, I know... a little late to ask this question. I keep procrastinating.  I search for related positions, did not find anything that general.

If you decide to improve see your iTunes backup for Windows with SyncToy library for a backup plan proposed. iTunes seems does not fare terribly well during an upgrade on Windows 10 site so it might be an idea to uninstall all Apple software before upgrading, and then reinstall later. Hi again,

How will I know if my old Qosmio G30-198 is compatible with win 7 64 bit? I think that there are some not compatible microprocessors.

    Thank you

    Hello

    As I m not wrong, G30-198 supports the Intel® Core 2 Duo T7200 processor

According to the Intel page http://ark.intel.com/products/27255/Intel-Core2-Duo-Processor-T7200 this processor supports 64-bit architecture
So you shouldn't have trouble to install a 64-bit system

  • No sound on a Satellite P100-324 using don't Win 7 64 bit

    Hi all

    I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite P100 - 324.
I installed Win 7 64 bit on this computer and I have problem with sound now.

My sound does not work. I tried to install a driver but without result.
I tried to download the driver from realtek but it was the same thing.

Do you know how I can run on this PC?

    Thanks for your advice

    Marek

    Hello

Satellite P100-324 belongs to the series of PSPA6E.
The European driver Toshiba page asserts that Realtek audio driver should be compatible.
But the Realtek audio driver Toshiba on page is released for Win 7 32 bit, not 64-bit.

I recommend the driver on the Realtek page. There you should find one that suits.

You can also check the Dev ID and could find the compatible driver for internet.

  • NB550D - best way to install Win 7 64-bit and 64-bit drivers

    Hello

I improved my NB550D to Windows7 Home Premium and installed 4 GB of RAM.
This works much better, but want to go further and make a Windows7 Ultimate _64bit_ _clean install_ in order to take full advantage of theupgrade in RAM.

My question is: what should I do about the Toshiba drivers for 64-bit? I guess I'm going to need some?

What is the best way to go about the upgrade - any help will be appreciated! : D

If you need to switch to Win 7 64 bit, then you need some Win 7 64 bit drivers.
On the European driver Toshiba page, I could find some 64-bit drivers, but it seems that not all Toshiba for Win 7 64-bit tools are released.

Drivers for WLan or BT stack can be found here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/Bluetooth/

Other drivers or Toshiba tools such as value added package or Face Recognition, Eco utility and others could be used with other series of portable for example by Satellite C660D or others such as L750D, L755D or C670D
Surely you must pay attention to the integrated graphics chip, the LAN or the chipset
Use the drivers that are released for fleas in NB550D
