T500 switchable graphics card

I had an opportunity T500 and read about it. How to identify if it has a switchable graphics card? When I go into the Windows XP Device Manager, I see a card ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650.

If it has ATI gpu, then it is a switchable graphic model.

  • Upgrade to Windows 10 & option lost switchable graphics card

Sorry if this has been discussed before. I looked for a solution for the last hour, and I don't have much time today. I need to solve this problem as soon as possible. My problem was when I upgraded to Windows 10 on my laptop Windows 8.1 Y40-70. This laptop has the video card Radeon R9. After you have installed Windows 10. I lost the option when I right click on the desktop, the option "switchable graphics card. The laptop detects only the Intel version in the map.

Is there a solution for this yet? Thank you

  • Switchable graphics card

I have a HP Pavilion g7-1167dx Notebook PC with Windows 7 x64bit Home Edition. Is the switchable graphics card, which would be better upgrade for games or other compatible cards?

I think you're asking if you can replace the existing graphics card with a new one?

No, unfortunately this is not an option.

With your system, you can switch to 8 GB of RAM. Done that and uninstalling unnecessary programs can help performance.

    Hello:

There is no graphics card AMD switchable for my model, even with a BIOS update.  That is right.

Or is it still be grayed out as in the current state.  That is right. An update of the BIOS will do nothing to allow you to change the graphic memory settings.  Everything will be grayed out as before.

So if I overload a game settings, from the middle to the extreme, this means that most of the 3 GB memory graphics will be allocated to catch the game? Or even will not use the 737 MB dedicated?   The laptop will initially use all the dedicated memory.  If that wasn't enough, he will then consume the maximum (2.4 GB) memory system available and put it to the chart.

  • The W700 has a switchable graphics card?

The GPU dedicated to the Integrated GPU?

I have received conflicting information on this subject?

I was told of any system is also switchable discrete graphics.

The W700 is not have switchable graphics. Visit this site and download pdf portable ThinkPad, (the expedition of Tabuk), in it you will find the specifications for all current ThinkPads.

    Hope this helps

  • Deliver the switchable graphics card Windows 8.1

Hi, I had a problem since upgrading to Windows 8.1 with my graphic card on my laptop. I tried to go through the official support, but they were not very useful (I wanted to reinstall windows 7 and stick to it) so I decided to try one last time to repair my laptop here.

I have a HP ENVY Ultrabook 4 - 1053tx http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4132&lc=en&cc=my&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=5285... , which has no windows 8.1 on the site of HP drivers. It came with Windows 7 that I upgraded to 8 (no problems with it).

Since the upgrade to 8.1, I met the following problems:

-Audio is choppy / stutters not bad, which is very annoying when listening to music. I am facing this problem in any media player, I have try and on Youtube/all other Web site. This problem occurs only when the laptop is connected which leads me to think that it is a problem with the 7670 M Radeon HD card or driver. The laptop is on the 'performance' mode when plugged in (i.e. the best graphics) and use the Intel one 4000 when it's on battery power.

-If the laptop goes to sleep / screen saver turns on, I sometimes wake up questions. Sometimes the screen goes black for a few seconds then the office returns, and a box at the bottom on the right say that the Radeon driver handed over a fall.

-J' have a video game installed (Football Manager 2012 through Steam). If the laptop is disconnected, or I put the game specifically to use graphs when it is connected to energy saving, the game loads fine. He tries to open with the Radeon card, it hangs or does not load. This happens every time.

Symptoms make me feel that there is something wrong with the Radeon graphics card or its drivers. I tried to reinstall the intel and drivers radeon (win 8 versions), but it has not solved the problem. I also tried to install the driver to win 8.1 for the 7670M I found here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4158&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=5371... but it also does not solve the problem.

I tried to reinstall win 7, then upgrade to 8, then the upgrade to 8.1, but which does not either. I am out of resources on this topic. I don't really want to go back to windows 8 as I like the improvements to the 8.1 but these questions (one audio including) are driving me crazy.

Thanks for reading this, I hope that you have any ideas for me. :-)

Well, I think that I found a solution to my problem for a long time. It seems to boil down to a problem with the start program Intel RepID. I changed the mode "acceleration" of "Maximized" by establishing "Enhanced" in it, and so far this has solved the problem! I've been using the laptop plugged in for a little over an hour and no problems so far.

I can't take credit for the difficulty, I stumbled on this thread that had the same symptoms whch pointed only when it is connected, and they thought it was to do with the technology of quick start: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-PC-Sound-and-Audio/Crackling-sound-while-playing-music-in-HP-SPECTRE-15-4010nr/td-p/2386327/page/5

In any case, thanks for your help @Dindin trying to solve the problem. I hope that this means no more problems with my laptop :-)

    Above and outside.

  • Need driver for Mobility Radeon 4550 switchable graphics card

I bought one of the last available compressed games, a TouchSmart tm2t. Switchable graphics has served me well, until recently. Most of the games work without problem, but Dead Island and Dota 2 are not playable. The last pilot carried out since September 2010. Is it possible that I can get the games to work? I'm even willing to hack my driver, if that's what it takes.

HP has ugly support for driver or BIOS updates for out of production models.  We have no count on the help of the community.

Leshcat has a set of drivers updated the switchable graphics, updated for the ATI Catalyst drivers and Intel.  If you find his work useful, think of Leshcat support by donating some money for him:

  • All daredevil graphics driver updates available? Intel/ATI switchable graphics card.

    Hello.

Recently, I noticed that my laptop is unable to play Second Life without almost causing an epileptic seizure.

There is a strobe effect in the game, where it should not be a. The UI all strobes. The strobes on the ground. My brain racing.

I disabled the basic shaders. Oh good, the UI don't strobe. Just what else...

After clicking on the Second Life forums, I was struck with "update your graphics driver.

Well, I have the latest graphics driver for HP. He's old. Very old.

I use the model HP Pavilion g6-2215tx has an Intel HD4000 + ATI 7670 M. The 7670 is more than capable of execution of Second Life. I know that cos my friend has a laptop with a. It also has the latest drivers. Second Life is not strobe for him.

Are there drivers available that contain the 12.104 (later at reading) ATI Display Driver? I tried the update through ATI, but it said I didn't have a card (explain why BF3 works so flawlessly smooth then!), however I noticed pilot that Intel updated with happiness.

If there is no available drivers that have been released in the past 4 months, I can use (official or unofficial) I want to hear about them. I have enough trouble that I can't run Second life. I don't have another computer that can really...

    Hello

You will need to look at the offers 3rd party.  The site on the following link has helped a lot of people facing the same question as you, but I highly recommend reading the guide - especially to understand why Driver Signature Enforcement "must be diasbles to load these custom drivers.

From personal experience (Intel 3000 / ATI 7690 M XT under Windows 8), they generally work very well, but you can find a special version fits your laptop, better than the other.

  • Brightness unadjustable for 'High Performance' in the graphics card technology switchable

    Hello

I just made the transition to Windows 7 Professional on my Thinkpad R400(2787-A31)

However, after installing the driver for Thinkpad switchable graphics card, I am unable to set my brightness if I use mode performance. My laptop comes with ATi Radeon 3470 and Intel GMA 4500MHD.

I have already installed most of the drivers, and after a few tests, I realized that it was the switchable graphics driver that cause this problem. Before the installation of this driver, I've been on the ATi Radeon all this time and I can change the brightness.

I hope someone can help me with this problem of driver. My installation of the drivers was the support page. All except the controller PCI of communication Simple to their drivers.

Ok........ I think I solved the problem by upgrading the BIOS with the latest version. I don't know why it would solve the problem, but it worked!

A link to the version of the BIOS 3.09/3.10 is listed below. Good luck. It is the version I've used.

  • Is it possible to change the graphics card in my laptop?

    Hello

I have a laptop HP Pavillion with switchable graphics card. One of them is the Intel HD 4000, and the other is the Radeon HD M 8670.

I was wondering if there is any way that I can improve my Radeon HD 8670 M for a better graphics card because it can not really running the games that well :/ I get okay-ish images per second, but still not good enough.

  • cannot operate my Radeon graphics card

    HP Pavilion DV6-6190us, windows 7 64 bit,

Hi, my laptop has a switchable graphics card: intel & Radeon HD 6770 M

I use heavy graphics applications such as MAYA and play heavy graphic games. The problem is, in my opinion, my laptop is using the graphics card intel instead of Radeon. Games are much slower than they were. I don't hear the cooling fan most!

How can I make sure that the Radeon is active and running?

Hi, please go through the below weblink, I hope that they would find useful. Using the ATI Catalyst Control Center application, you can manage the dual graphics cards.

  • Mac user but seen the light... Made the T410 (i7) switchable graphics?

    Dear all!

I am happy to find Lenovo forum and have the question above firmly answered before you buy this machine.

Please answer and thank you in advance! Now is 01:48 in Hawaii, so I'm heading to bed and look forward in all the answers later on Thursday.

    Thanks again!

    Sincerely,

    newOwner

The Thinkpad only in the current generation which has switchable graphics card is the T410s, all other laptops using the Integrated GPU or Nvidia GPU.

  • PROBLEMS T400 with switchable graphics technology.

A few months ago, I bought T400. without having to install any other drivers.
    BUT yesterday.
I install a driver (which is said to be able to activate the switchable graphics card)
    from here: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-70417.html

I download the files and then extract all.
then I went to the place where I extract and install the Setup file.

After installing and restrting, I click with the right button on the destop and click Catalyst Control Center.
BUT he jumped a Catalyst Control Center Notification:

"ATI Catalyst Control Center cannot be started because the active GPU is not supported."

    After that nothing came out.

Can someone show me how to solve this problem?
How do I CHANGE my GPU
How to make my switchable map USABLE chart.

Thanks in advance. need to solve this problem. appreciated. =]

Hello... Im just solve the same problem while I touched your post...

you clicked on the power evil (of windows) icon, you need to right click the icon of the Lenovo Power Manager, it's just to the left of all windows system tray icons. You must install the Lenovo Power Manager or activate the Power Manager icon to the correct RMB )

  • Switchable Graphics issues

DV7 6143 cl Windows 7 home Premium AMD HD graphics driver and graphics driver Intel high definition (HD)

Initial F13 BIOS updated F.1A year last = graphics adds support switchable mode fixed.

I have never even pondered graphics drivers or switchable graphics until recently. I use the computer for photographs, files ebook, documents and internet and the display was always beautiful.

Then I had a driver related stop isolated message and when I looked in the event viewer to find a large number of error messages = EEU ATI could not send a message to the CCC.

So I updated the driver AMD through the site of HP (sp55092.exe) support and the driver package apparently downloaded from the website of catalyst. When the installation has reached the stage where location is determined, that he did to x 86 files but said that the CCC folder does not exist. Let him create this folder and the installation was successful. I rebooted and everything seems fine.

Given that I have never changed the graphics settings:

Is it possible that they that management of the catalyst files did not exist before?

Would the BIOS earlier same supported graphics switchable?

    Hello

It is a bit confusing, however Intel download is included for dv7 models that don't have an Intel GPU and it would be the only situation when the Intel driver must be used - should really be listed as an option to download for your specific machine and depending on the version you tried, it would fail always to install.

With Intel/ATI switchable graphics card, so the drivers required are always installed with the software AMD option.

    Kind regards
